    The Taranis is a great radio I think I just got a bad one with poor range I returned it when I probably should of had them send me a replacement . That was when they first came on the market . Now they have many really cool features for the price . Great video Andrew .

    Thanks for this and all your other videos Andrew. I have been trying to get FLVS-01 to work with my D8R- II Plus telemetry r/x for a while (I have 4 of them). The video link that you gave to Anton Neeshpapa may be just what I needed. I have used them with a 9XR Pro without telemetry. I have ordered a Taranis Q X7, hence my watching your videos of same. I have previously set up telemetry on a Fly Sky FSi6 which I found relatively simple to do and I have it showing t/x, r/x internal and flight pack voltages + altimeter and vario for my gliders. Again a lot of this was with help via your videos. When my Taranis arrives I hope to put Ersky9x onto it as that is what I am used to using. A video of this conversion would be great. Keep up the good work. Your videos are always interesting and easy to understand. Thanks again.

One thing I can't do is the arm, dis-arm, the electric motor, onto a switch, so that one setting covers all present and future added models. Thank you so much Andrew. Keith.

    Very good video Andrew as ever! Wish I had seen this the forst time I set up telemetry! - you showed me a few extra features there I was not aware of and now added - thanks! One question though is I see you have SWR as a sensor input (on the view of your 9XD Display) - how did you get that as all I have read so far says the latest version of Open Tx (2.2.0 I think) did away with SWR and all you have now is RSSI unless you look in Analogs for RAS (not something you can see easily) so I'd be most interested to know how you get it please?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  6 років тому +1

    If the current sensor can display the pack voltage, what is the point of the Lipo voltage sensor?

    • @AndrewNewton
      @AndrewNewton  6 років тому +1

      LiPO sensor reads each cell and it very small and light, better for gliders and just keeping an eye on pack voltage. The current sensor is limited to 40A, inline with the battery and much bulkier and more expensive.

    Good stuff as always Andrew. Thank you. Im just catching up with this stuff having recently picked up a Q X7 after my trusty 9XR Pro gave up the ghost.
    I've got a bit of a challenge for you...maybe...running OpenTX 2.2.2....do you think that once you've got a switch set to call up altitude ...you could instead use a Knob to call altitude AND create some sort of Logical Switch or Special Function to use a Knob to vary the time between calls.....so at the start of the Knob say it called the altitude every 20 seconds further round on the Knob would decrease the time between altitude calls...say 3-4 positions decreasing the time between calls by seconds in each position. Then you could have the vario running on a switch and have the altitude calls being called over the vario. Sometimes an update every 30 seconds is fine to know what the sink is actually like but then when you hit a nice thermal and the vario is screaming be nice to get the altitude calls every 3-5 seconds and really know whats going on up there.
    Anyhoo thx for you continued awesome vids.

    • @AndrewNewton

So now I got the telemetry FrSky FLVSS sensor as you are showing on the video, and a D8R-II plus FrSky receiver. I was sure everything will work as the receiver has "Telemetry" signature on it, but now I just realized that these two pieces of iron won't work together.
