It's a culture, an ideology and an economic and political system. The westerners who give them some excuses for who they are and what they do, are blind by their own culture, ideology, economic and political system.
It is INSANE to hear constantly from the talking heads that Israel needs to allow the Palestinians the right to self determination. THEY DID. THEY HAVE many times and the most recent example is the Palestinians choosing Hamas over the PA in Gaza. But Hamas had no interest in turning Gaza into building institutions necessary to create prosperity - or at least a place to eke out a living - instead they built a tunnel system to hide like rats in after cowardly striking Israel, murdering, butchering, raping, terrorizing. The Palestinians did not complain and protest Hamas' governing, the lack of SELF DETERMINATION via democracy (Democracy and Hamas are oxymorons). The right to self determination in this region means the right for Iran and or other Islamic extremists to take power and impose Islamic theocracy while pursuing their mission of destroying Israel. As Douglas rightly says, the vast majority of Palestinians support Hamas and want Israel destroyed. It doesnt matter that it's a pipe dream and that they should focus on creating their own society instead of trying to destroy one. But this is what Islam is all about and the clueless West repeats Islam is a religion of peace as if they've been hypnotized. The MSM portrays the situation with the Palestinians as innocents who want what we all want - peace prosperity and self determination. They don't. They want everyone in the world to SUMBIT TO ISLAM.
Piers' argument is so frustrating. As Einat Wilf always asks, "Where are these Palestinian people who disagree with Hamas?" Take a look at the Iranian people. They march and protest against the regime knowing they will be arrested and most likely lynched on cranes for doing so. Iranian expats constantly march and protest and speak out against the regime. Where are the expat Palestinians? Where is the prominent Palestinian voices who are asking for true peace where they accept a sovereign Jewish state next to a Palestinian one? You don't have them. Sure, a literal handful of people. I follow them and support them but we're talking about maybe just under 10 or so people (and not surprisingly they are often harassed by the Free Palestine mob). The most powerful person of Palestinian descent is probably US congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and she parrots the usual From the River to the Sea and Globalize the Intifada. Same with Queen Raina of Jordan. A handful of people in Gaza have spoken out against Hamas but it's usually just about their bullying tactics. They don't object to their views on Israel. And only when they reject those views will they have the possibility of better lives. Because before Hamas there were other groups. The names change but their beliefs about Israel and Jews are constant. ETA - there was a successful clothing store in Gaza called Hitler 3. It was just one of a chain of stores (1 of which was, I believe, in the West Bank area A and another in Jordan where many Palestinians still live).
Every single Palestinian activist is defending hamas and they have always done so. Asked about the Oct 7th massacre, they deny it even happened or say it wasn't hamas but *probably* the IDF or it was all staged or whatever. Besides, you never heard anything about protests coming out of Gaza (or the WB), the Iranians have protested against the regime, during the so-called Arab spring, there were protests throughout the Arab world. But not a peep from Gaza. Or, as my go-to Palestinian activist Rafeef Ziadah said, "Our spring in Palestine was born in a prison cell", meaning that they view Israel as the thing to get rid of. And of course, she never said a word against hamas either. So yeah, the Palestinians view Israel and zionism as their biggest enimy, hence nothing in the way of rebellion ever comes out of Gaza or the WB. Not to mention that supposedly innocent gazan civilians took part in the Oct 7th rampage, civilians were holding Israeli hostages etc., they are complicit.
I think piers did a disservice to his audience ! He stated only 44% voted for hamas. Bleeding hearts are going to mis represent this fact by assuming 56% (thr remainder) voted for peace! Should have given the audience the full disclosure what was the other options and what were their results ! I feel it reasonable that 56% didn't vote hamas doesn't mean they voted for peace or against oct 7 !
Piers Morgan, then show us Arabs from Gaza or Judea Samaria who disagree with terrorism, with killing Jews and Israelis, who recognise Israel's right to her own land (apart from a few and far between individuals like Mossab Youssef, the "Son of Hamas", or Or Shalom)! Just see how many Iranians protest against their tyrants. And even in Lebanon, some people oppose Hezbollah.
There's one polling I saw where they asked Gazans what they thought about October 7. "Did Hamas did it? "Did they committed atrocities?" The polling results where then being used as evidence that all Gazans support Hamas. But if they actually take a moment to read the questions, you notice something rather odd about them and it's they didn't know, they are ignorant of the participation, they asked about the videos and say they haven't seen any or think are fake. So if you then ask them if they think Hamas should stay in power, if you are ignorant of what that have done, and with a little brain washing, they don't see anything wrong so "yes they should remain in power". Show me the polls you are mentioning here, read them yourself, before using them to say "all support Hamas" because the polls do show people who don't. This collective punishment is wrong. There's people in the west who don't support Israel and they weren't born in that hell hole were they are indoctrinated, willfully or blissfully ignorant of reality plus suffering the outcome of war and with a finger point to where they are being bomb from * because they are used as human shields by these immoral monsters.
Boils down to the moral character of the people, or lack there of. Christian America risked their lives and families to overthrow a brutal tyrannical regime 100 times more powerful than Hamas
Exactly what I thought... How is that Israel's fault? If they know Hamas is responsible, they could have maybe turned to the world, asking for help, if they truly wanted to solve their situation.
The rest of the palestinians probably voted for islamic jihad over hamas, because islamic jihad was thought to be the more radical Jew hating group. That would explain why after october 7th support for hamas in Gaza, Judea, Samaria, and probably the rest of Israel, skyrocketed to the 70 or 80% range. In G-d I trust. Assuming it is true that only 44% of Gazans voted for hamas. Remember, 'Israeli muslims' have voted consistently for hate speech spewing, terrorism supporting political candidates for 75 years of Israeli elections.
Mosab Hassam, the son of of Hamas, says that Gaza Palestinians are killed very often by Hamas, if they are accused of standing by Israel. Mosab was imprisoned and tortured as a child just for asking questions . It must be very difficult to protest against the Government in Gaza. Douglas forgets Democracy does not exist over there.

