This video was pre-filmed over a month ago. Editing this video gave me a chance to laugh and smile and I hope its a ray of sunshine during these times. With everything that is going on, all I can say is be the change that you want to see in the world, it starts with you. blacklivesmatters.carrd.co/

Life hack for hefty pts that need help ambulating: if they are sitting at the end of the bed and want to lay down, have a second person with you, one person helps them stand up and the other unlocks the bed and moves the bed so that the head of the bed is closer to the pt, make sure to relock it and then help them in the bed back to where it was. Saves everyone some pain.

Student taking notes, to sum it up:
    1. Pen on collar to save time (only after graduating. Them clothes aren't cheap and patients that have wine in their room have coldly murdered enough expensive clothing already)
    2. Making full use of your wristwatch when you need to count BPMs by reversing it onto your wrist (N/A to europe, wristwatch = wristslap for becoming a potential walking living transmission vector -- an adaptation would be to hang the watch somewhere you can always look at, being male = no boobs, probably an advantage as no weird creepy stares - will test)
    3. Write vitals on back of the glove instead of paper (absolute no-go, standards in EU would have you murdered by both fellow nurses and the docs for carrying the same used glove from room to room, contact or not)
    4. Warm up the steth's end prior to auscultation (moderate no-go, you're supposed to disinfect it between patients, alcohol = low evap T°, not supposed to touch diaphragm post-desinfection, gloved or not: check with teach)
    5. Glove on steth for each patient to avoid having to desinfect (100% go - one glove per patient)
    6. Roll of tape on steth' for easy access (either on ear side [100% no-go] or on the tube [100% no-go] - good way to get murdered by the head nurse - porous tape in contact with your scrub's germs)
    7. Prime tubing while using a glove as a spill-container (100% no-go, that glove ain't sterile = you're as good as dead, that glove is sterile = you wasted a pair. Sterile GL if no other good option?)
    8. Using talc or any topic protection solution to avoid the bed pan from sticking to the patient's butt (potential go - gotta ask then try if greenlit)
    9. Variant of the "vicks in the mask" technique: double it! (could freaking work with no teary eyes If there's a breakout of a certain well-known germ that turns any service into a big pool of poop: gotta try it)
Thanks a lot for sharing :D, I just wish more of these hacks were compatible with every country as there's just too many ways to get murdered around here. Keep up the great videos!

I would bring burts bees chapstick (brand doesn’t matter), it was super minty smelling and put it under my nose to help with the smell in cadaver lab!
