There's one important thing that we point out to folks before they sign up, which is that Tip Transparency is likely a violation of DoorDash's Terms of Service. Though we believe our technology cannot be traced by DoorDash, and that our lawyers indicate that DoorDash is likely only to pursue legal action against Para, it's something we share with everyone so that drivers can make an informed decision about using our service.
Lastly, the sign-up process for Tip Transparency involves sharing a Dasher's login credentials with Para to allow our service to operate. We know that the delivery community has been the target of some bad actors in the past, and we completely understand some people's concerns over this point. We always say that we don't want anyone doing something that they don't feel 100% comfortable with, and we'll always be here for deliverers if or when they feel comfortable trying out Tip Transparency.

Yes it is a shame however if enough drivers do this then maybe doordash will just provide the info themselves.

I’m not sure how Doordash is still getting around classifying drivers as independent contractors if they’re not showing the reimbursement. Total scam
My guess would be that you are contracted to accept the offer given. The main reason I put this video together was because I believe doordash should be giving all the info to me before I chose to do the job.

How long have u used this yourself? Few of us drivers that been around awhile talking about this as we speak..def peaks our interest expect the risk of deactivation and giving info. That info is not visible to the para app correct? Our bank info is on there as u know
I actually asked the same question around the bank info being visible and the system they use is encrypted and they do not have access to any of your personal information nor do they actually see your passwords. It is very similar to signing into your bank account on an app or putting your info into the doordash app it is all protected through encryption.

@@PhoebeNMontgomery I signed up about a week ago to try and and learn about it so I could make a video on it. Basically you receive a text message before you accept the order that tells you how much the tip will be. This will let you decide whether you want to accept the order or not. It let's you work smarter not harder
The only problem is this app Has been getting people deactivated because in violates a couple of serious line items on the DoorDash agreement that you signed most importantly is the one where you have to give your credentials to a third-party

Funny things is, I used the app for 3 days. My market only produced 2 out 57 orders where the full payout was hidden and the app helped. The rest were declined because I would have declined them anyway; accepted because I would have accepted them anyway. So the tip transparency is really a good thing for drivers. I made better decisions by 2 orders but there will be times when it will be 30 orders that this app will help me to make informed discussions like any business needs to make

no, the two orders were $3 for 12 miles and $4 for 9. My guess is, these orders were declined by others drivers who were closer, and I was the only available choice left, regardless of how far away I was at the time.
The next two days, the same results. Only this time there were two orders I would not have taken, but the Tip Transparency help to change my mind. One order was 5 miles for $4 yet turned out to be $12. I took it when I was about to decline. lol. The other was $7.50 for 5 miles, which turned out to be $11, so I took it too when I was about to decline. Lol. So, Now I think I'm loving this app!!!

Welp, they just took away my full payout version after 9 months of evading them. Para peaked my interest but i’m a little uneasy about them asking for my information. How can we know if this app is secure and not able to see our personal information like bank, password, etc
So yes I agree however it is all encrypted and just like when you sign into the doordash app your info is secured with encryption. Ia not at all worried about Para and my info not one bit.

They are getting a ton of people signing up however it shouldn't be long.
I just use E.S.P. after teleporting into a DD wormhole and when I respawn I can generally see the full amount. Note: doesn't always work.

Signed up to test it out. It just shows the tip. But the TT total amount is still the same total amount that DD gives. Still nice to see how much the customer tipped.

Why don't delivery and rideshare company's encourage customers to tip better for big orders and long drives? They could set create an algorithm that identifies a trip and automatically set a minimum tip of say $5.00 for a 10-mile run but include a comment that says something like "To increase the chance of your order being accepted we suggest setting a higher tip amount." This might cause some customers to quit using the platform, but in the long run I think it would be better for DoorDash and drivers both, because it will weed out low tipping users from the platform, providing better money for drivers, which in turn will help DoorDash with driver retention, which in the longer term helps DoorDash succeed.
I understand that DoorDash wishes to get more orders to increase their profits by allowing customers tip lousy, but if they keep heading the direction they are going soon they will soon be losing drivers like crazy and will be going out of business because no one will drive for them.
The reason the companies don't encourage tipping is because they want to get as many orders as possible and unfortunately drivers still accept these junk orders. It needs to stop for sure
DD is garbage. $2&$3 base pay with no supplement. Non tippers are a fact of life. UE supplements them and/or stacks them with high tip orders. I had a 0 tip $10 order on UE the other day, that's how you get fast service and pay a driver what they're worth. UE seems to be picking up in my area , hopefully they take the market share from doortrash
@@randalgibbons8822 I have traveled all around the country the last 6 months and the biggest thing I noticed is that each market is different in terms of which platform is used. I usually run both UE and Doordash and cherry pick the orders. With Para you can make an educated decision as to what orders you want to take.
@@Drivetowin13 I understand completely. I shouldn't have to violate TOS to see full pay offer. DD whole business model is pure self serving horse💩. I'm downloading para today and am also encouraging customers at every opportunity to ditch DD and switch to UE. I really want UE to take the market share, they have been 100% better platform for me. DD was alright when I first started but they just continue scraping bottom to new lows.

If this is a free service, how do they actually get paid or make any money? And how do they get this information from DoorDash?

Can customers lower the tip post delivery like on other apps?
I have done 1000 doordash deliveries and have never had it happen. I honestly am not sure if people have the ability to do that.

The only way a customer can change their tip after a delivery is by contacting DD support. I am a dasher, and I also order as a customer. I have had some exceptional delivery drivers handle my deliveries before when ordering as a customer. For the exceptional service, I've contacted DD support to increase their tip. So, knowing that it can be increased that way, I assume it could also be reduced that way. However, in the years I've been delivering with DD, I've never had a tip reduced or removed.

