It all be so simple if people just date within their own lane. I.E: Culture, Skin Color, Race, Etc. The mixing/swirling culture is being shoved down our throats on tv, media, etc and it just nasty. Jeanie better off dating a Vietnamese man. Black and Hispanic/Latino folks need to understand that Asians and South Asians DO NOT LIKE US so we should not be mingling with them.

Sometimes you both think you can compromise on certain things but practically when it's happening in front of you and with a kid you might have a change of heart. Also not all cultural differences are addressed before the baby comes, it doesn't take 2 years to learn about your spouse's cultures even after 15 years there are new things you will learn. That's an issue that many people who date and marry interacially, dont take into account. Cultural values lead to many many divorces. Jeezy may have liked the idea of a culture where men and women play a specific role in the household and non-western cultures do embrace that traditional role, but he under-estimated the importance of family in that culture. I know from experience that the asian community is very family oriented, to the point that relatives do move in with the new married couple. If you don't like a jam packed household then you may wanna reconsider.. Italians, middle eastern, African and Hispanic families are the same in that aspect. They believe you have to earn your way into the family and you shouldn't tarnish the family name. They still abide by tradition that we in the west have largely abandoned. Personally I do favor roles in the household but if you come from a culture where your family isn't that involved in your household, then I can see how it can be overwhelming. Jeezy was probably thinking, "Look, I married you, not them.".. He just didn't realize when you marry into these traditionalist families, you are marrying into the family and they take it literally.
It could also be true that Jeannie Mai's well documented temperament issues could also have led to the separation as well. He isn't trying to come home to attitude and dis-unity in his household and with his social standing, he has alot of options and figured he could do better. Based on some of the things she said in the past and how she reportedly treated her ex-husband, I can only imagine the difficulty of living under one roof with her. There's a reason why her ex-husband said, "I upgraded" when re-marrying to another woman after their divorce. Men have to realize that it may be exciting in the bedroom to date these alternative women, but trying to build a household with them is another story. You shouldn't have to mold someone to respect your boundaries and it's a red flag for any woman to say, "I need a man who can handle me."
Her statements about black men on the view also disqualified her, but some men look past the flags and have to learn the hard way.

Jeezy always likes to portray himself as a shrewd and well thought through hustler, this move looked anything but well thought through. Hopefully, he has at least made sure she now has a more educated perspective on black men, if only for the sake of their young child.

👏🏽 Your last statement. We’re all evolving as human beings and it’s unfair to place a timeframe on someone else’s growth & progress.
Everyone keeps forgetting that Jeannie’s statements regarding black men were made in 2014, during a time of her life where it’s worth mentioning that she was married to her first husband, a white man, at the time; She probably made those statements to appeal to her then, husband. Mind you, no one considers that Jeannie Mai is herself a biracial individual or even how her statements could’ve offended her Chinese or Vietnamese male relatives and/or Asian counterparts.
But even if she didn’t, my views on race and marriage have changed since then. In 2014, I probably would’ve considered entering into an interracial marriage. However now that I’m older I understand the negative implications of such a decision and nowadays would decide against it. Everyone’s experience is different and I wouldn’t totally write her off or view her as racists because of ignorant statements made in her past. 🙋🏾‍♂️My $.02

Here's the thing. Jeezy is really into Self development. That's amazing and I think he should take that same approach to his marriage. Couples therapy and comittment to working to strengthen the marriage should have been tried before jumping straight to divorce. All the reasons I heard thus far are minor; workable issues. When you build a house it takes time to settle... cracks will appear... and after they are repsired, a house will always need upkeep, repairs, and updates. Marriage is just like people, a work in progress. Unless it's been tried over and over and Jeanie was deadlock against...working on anything.... Jeezy jumped the gun on this one. Perhaps he isn't ready for what marriage really takes. *** disclosure; these thoughts are based off what we know thus far, he may have very compelling reasons of a serious nature that we/ I don't know about....

    • @AN-fg4cd
      @AN-fg4cd Рік тому +27

Because he is NOT the marrying type. Jeezy has a history of leaving his women before their child is 2 years old. Long-term commitments is not his thing.

He likes the honeymoon stages only.

Rarely do I see them talking about their Black husband in a way that actually matters. It’s always a backhand compliment or passive aggressive dig towards Black women. Jeannie did that shit too. Every time she talked about Jeezy, she made it about sex, or their private conversations. She never respected him or his boundaries as a husband literally telling the public their personal business. Jeezy strikes me as the type of man person that values privacy. Jeannie runs her damn mouth too much. I knew it was a wrap when she talked about having sex with Jeezy & liking to be on top bc he would play with her belly when she was pregnant 🤢 I don’t think “tough conversations” weren’t had simply bc if nothing else, Jeannie is transparent. We taught them to respect others whenever they have their holidays and now that they’re 7 & 4 years old they tell all their classmates and teachers why we don’t celebrate those holidays. They never feel left out in any way because they understand the reason why it doesn’t make sense to us. Kids are super intelligent and if giving reason why we don’t do certain things they completely understand. We taught our kids to believe in themselves and never be the followers of others. We teach them to be proud of their beliefs, and their cultures so it has never been any issue for us. I’m sure it’s definitely challenging to come together with completely different backgrounds and cultural viewpoints. They probably assumed a lot about each other and didn’t take into account the extended family dynamics and raising a child. Black culture and Asian culture in my personal opinion are both are very dominant. So I can understand this turning upside down. Just from the outside looking in, it seems like interracial relationships for example Asian and Caucasian people work maybe because there is no fight for positional dominance in the relationship.

i noticed this aswell, certain cultures don't gel well together as a unit, that needs to be talked about more, any culture can have fun in the bedroom, maybe a good time dating, but longevity is something else as the emphasis on culture, family and values is heavyyyy.

Asians and African culture are dominant. Theres nothing like black culture. However am African living in Asia and i think we have many similarities. Whats disturbing these two is the modern black and. Modern asian culture! Both being dominant in nature, it becomes hard to reconcile. Forexample long ago in Asia women were meant to be submissive, this is what we blacks have too. But today in Asia women are not submissive its the mean that are with this generation. So a black man cant take that! Asian culture today is stressful, even here in asia alot of divorces and deaths are the outcome! They twisted the cultures. Only India philipines and a few are still intact

A lot of people actually Do not have these conversations. A lot of times we just start to notice how someone was raised, notice how their families interact. I know a lot of people who started having problems later on in relationships because these things were not discussed.

Don't let your child go to school that day when they're celebrating that particular holiday you don't celebrate.

My birthday is 2 days before Halloween. My mom never celebrated was completely against it! my dad on the other hand would buy me a costume and take me trick or treating. I’m glad I got to experience it as a child; but as an adult I don’t celebrate any holiday after doing my own research.

NO BUHSHYT‼️🤞🏾 Like WTF? They didn't even know each other, if it wasn't a PR relationship, that good new sex ain't hittn the same.
It was a huge culture shock for both of them, and then the fact that she said she liked her dark meat on the side I would not have been able to get past that. She would not have stood a chance.
Then she has her mom, and her sibling living in the house with them. that's absolutely too much! Black folks don't do allat unless their parents is sick. You need your own home, or you can maybe maybe live on the same street.