And here we have the Oslo Accords 1993-95.Which has been broken time after time by the arabs (Abbas) there. I always support Israel!
I live in Mexico and I am not 100% educated on this conflict, which I understand goes back for several decades. Mexico and Israel hold excellent Diplomatic relations. In fact, Israel was amongst the countries who sent a Brigade to rescue civilians after Mexico City's earthquake in 2017. As an attempt to educate myself, I would appreciate if IDF or an informed party, could fill me in on the following questions: 1) On pro-Palestinian posts, I have read the term "Occupation" and "Settlers" a lot. Is there such a thing as "Occupation"? Is there in present day, any occupation from Israel on Palestinian territory? Are there any Israeli Settlers building homes and neighborhoods on Palestinian soil? If so, how would THAT, not fuel the RESENTMENT on Palestinians? How could imposing my Settlements on my neighbor's territory, help reach a peaceful relationship with such neighbor?
The whole "all Palestinians" thing is such a midwit take. It's not hard to understand that you have Hamas, the civilians who support Hamas, and the ones that don't. And it's further not hard to understand if 9/10 Palestinians support Hamas then you have a collective problem. The existence of the 1/10 Hamas opponent doesn't negate the obvious problem. The tragedy of life is that good people will suffer when the society around them is bad.
His point is simple: Hamas is a Palestinian group. They didn’t come from outer space, or somewhere else. Israel is responsible for its leadership, Palestinians are responsible for theirs.
Can you blame them for supporting Hamas? Nobody else supports them against Israel’s tyranny and illegal occupation. They want to be free and nobody else stands with them or helps them. Hamas are terrorists, but then Britain called George Washington a terrorist during the revolutionary war. So it depends on your point of view ….

