To me Pharrell is better at melody and drums but Kanye’s sampling is genius it’s a tough matchup. However overall I think Pharrell is the better producer I feel like he embodies what it truly means to be a music producer
Thats a good perspective
Well said 👌
Korbinian + Aiden Kenway + Navie D + Digging the Greats = Hip hop masterclass 🔥
thanks for that, just lost an hour that diggin the greats is a beast!. anymore decent music channels? or hiphop channels? peace🙏
All my favorite

Both are dope in its own ways, it shouldn't be judged like 0-1 theyre differently dope. It's not sport when you can be clearly faster or stronger than someone, art is different
Hell yeah the purpose of this video is to present both production styles
That is true but if you took both produces and go back in the days who would survive.
pusha-t has to be the most blessed rapper when it comes to producers working for him!
Fr tho
Pharrell is a musician who has studied music theory.
That's the core difference to their approach. Pharrell has the blend of technical knowledge and understanding with feel and emotion. Kanye is more of a "find his way in the dark" kind of producer.
Genuinely terrible description for Kanye
@@silloweetalright then how will you describe it
@@slugdoom5373 For a start I wouldn’t use a phrase that describes beginners
@@silloweetbut that's exactly how Kanye started. He never learned to play a instrumental the traditional way. Almost all his beats are sampled
@@mrlofi333 He started off by being mentored by a professional producer
Fun Fact: 88-keys actually produced Pusha T’s Diet Coke Kanye just added some touches to it. 5:14
he redid the drums and added the vocal chops
Kanye and it’s not really close, the amount of talent he has is insane
It’s very close
Pharrell has insane talent too lol 😂
Cool stuff. Always interesting to have a look at how they make their beats
Because... that's Kanye- and that's Pharell-
exactly someone finally gets it
Or someone doesn't get the bigger picture, which is this excellent opportunity to learn from them both.
Love ur videos bro. Always coming through with some fire topics
Its more of a like Nature vs Nurture argument, Kanye is more on the soul, he's oftentimes brazen with his sounds and uncanny but in some weird ways, it sounds raw, and it feels like the music itself is an identity of its own. he's producer style is "free and naturalistic." Pharell on the other hand is methodical, a scientist. his part on the album feels fixed and complex. he's versatile but in a way that there's a set of rules in order to make Sound A sounds like Sound A. And it's that way Pharell's sounds so fucking cool like "ohh shitt thats fucking dope that chord A is in correlation with the kicks etc." It's like a Robot. It can do a lot of things that humans can take a lot of days to complete due to the limits of the human body in just one day or less. With Kanye, you feel, With Pharell, you analyze.
in my opinion pharrell and ye werent really at their height on it's almost dry imo. plus pharrell produced most of his songs solo, whereas ye had co-producers.
Tbf kanye has had coproducers since like late reg
@@chrispo7610even before Late Registration, Ye has almost always been a collaborator when it comes to art.
It’s the reason he’s still a relevant artist today, he’s not afraid to work with new artists and producers throughout time to put his own spin on trending sounds.
pharrell literally had chad hugo
@@vv5690 not on the pusha album bro
@@jeddysteve8330 you right
Man your editing is goated
You are a legend man
bro made a Netflix doc
My bro :)
your videos are actually very good
thanks that means a lot :)
Kanye West makes hot beats however he samples meaning he needs music to create his sound. Pharrell on the other hand is musically inclined musician also makes hot beats. If you talking about who's a better produces it would have to be Pharrell because he doesn't need sample to create music.
a better comparison is pharrell and timbaland
Hell yeah that one would be a banger 🙏
Especially since they have collaborated together and their sounds are similar but different at the same time
What songs would you be most interested in?
timbaland is sped up pharrell beats
@@JB-qz3cdtimbaland and pharrell both use similarly chopped drum samples
really good video. Keep it up!
This quality is insane 🔥
What is the name of the artwork behind you in your room?
Yay new video
Listen to "Never in Your Sun" by Stevie Wonder 1984...its crazy how much of the Neptunes sound was directly taken from other artist
Yo bro whats the beat at the intro?
Love and grew up on both - Pharrell's the goat to me
What's the intro song?
88keys actually made a major part of the diet coke beat
What is the beat at the start??
Love you by jpn
ik bro cpu went crazy
what was the beat playing in the intro?

