There is no equivalent to Barkley in today's game...none. If you weren't following the NBA then, the highlights now don't do it justice. It was a unreal combination of strength, power, tenacity, and speed. One of my all time faves.
In Barkley's case, size did matter. He was the ROUND MOUND of rebound. He was a big man, despite not being as tall as his opponents. Height did not matter, but size certainly did.

I'd love for him to recover as needed and maybe provide new found pop late in the season (hopefully for a playoff run) Cooper being drafted so early makes him a CORNER for now...... Definitely a S as his career progresses. That would still be a needed position! Possibly a matchup S able to cover slots & TE's maybe even a ball hawk w his athleticism!!! This DT position is worrisome, it's been a couple seasons now and we still haven't got it right on this defensive line. I don't see SUH or Linvail Joseph walking back in this lockeroom. (I WISH we brought back Joseph last season) Are we ever gonna get a backup Nose tackle??

Back in the early 80’s, I saw Mr Barkley @ Philadelphia International Airport and he was chatting up a beautiful flight attendant and he was a very large human being. I was surprised how massive he was in real life. True story.
