Great concept, i would like to see Black with the dark scarlet pearl. Also a close up view of the panel when you have finished to get a good look, thank you.
Very impressive detail, explanation and execution as always my man. Pearls are hard for sure. My first pearl job I attempted was my girls jeep and I won't lie, I painted the hood 4 times before I got it right. But as I said, your videos helped me get to where I wanted the finished product to come out. And I did it all with Rust-Oleum bases two toned with long sharp edge lines. Keep killing it brother. Awesome job on the channel. Happy holidays
Thank you so much, brother. This concept is exactly what I needed for reference. Kudos to your explanation and the community. Appreciate you. You’re the man.!! Blessings
Great concept! Just picked up a 87 4runner. I want it to look good but don't want to drop big money on a paint job as its going to be used as a trail rig for my family. A Rustoleum paint with a clear coat would fit the build just right. Thanks for the info and look forward to the next one!
Just started watching your Channel . Thanks for what your do lots of information . Question I have truck gloss black and I would like to spray some pearl on it but want to keep black in color what would be steps and what to use ?
That all depends on what color pearl you wanna use everything by default works well over black. I suggest you pick a pearl do a small spray out test with a pinch of it in some clear and get used to how much it takes for coverage so you can get the desired effect but remember less is always more with pearls because you can always do more coats. I have many other videos with pearls over black if you wanna get more of an idea what you like and if you have any other question feel free to reach out anytime and thanks for watching!
Good eye lol yeah it's my OG fender I got two more so three total The other ones are 99 through 2000 EK Civic fenders I'm a fellow Honda guy appreciate you for watching man!
Yeah it was my first video in the series but be sure to tune in Wednesday night I'm revisiting it with a very similar combination and you will see a much better look out in the sun thanks for watching
Yes I've also mixed black into smoke gray to get the same effect works great this video below was the results ua-cam.com/video/We_g6K_ZrTo/v-deo.htmlsi=7D3CCMyK6ISM8mqL
This looks quite a bit like the 1966 Slate Grey that is on my 66 Corvair from the factory. I think that the black pearl is a great addition to this color. After i get the Corvair completely I will repaint with the Slate Grey and add the Black Graphite pearl that you had on another video. It looks like it would make a great team for the Corvair. I give this a 6 (six) out of five on your chart.
Sounds cool we did something like that on my buddies Acura TL Green Pearl paint job a few videos ago if you wanna look back at it and see what you think
I'm about an hour south of you ! I want to paint my old 93 pickup truck so I've been watching and learning. I'd really like to see what the silver pearl in white paint would look like ! The original paint job was just plain white so I'd like to just make it look a little nicer than original. What ever you go with I'm sure will look great ! Thank you for sharing your knowledge !
Thanks for watching silver Pearl in the actual paint would give the white a nice twinkle if you shoot it in the clear coat it really gives it a nice white metallic look as long as you don't go too heavy on the coats but stay tuned much more to come with this series
I recommend a 1.3 tip for base coat and clear coat even with adding pearls but if you want to spray a thicker primer or a heavy metal flake then you would want to use a 1.7 tip thanks for watching
ua-cam.com/video/Il7Rfhn_-V4/v-deo.htmlsi=V-SpBSbxiiKLGRv8 in this video I did a red pearl over black and a red to green shift pearl over black as well if you wanna check it out thanks for watching
I freaking love this I would like to see rustoleum sail blue with like a sapphire blue metal flake I’m curious to see how that would look instead of your common silver metal flake 😊
I've used that combination before it will def give you a nice silver without having to go the route of rustoleum silver thru a gun which I've had issues with if that's what your looking for thanks for watching
I had wondered after I started watching your videos about Rustoleum metallic silver or I think they call it aluminum if a black pearl or like that graphite you have would make it more of a dark silver so it didn't look so "Aluminum". I was thinking just mixing the pearl into the silver and using the quart rather than the spray cans but I think it is the same thing. I like hthis color, so I guess it would be FIRE.
Yea I feel the same about the rustoleum metallic aluminum it looks crappy but if you do this or shoot any metallic pearl over a black base you will get that nice smooth metallic finish
This is a rather nice-looking color and pearl combination. I would find this rather interesting for a car that wants to be relatively inconspicuous driving down the road yet stil show a little pizzass.
Next time get a light and pass us by real close. Thanks for the hard work. I’d like to see that black pearl over black paint.
Great concept, i would like to see Black with the dark scarlet pearl. Also a close up view of the panel when you have finished to get a good look, thank you.

Almost came out like stainless steel. Yellow/gold with pink pearl would be fun

I like the smoke gray. Want to see with yellow gold pearl
Do you think less black pearl in the mix would equate to a lighter silver?

I just got in painting cars what size tip for clear with pearls
I recommend a 1.3 tip for base coat and clear coat even with adding pearls but if you want to spray a thicker primer or a heavy metal flake then you would want to use a 1.7 tip thanks for watching

I would like to see gold with a purple pearl
How many grams of pigment do you use
To do a whole car medium size is typically 50 g of pigment per gallon of clear
Thanks man

black gold purple over white base wit cooper be cool color
🔥 I like the outcome
I wonder how a silver pearl would look over this smoke gray
I'm all honestly it would give about the same effect maybe slightly lighter thanks for watching
