I really can't get that there are those who say George doesn't deliver anything new in this record and give the album like a 2.5/5. I mean, this is solid death metal, isn't that enough? If it's enough for ton of other bands out there why not for this guy who is now doing all the instruments and vocals? seriously.....
+Vivian Triana There's a lot of reasons why most people don't like this kind of music, but I feel like one key factor is how it's acoustically abrasive. This can be seen by mainstream music being easy on the ear and highly relatable. While on the other hand, this is all-up-in your face and hard to enjoy on first impression. Now I have been listening to extreme metal since I was a kid, so this isn't angry or loud to me, but to most people it's very loud noise. Sometimes to understand yourself, you have to know why people don't understand you.
+Matt Weismiller yes man, I get what you say... thing is death metal fans give this album bad reviews because of the lack of creativity, claiming this is a copy if Nile and nothing new. I was not able to understand those opinions (it sounds quite different to Nile) but now I'm ok with that, you're right, every person has its own opinions and who am I to question them? Cheers
+Vivian Triana That's probably because they don't like it's lack of creativity. Sometimes what a person says is exactly what they're saying. That may sound a bit redundant but people often look too much into metaphors, while ignoring the literal aspect of life. And where are you seeing these reviews? Is it universally mixed or are you referring to certain reviews?
All the time George has spent playing with Nile really paid off. His songwriting is very similar to Nile's and that's a good thing beacuse you can't deny that Nile is the best Death Metal band of the last 2 deacades.
Come forth, bow to me as I Rise, as clouds rain my blood I Rise upon the masses, I am the chosen one my kingdom Rises on mortals, across seas and skies Desolate thoughts of wisdom beneath a glass reality Behold, the endless taste of rapture who calls you to eternity, I Raise my fist to unbelievers, I am the faceless one born to Divine Those who will Rise, are those who shall Die, thy kingdom falls from grace as their gods are Burning Here and beyond you shall be my slaves, I am the holy one, I am the bringer of life Come forth, bow to me as I Rise, I am chosen one, I welter in l*** I Rise upon the masses, bow to the holy one my kingdom Rises on mortals, across seas and skies Desolate thoughts of wisdom beneath this Empty world Those who will Rise, are those who shall Die, thy kingdom falls from grace as their gods are Burning
Jesse Cabitac there are vocaless versions of these songs. and some with a digital metronome on youtube, I know its a late response but w/e. George is amazing, Vocals ,Guitars, AND MOST OF ALL PERCUSSION GOD!

Not only this song is amazing on the drum part, but it's also so damn riff-oriented, which makes it an absolute banger.
George is a music machine.

Come forth, bow to me as I Rise,

Here and beyond
you shall be my slaves,

I am the bringer of life
Come forth, bow to me as I Rise,
I am chosen one, I welter in l***
I Rise upon the masses, bow to the holy one
my kingdom Rises on mortals, across seas and skies
Desolate thoughts of wisdom
beneath this Empty world
Those who will Rise, are those who shall Die,
