I dont blame women who only watch his comedy because they find him attractive, because he's openly encouraging and trying to capitalise off that, but then he backtracks by claiming his comedy is for men because he knows that other fellow comics wont take him seriously if they think his audience only watch him because they find him attractive.

      This is what boggles my mind - what even is "cancelled" anyway? It's been altered in common usage to mean "some people didn't like a thing I did and expressed their opinions about it!" Honestly, Matt's "move to the right" honestly seems kind of staged - instantly being on Jordan Peterson's show for example, the switch in tone of his jokes, so manufactured and grifty. I've actually noticed this as a bit of a trend in the political sphere - the other main examples are Russell Brand and journalist (and now Elon Musk simp) Matt Taibbi. In all cases they were left of the spectrum politically or targeting a potentially lefty audience, then there are accusations of impropriety that have been floating around for a while, with potentially career-ending results, switching themselves over to a more right-wing "free speech absolutist" audience that INSTANTLY take the bait and eat it all up!

Just look at how popular 'deplatforming' and equating 'violent actions' with 'violent speech' is in places of supposedly higher learning. • @EyesDontCry
      @EyesDontCry 9 місяців тому +3

      What you said literally applies to that joke, the audience being disgusted at matt rife for saying something bad.
      You just said a whole lot of nothing, i agree it wasn't that funny but your reasoning made absolutely no sense and used comedy TV shows about fictional characters in relation to a comedy special by a comedian, none of what you brought up really comes together here, those are 2 entirely different contexts for jokes to play out, you can't just put the cast of always sunny on a stage as their characters as if it were stand up and expect the same result, the medium is very important as it informs the delivery and structure of a joke.
      Offensive humour works just aswell for stand up, you just have to do it a certain way, matt rife had the right structure and right premise, its just that the punchline is a little weak and could use more set up, the joke itself isn't terrible in concept or premise, it just needs better delivery really.

    What I think about all this is the only thing that seems even remotely bad is the claim of him 'starting beef' with a six year old. To me it is obvious he did not. His insults are all directed at his mother. And the mother herself even says her son is not ever on her insta and she just 'let him' record that little video. She swears she doesn't exploit her kid or allow him online.
    So, how would the kid ever even see or know of the comment?
    Can't be 'starting beef' with someone who will never see the beef. The beef is between her and Rife. She is just saying between her son and Rife as a copout.
    I also don't buy her version of events on how the video came about in the first place either.
    It also doesn't make sense to say Rife started beef when.. well, technically you used your son to start the beef, lady.
    I despise when people exploit their kids, and that right there is a parent who saw an opportunity and didn't jump.. just threw her kid.. like a quokka or somethin.

    Taking jokes personally means you are killing comedy!!! Comedy is a way to laugh at ourselves and at serious topics!! I'd say a joke can bring more attention to a serious topic!

    Matt is funny. He’s been hustling since he was 14 years old. His set is always sold out, this loser is just jealous.

      It's called "commentary" but yeah just a guy talking to a camera alone about a certain subject, make fun of it, talk about it etc... like penguinz0 but just a little different