Not saying every single Palestinian supports their government, but why is it such thought crime or a stretch to believe that a majority of them support hamas?
The framing of the question is false. We don't love Hamas, but they are the only thing that does something. I disagree with them but THE PA on the other hand will just sit and watch you get ethnically cleansed.
Majority of people did vote for Hamas
That’s how they got elected

I here you.
There has been a Palestine ever since the Romans renamed Judaea, calling it Syria Palaestina. But Palestine has always been a geographical location, never the identity of a single ethnic group. Over the centuries, *_anybody_* -- of any ethnic group whatsoever -- who dwelt in Palestine was a Palestinian. Coopting the term "Palestinian" as the identity of only the Arabs of Palestine was a propaganda ploy by the PLO in the mid-sixties. The uninformed general public tend to believe that the only people who *_belong_* in Palestine are "Palestinians."

Sorry maybe you meant being pushed or forced.
@@kevingallen1678 if you ask them why they are protesting it's because of the Internet. Idiots on FACEBOOK who can't tell fact from fiction. Spreading lies. Gaza was a beautiful land given to the Palestinians (Arabs, Egyptians and Jordanians) and they turned it into a shit hole). Children in Gaza don't have fun, don't play, they are brainwashed about killing Jews.
While not all Germans were directly involved in the atrocities committed by the Nazi regime during World War II, they collectively bore a degree of responsibility for electing the Nazi party and enabling its rise to power. Similarly, while not all Arabs in the Israeli territories are directly responsible for the actions of terrorist organizations, they share a collective responsibility for supporting or tolerating such groups, which can contribute to their continued existence and influence.
Thanks Ollie. When the full video came out I cut out when Peirs started asking stupid questions. You distilled out the important stuff so I won't have to go back & watch the whole thing.
I agree 100% with Douglas Murray.
The evidence so far suggests that most Palestinians still support Hamas. The more disturbing part is that among those who do not live in Gaza or the Westbank, many support Hamas rather than the PA. (in other words, they are more likely to support the more radical terrorist group aka Hamas)
This is soo stupid. I could say the same with Israelis supporting Netanyahu and his far right racist government in general.
Again, us Palestinians don't support Hamas BUT they are the only thing that actually does something. The PA is a puppet state that watches over ethnically cleansed Palestinians.
Why are they more likely though? Because israel have stole their land and murdered their children for decades so of course they’re going to support the group which takes a more radical stance on getting rid of the state that oppresses them
It has been done for many many years. Create an evel enemy from outside, so that people don't look inside and see the horror lurking.

Does Piers Morgan know Q.ran?
A minority of the 'British' voted for Starmer: but we are all culpable for him being in place!
I prefer the term “Jew hatred” to “antisemism”. Call it what it is.
The plain truth even though UN never like it. Palestinian tolerate hamas
How come they cheered when the hostages were paraded in Gaza? They also participated in hitting the hostages?

No but Nazis had tremendous support
Exactly what I thought... How is that Israel's fault? If they know Hamas is responsible, they could have maybe turned to the world, asking for help, if they truly wanted to solve their situation.
It's True,
The rest of the palestinians probably voted for islamic jihad over hamas, because islamic jihad was thought to be the more radical Jew hating group.

Thank you J-TV. You are so right about everything you say, also about Piers. He still goes on about a 2-state solution,- ignoring all the possibilities the Gaza and Samaria/Judea arabs have had since 1947/8. It is not the vestbank, it is Samaria and Judea.
As an attempt to educate myself, I would appreciate if IDF or an informed party, could fill me in on the following questions:
1) On pro-Palestinian posts, I have read the term "Occupation" and "Settlers" a lot.
Go Israel
They were dancing in the streets after the attack, and now there are few streets left.
It is exactly that type of thinking that perpetuates this conflict...
Oh ok, so the people of Gaza should be happy about living in the world’s largest open air prison. Got it.
