Thats nothing more than a way to pre-fill the siphon vs creating a vacuum to fill it to start the flow. But as previously mentioned, nothing will happen if the source water is lower than the water's destination, pre-filled or not
Correct but if the level of the source of water is higher than the outlet it doesn't work ...but it's ok because no need to have a water pump deliver the water to the rice paddies good job

@@Dingsrud Syphone works, of course, because with Syphone final destination is lower than source level . He claims here it pumps water up although final destination is much higher than source . Bullsht. I tried the experiment , as soon as u lift the exit hose to water level of source, water stops flowing.

this is simple siphoning. you are lucky to have a river whose elevation is higher than the field. only thing your pipe crossed the road. you have to dismantle the installation everytime a vehicle comes second in priming and releasing the water you have to run back and forth. that is too taxing however, you proved it can be done. yes it can be done. the conditions are right. to avoid running back and forth you can install some foot valve in your inlet pipe.

This system' can work if the position of outlet Pipe lower level than inlet pipe level..
You are right in one thing. The gravity of such system is divided into two main parts. Lets say if it flows from left to right across a high road, the right side pipe must be longer and bigger to load more water (than the left pipe) so that it can flow with higher gravity. Then, such a system will definitely works

1/ Why 2 interlinked pipe ? Does it help ? Prevent clogging ?
2/ Does the height of the vertical pipe matter ? Regulate Pressure ? Or just convenience to fill ?
2/ just to fill pipes
The link adds support for the vertical pipes to keep them from falling over. The vertical pipes can be shorter but any length will work. The output pipe must be lower than the input pipe but there is a limit on how high the siphon can pull the water up. That limits the highest point of the siphon.
