    Great tutorial. I didn't have any issues, but was pointed to this as a definitive guide on setting up the SxR RX's. I think too many people skip over critical steps thinking too far ahead an not paying attention, but you've pointed it all out, step by boring step, as should be. Thank you.

    You for these two tutorials on the S8R should receive some prize from Frsky.
    He explains it in a simple and perfectly understandable way for everyone.
    It would have to be on the official page of Frsky in the information of this receiver.
    Ty.

    I'd been searching for days, gathering all sorts of bits and pieces of info about these darned S6Rs, and your video was hands down the best of the bunch. Very nicely done; you hit on all the details I needed, and answered questions I didn't even know I had. Much appreciated!

    Great video, thanks! For the firmware: FCC is the international version, LBT is for Europe ('Listen Before Talk). But in Europe you can have the international version too, unless your radio is restricted to Europe, like new QX7's seem to be.

    PAY ATTENTION FRSKY!!! This is exactly how all frskys instructions should be!!! Thank you for taking the time to post this very detailed instructional without going over the line into boring!! I just subbed and hope to see more from you in the future, thanks again

    Perfect!
    I fly drones, but as of this year I've been buying and building BNF planes and Flite Test "foamies."
    I'd read everywhere that these were a bugger to get set-up! So, I've continued building and buying planes in FEAR of having to set these up... These videos have taken away some of that fear and I just placed an order for 2 of the S8's and i will follow closely and try and install...
    I'll let you know how it goes, but thank you for your hard work and help in getting these installed!
    Best and SUBBED!!!

    How about a video using the STK to config the S8R?

    • @shondorc3703
      @shondorc3703  4 роки тому +1

      Darth Flyer I’ll think about that. I’m just getting back into posting more videos on this channel. I may consider that. I used the SD card radio option due to it being the easiest way for folks to do it without having to purchase additional items.

    NOOOO! When you hit the "calibrate" button, you must wait until the yellow light stops flashing before you move it to the next position! The (paper)instructions tell you this. Other than that, great video.

    have yet to buy a frsky rx that hasn't come with the cable , no need to make it , have maybe 10 or more of them laying around.

    • @shondorc3703
      @shondorc3703  5 років тому

      michael honeychuck actually the receivers do not come with the needed cable. You need to use, if possible, two notched female servo connectors to guarantee trouble free and accurate connection. The cables that come with the rx’s will not suffice as is.

      @@shondorc3703 odd my last 6 rx have the proper cable, exactly what your talking about there about 5 " long , rsxr,, rx8r. gsx8r, xm+ x8r all came with spade style servo cable. maybe newer batches dont know. but i have plenty

      @@shondorc3703 in fact just know opening my amazon with another rx8r and xm+ both have them. since qx7 seems to be one in with every tx i've bought. rsxr comes with plug4 pin jst on one end no other pins.. not sure whats up there

    • @shondorc3703
      @shondorc3703  5 років тому

      michael honeychuck Awesome! Maybe they are giving these out now. The several I purchased did not have a programming cable that I showed in the video. They all came with a useless type of cable but not the one I showed. However newer productions or maybe older productions had them but certainly not the 30 or so FrSky receivers that I have purchased. It would be great to know that they are including them now.

    Ivwas re watching this and noticed you mentioned ground down just so you know i have 2 6sr recievers and they are ground up just like my x8r recievers

    • @shondorc3703
      @shondorc3703  5 років тому

      the craft king #1 That is a mystery as every one that I own my ground is down. My positive is middle and signal is the top terminal. Make sure before you connect. Some older FrSky D series rxs do have a top ground but I have not found late models to be such.

    • @thecraftking113
      @thecraftking113 5 років тому

      @@shondorc3703 ok i triple check x8r on bottom but s6r is Deffintly on top thats interesting i wonder why a difference i took one apart and the design Deffintly would accommodate either position. Possibly different production sites ? I wonder if any other frsky 6 channel recievers are that way .

    • @shondorc3703
      @shondorc3703  5 років тому +1

      Very strange. I would obtain a manual for your rx to confirm. It is possible that it’s either a different production or stickered incorrectly.
