Nice looking hay live about 2 hours south of you did I hear you right saying the bales only weighed 45 pounds where were they at when I was hand stacking and putting them in a barn 45 years ago Carl at his best not a grumpy guy lol can’t wait to see fall harvest
The new Barron in the last video, I am guessing that's the second one ? How old is the first one ? I am guessing they pay for themselves in the speed you get the hay off the field ? Loved the drones shots of the parked equipment.
I can’t believe I didn’t make that more clear. Good catch. Dew surprisingly. Extremely early an overcast set in and the hay got tough. Baler monitors were reading 30% but it was a little whacked out because the hay was fine and dry the next day looking at the last stuff baled
@@FarmingInsider Been there;) late in the day early evening you can watch the baler moister climb every round on them days. I've baled 10-12 moister alfalfa during the day and a by sunset the balers reading low twenty's and the pressure has dropped like a rock, check the bales with the hand probe in the morning there be nothing over 15%
Unbelievable how well you guys use your equipment to get things done. Excellent video.
We try to be as efficient as possible. Thanks Lance!
Definitely the best hay videos out there. I look forward to new videos when they come out. Great job!!! Thank you
What an operation you have…. I hope this was a great year for your family farm.
Thanks! It was a good year
All that equipment paid for wow what a operation you got there
Thank you Rakeem, not all of it is paid for but it does pay for itself

yes sir 45-48 in the sweet spot
Those barons are monsters
beasts!
That was a lot of hay
for sure!
Carl's famous words, i know nothing.
He sticks to his truth lol
Have you looked into bale stakers?
Just curious why you went with the pickup baron instead of the tow behind baron
The baron has the capacity to follow multiple balers so you are throttling it's productivity just following 1
@@FarmingInsider makes sense with the amount of bailers you guys have. we have two bailers and two barons.
What kind of preservative do you use?
silo-king hay and sila prime

Yes they are definitely worthwhile. We run 3 now. They are all new
@@FarmingInsider Did you get rid of the Arcusins? If so can you tell us why?
Would you please tell me if you have used Arcusin? If yes, how do you compare it to Bale Baron?
Yeah, we use 3. they are great machines. They are geared for the smaller producers
Why the switch to the Barons?
Better capacity
Where are the chopping videos this year?
They didn't happen!
farming insider what do you think of the red tractors. I run green one's the now . like the look of the red one's.
Massey's have treated us very well!
What happen to the Arcusin;s?
We still have them
Is this real life or farm simulator 18?
haha sometimes it doesn't feel real
Shut down at 6 pm because your done, or dew?
