  • 2022 Indian demo days test ride of an Indian Chieftain Dark Horse.
Took advantage of demo days to ride a beautiful smoke red 2022 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse. This bike has the 116 Cu In Engine with 126 ft-lbs of torque. Fork mounted fairing with infotainment system, keyless start, central locking hard bags and many more extras.
I enjoyed this ride as it reminds me of my SFDH. Hit me up if you have any questions.

I agree. It looks great. It sounds great and pulls like a beast too. Mine has had a little work done making it extra fun.

A walk around would've been helpful.

Which bike would you say was faster between the chieftain and the challenger? Im really stuck between the SFDH, Chieftain and Challenger.
I can’t decide! They all have things I like whether it’s a color, or a radio or just overall look.

I would say the challenger is faster but I ended up buying a SFDH to add to my garage and absolutely love it.

What mode were you in? Seems like you might have been in standard mode. Sport mode would have been more exciding.

Yes, kept it in standard because I couldn't really get on it in a group like that. Too busy watching other riders I don't trust. Lol. I have a sfdh 116 and in sport mode it is a beast so these engines are very capable.

Was this Friday 2022 or Saturday 2022? I was there Saturday 2022 and we had spotty rain all day

Think it was Saturday. There were some random raindrops on the windshield.

@@DrDiff952 I think I saw that happen. I'm sure you weren't the first or last to do that though.

I rode this same bike as a test ride. Felt cheap and looked like a plastic E.T. fairing staring back at me. While it rode way easier than a Street Glide as it has a better engineered design to it, but nonetheless... it felt like a lil' scooter. I bought a Street Glide Special and feel like a bad a*s on it because it feels, looks and sound legitimately like a brawler vs a fisher price toy. Sorry if anyone feels offended or angered by that, but that's how silly I felt on this bike. 5'2" female and I chose the Street Glide Special with a Stage 2 out the gate! Indian might have a better stock cookie cutter, but it ain't no American muscle when compared to Harley. 💃If you want it easy to ride, simple look and a confidence booster... buy an Indian!

I just finished a trip in which I rented a Street Glade ST for the week in Europe. There are things about the HD that I liked over the Indian but the 117 doesn't even come close to the performance of the 116 I have in my Springfield with stage 2. Not saying your impression is wrong or offensive. Each person could get a different take from these machines. I rode it for 10 days on highway, in town, and mountain passes and can say for me, I would go with Indian over the HD streetglide. Couldn't rent an Indian in Germany where I was.