Wow, amazing video🫡
Ye is my favorite god damn, its god like beats
Can anyone tell me name of the beat used at 1:10 in this video ?
Sure :) Its the Pharrell 4BarTag from Kendick Lamars Alright into the drop from Good kid
@@korbiniannn Thanks Brother ❤️
What was that beat in the beginning
Love you by jpn
Ye is the sample goat, and Pharrell is the melody/cool drums goat.
hess baaack
Pharrell samples too!!!
Kanye Our Modern Day Prophet
sorry but AC Milan wins this battle
Hahhaha how are there 34 Ac Fans
pff and you even ask@@korbiniannn
Just look at their discographies, not even a match there’s practically no discography in mainstream music that comes close to Ye's but Radiohead, Kendrick and a few more
Bro what are you smoking? Pharrell is behind so many hit songs.
@@coldloner7453Pharrell has never made graduation
the beatles
Pharrell is more of a producer than a solo artist.
While ye is the contrary, while he has produced a lot of songs for other artist, all of his best work is on his own projects
The meat glazing is crazy
0:07 pharell
pharrell is technical and tends to stick to rules because he knows music theory. ye doesn't know music theory so he doesn't follow the rules of music which gives ye that distinct sound. ye also knows how to sample wayyyy better than pharrell and how to manipulate it while pharrell knows how to construct complex melodies. pharrell melodies are unique, ye's samples are unique. two very different approaches but i will always love ye because it's just in his mind and workflow to break the rules and do what he thinks sounds the best instead of what the industry thinks sounds the best.
what's the song @ 01:10
Good Kid by Kendrick! haha
@@SamWillBeats ayyy thanks sam!!
@@VERTXProd anytime! Hope you are well bro
Yeah it’s the „tag“ from pharrell on alright and than good kid :)

Kanye is the greatest producer of all time. Truly. There’s no way around it.
I'm just as good, I'm just not popular. And I'm not talking about the beats on my channel, those ones are old
@@jobachlove your confidence but we’re taking about Ye brother, that man been making peak beats for decades. but hey, maybe someday you’ll get there
@@jhache9211 I'll be up soon🔥
I feel like that title is held by Dilla but Kanye is a beast too
Over Dilla & The Alchemist? Hmm
It’s always a German who makes to loops 😂 that’s some conspiracy shit right here
next video should be longer👍
$40 for a drumkit. I aint got that kinds of money
I feel you 40$ isnt cheap. But I made it a premium kit, where the price stings a bit so that only people who are really gona use it buy it.
This is not your best one. We waited for too long. I was expecting to see something huge. 😢😢😢
I think kanye puts more of an emphasis on being the best producer and pharrell just lets it be and doesn’t try
Kanye clears tbh

pharrell is good at pop. when he does rap it usually misses for me

@@FlareiOS Pharrell is Kanye’s mentor
@@DJ-pl4cx not really, Kanye learned to sample and make beats long before Pharrell, I’m not saying he wasn’t an influence but calling him a mentor is a little too much
@@FlareiOS did you see the doc? I didn’t say he was his only mentor, but Pharrell is in his 50s and was making music from the early 90s when Kanye West was a kid
@@DJ-pl4cx I did see the doc and I’m guessing you’re referring to the clip of Kanye showing through the wire and never let me down to Pharrell. I’m simply saying that Pharrell didn’t teach enough to Kanye to be considered his mentor
Both s tier producers alongside Dre and diddy only. It would make one hell of a Vs
Pharrell, Ye, & Dre >>> “Puffy”.
@@IAmNessie In a Vs battle, 20 against 20 records, Puffy has all of Bad Boy records which is Biggie, lil Kim, Mase, 112, The Lox etc.. plus songs on no way out like Benjamin's. He can stack up against the best
@@s-b6218 no disrespect towards you or your opinion but imma say F Puffy ‘till the grave. that boy is a leech, liar, murderer, & groomer. no respect on that marshmallows name.
For me Kanye
Timbaland stands above both of them in terms of producing music for other artists.
Kanye has the better personal discography among the 3.
Pharrell still one of the greats (even without Chad Hugo) but the other 2 edges him out.
😍😍😍😍😍😍
My bro
Diet Coke is a big middle finger to anyone that says "I miss the old kanye"
not to hate on pharrell but his songs on pusha's album sounded more like mixtape tracks
pharrell does the same things kanye does but much worse thats him basically
Man this video makes no sense
Weren’t we supposed to compare Ye’s half to Pharrell’s half ?
Why on earth am I watching 8 minutes of a random guy working on the beats ?
Kanye's music is more sample based...Pharrells music is not
what the song at 1:10 is called, i recognize it but i cant remember the name
good kid (kendrick lamar)
good kid by Kendrick
I mixed the „tag“ from pharrell on alright and than play the drop from good kid
I don't like Pharrell or Kaynes beats I like gritty stuff there stuff doesn't feel like authentic hip-hop to me it's to polished
Bro needs to work on his own production. He got the mic in his mouth and I still can’t hear him…
I ll include sign language next time.
why do you kinda look like pewdiepie

Pharrell can't sample like Ye. Ye is like Dilla level when It comes to chopping

88 Keys made the beat for Diet Coke. Kanye hasn't been the sole producer of anything in a long time.
Kanye produced the whole Daytona album
didnt watch the video, just came to say this is a r3tarded concept. next make a video about how beyonce and GG allin sound different.