Wish they would do it with Instacart as well.
So instacart actually already does this the only difference is instacart customer can add a tip or remove a tip post delivery. So when you accept an order on instacart that is the amount you should expect to be paid unless you go above and beyond and that customer wants to go back in and add an additional tip or they are upset and go in and remove the tip they already included. Does that make sense?
Folks, Kick back!! Doordash drivers are independent contractors!! They have the right to know exactly who their customers are and how their customers pay!! It is illegal for doordash to hide information!!! Period!! Lot of stupid people here!!!
I have not been able to see full payout for a very very long time. And I seem to do just fine. I’m sorry but I don’t need to sign up for any service or anything..
This service is definitely for people who want to see the full tip so they can determine whether it is worth thier time.
Someone says they didn't get their food. You can be deactivated. Everyday could be your last. If everyone signed up they wouldn't fire everyone. David should have a sign up fee.I haven't signed up yet but I want to.

Use at your own risk. Para developers are clear their service is against DoorDash's terms of service.
Yes using a 3rd party app is technically against terms of service however this is information that Doordash should not be keeping from us.
DoorDash just might allow this and not deactivate accounts. They just might change the pay model to include customer Driver choice based on ratings. This would allow customers to pick their delivery driver in the app, which would then send the offer to the driver to be accepted or declined. Drivers with low ratings will not even get many offers, so tip transparency will mean zero. Best be careful here. With every change we forced, it has only turned out worse for us all. 15% merchant caps created less business by limiting the merchant's reach. AB-5 created Prob-22. Prob-22 is creating Federally Forced Employees. Once that is in, then deactivations and Acceptance Rates will carry a punishment if low. The more we push instead of learning to work the system, the worse it will turn out in the end.
Yes I agree with most everything you said. Doordash used to be transparent and give us the full tip amounts prior to accepting the delivery however the issue was drivers were only taking the deliveries that were worth taking and all the junk orders were not being taken. I for one believe doordash should be completely transparent and let us make the decision whether to accept or decline based on the full info not part.

I almost downloaded para. But for the lousy fact of two weeks of rotten undisclosed runs I change my mind when I found out that it was a 200.00 addition to my budget. I just can no longer trust doordash. Wow! I actually said it.

Like I said I almost downloaded the app, but I felt like I was jumping the gun. So when I was reading the 10 mile long terms and services, I usually see if it's free or not. So I found a telephone number, called and asked how much money that it would cost. It was said 200.00 a month

It is a free service Para is providing. David (the CEO) said in the video that he just wants drivers to be treated fair.
I'm just really nervous about the deactivation part. Like if I had my other business going I wouldn't mind taking that risk but I just don't have my other business going right now so I'm just not 100% ready to take a risk. I wish doordash would just show us the full payout
I agree with you and honestly I wish they would too. Remember doordash has a shortage of drivers right now and if they want to deactivate you for any reason they can. Thier terms of service are so vague that if you don't used thier red bag on delivery you could be deactivated. Plus if they deactivate you just go to one of the competitors. I currently do them all.
I would highly recommend signing up for every side gig available in your area. Even if you don't use all of them all the time. It is a great way to diversify and have multiple streams of income. I'm currently signed up with Instacart, Doordash, Uber, Lyft, Grubhub, Postmates, and GoPuff. I have my own personal shopping business, and I'm a Realtor. So no matter what happens with an individual gig, I have a ton of options to fall back on. That takes a lot of the stress away from being deactivated unexpectedly (from any one gig) or having a reduced income from a bad rating (IC). If one is slow, you can use another that may be busy. Or on super slow days, you can run upwards of 4-5 apps simultaneously to multi-app.

The terms of service are written in a way to be able to deactivate you whenever they want to. If enough people sign up for this service it will force doordash to just be transparent with us upfront

Just curious where you got this info? I have not heard from a single person who has been punished in any way. As they said in the video it does technically violate terms of service.

Their response was "We are aware of the para app, it is against our guidelines, we have sent warnings and begun deactivations and request that you not link the para, or any 3rd party app to your doordash account"

I would be curious to know if they are actually doing anything because like I said I have not heard of a single person getting in trouble and if they were to go after someone it would be Para themselves. If you get deactivated just switch to a different service and use them. That's actually why I don't think doordash will do anything because drivers will just go work for the competition

@@Drivetowin13 Sir.... let's be real. "Mess with drivers". Hiding info to fool us into taking offers that not make no sense but can cause a waste of time and your own money. DD wants every order picked up because they make money whether the customer, restaurant or driver benefits. There are 4 entities that need a positive outcome from EVERY offer. 1 The customer. 2 the Restaurant 3 The platform(eg Doordash. 4 The driver. So where is the weakest link here. Yes the driver. We not only have Doordash hiding info, customers who do not tip and restaurants that steal tips when ordered from there own app . I understand that the Para trick is cooll but we've already seen a new offer screen which shows what they are up to, whether this was a test or accident. So yes DD will expedite the new less info model and the texts from Para will go away within 2 weeks. Ask me again in 2 weeks.

If you actually read the rules of the guy who came up with this on his Facebook page he says “first rule of tip transparency is to tell everyone about it”
Para wants this out there. If you watched the video you would see that I interviewed David (from Para) and he actually wanted this video made.
So is he responsible for deactivation??? Tons of people in tips transparency afraid of deactivations.... He said he wants... so who is facing consequences? Did you read other posts in tip transparency community to see what our interest... keep it on down low... please take it off.
