Joan Osborne: real woman, real music. She gives me great hope and joy. I admire her so much! I highly recommend both her recent albums, "How Sweet It Is" and "Breakfast in Bed."
Too bad she could'nt get a break on the "Louisville Music Scene" This city does nothing to support the great wealth of talent that can be found here. This city is loaded with great singers and songwriters, more so than Nashville, but very few in Loisville seem to recognize the fact. Joan found her niche in New York City and never looked back. Congratulations on your career Joan Osborne. You are a remarkable talent.
Very good! Song was originally by Dave Mason but has been covered by the likes of Eric Clapton, Phil Collins, Delaney and Bonnie ... Thanks for uploading the vid, derekific :D
A good singer but she never quite knew what direction to take. Shes done rock, soul, blues and country well but never chose to specialize on one style. She's all over the place and this damaged her career,
MY, there's that "raspy" voice of hers again...LOVE THAT GIRL!!!
She does what she wants to do.
Some musicians don't have to "sell out."
that's not damage to her career, that's control of her career.
SHE NEEDS TO SELL OUT. THAT'S HOW SINGERS MAKE THEIR MONEY. SHE LUCKY IF SHE'S HALF EMPTY ON A GOOD DAY. 😂 🤣 😂
She owns this song. KickIn ass!

I've always liked the Delaney & Bonnie version, but this is really good as well.
What an amazing voice......
Superb!

This is a late reaction, but I only came across this vid richt now.
Your story is so sweet and made me smile.
Greetz from a dutch lady....
thanks for the clip, gotta love Joan :-)
She's paid a lot of dues before she got to this point. You have no idea. She's a seasoned pro and a great artist.
That is great Slimjim, the thought I could give you a moment of smiling makes me feel good too.
greetz from Holland.

God is one of Us!
Dave has GOT to be PROUD...
Muito massa... Sou fã dessa mulher
Delaney and Bonnie, whom I love, had a hit with this song. but it was written and recorded by Dave Mason first.
Sorry for the typo....meant to say Louisville.
god, are there any women out there like her????? She's smashing. Can you write or something if you're out there.....LOL
Them sistas is fine!
The one on bass has a nice sound from that red Sadowsky!
Maybe to people that like boring music. Never understood those people that wanted to hear just one kind of music out of an artist
Great performance. The sound mix is to biased towards the bass though, I can barely hear the keyboardist and the guitar comes through weak.
Good ears!
she's a sneaky one..another sheryl crowe/shania twain etc..
Janis
I see she grew up and lost the nose ring.

She seems to be doin ok
ONE OF THE MOST OVERRATED SINGERS OUT THERE.
Respectfully disagree
One of the best singers
