One of the few airports where massive wooden floors are prioritized. It is so great for inner atmosphere, reducing sound and just give you the feeling of exclusivity. Lately, Copenhagen Airport has introduced more economy friendly restaurants and take-aways also - as well as open lounge (you pay a fee, but not restricted to specific airline)
Hi Erik thanks for watching! I agree with you, it really is a nice airport, but... like most other international airports most of the restaurants or bars found in the passenger areas do not have prices that cater to the average "economy class" or "charter" travelers (as mentioned most airports are the same in that respect)!
Traveller yes thats right. living in the usa i always find scandnavia expensive anyway. the problem with any airport is that private business must pay a high lease and high taxes that gets passed on to us. .
Traveller its is a problem that is causeing many travelers to bring there own food. maybe in time this could cause prices in airports to fall. or at least slow down an increase in prices. What is funny is that we can by duty free achohol and cigarettes. but must pay at least 5 to 7 us dollars to drink a beer at osl or cph or JFK and now we almost cant smoke in the airports.
You are absolutely right! CPH was made a smoke free airport a few years back but now they have re-introduced an outdoor smoking area in the passenger area, I believe. If I was a smoker, and I have been, I would definitely avoid transit in an airport where I could not smoke (I am guessing that this is why they re-opened a smoking area at CPH => potential loss of transit passengers). Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

I´m so glad this is my local airport. I´ve been at many airport and this is the best. I thougt the airports in America would be better but no, CPH is the best airport in my opinion.
Hi there MB, thanks for watching our video and sharing your opinion! We also enjoy CPH airport (our local airport too) and the other Scandinavian ones too, but service/ passenger experience wise , there are many airports in the East that CPH cannot compare too (in our opinion), places liked Changi Airport :-D
@@TravellerYT Indeed, as a Dane myself, the Airports of Asia are just on another level. Changi is a fav. of mine, always enjoy my time at Changi. USM airport is my fav. small airport. So cozy and open. I wonder what CPH will look like in full, when it is fully expanded to suit 40mil. anual passengers. Also, I am old enough to remember and have visited Kai Tak back in the day, what it lacked in modern amentities and looks, it had in spades when it came to those spectacular checkerboard landings. New HKG is very nice aswell. I am not a fan of the ME airports like DXB, DOH and AUH ets. They look like beverly hills shopping malls and are too glitterly for my taste. US airports are old and worn and very dark and claustrophobic due to the heavy concrete use and few open spaces. FRA and ZRH in the 90s were amazing compared to others aswell. And my pet peeve airport is LCY, I love that airport - My mother is English, and my great grandmother had an apartment in North Woolwich, which is small borough adjacent to the runway, she lived on the 7th floor, and I would spend hours upon hours sitting in the bedroom window looking at planes landing and taking off. I was also lucky enough to fly in and out of the airport a few times. Nice video, of a grea airport btw.
May 6th, flying Birmingham U.K. to Narita Japan, three hours at Copenhagen. anywhere best to sit and watch the aircraft ? great video. I love airports.
Lucky you! Most places in the airport have huge windows where you can watch the "docked" planes, push-backs and arrivals. The runway is rather far from the gates so the view of aircraft landing and taking off is limited. At 07:54 down in the direction of Gates A and by Starbucks and the restaurant there is a nice platform with tables and chairs where you get some nice views (see from 08:09). Just remember you will be flying out of the EU so your plane will be around Gate Area C (Gate C area can be seen here:ua-cam.com/users/edit?o=U&video_id=z1hb65O2gxE , our flight from Copenhagen in a Dreamliner) , a good walk from Gates A and you will have to pass passport control again! Hope this information helps! Have a super trip!! :-D
Traveller Thank you Sir, perfect information. If you ever have the opportunity to visit Japan, Narita and Haneda are the most spotter friendly Airports I have ever visited. Thanks again, Cheers.
Hi RVN, it´s a nice airport to walk around, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants that help to pass the time when waiting :-D Thanks for watching and commenting!

Hi John, it depends how you are getting to the airport and what time your airline recommends you be at the check-in desks. For example, budget airlines are very strict with there check-in times and when to check-in. When we travel we always try to be at the airport two hours before our flight, that gives us time to check-in, pass security and get to the gate without any stress (it´s s nice airport with plenty of shops to look at, or restaurants to have a snack, meal, drink or a coffee). Definately check the website of the airline that you are flying with :-D
