Great video. Congrats. Only advice would be very careful with the construction process. My wife and I had a bad experience. We were purchasing in Punta Cana Vista Cana and there were some buildings that had exploded due to gas leakes. Pray that all goes well for you both. 😊
As a Dominican living overseas I would invest my money in a ready commercial unit rather than in a condo expecting income from Airbnb and competing with so many other options! A 50 mts2 commercial unit in a tourist destination would report more than USD2,000 stable monthly income because I would not depend on tourism or Airbnbs! No need to furnish! Tourism is one of the most vulnerable industries!
I want to buy in las Terrenas but realtors keep pushing me to Punta Cana like cap Cana and vista Cana. I’m taking a trip out there next week to see both. But Las Terrenas looks beautiful
Nice! Las Terrenas is still growing and nothing close to Punta Cana development. We just left Las Terrenas and will be in Santo Domingo the next 5 days.
Another big concern I have is the enormous economical gap between the rich and the poor without any social welfare system that would ease prices of food, electricity, etc. to the poor class. For how long would foreigners feel safe until their villas and condos get assaulted? The political instability in Haiti which most foreigners tend to overlook raises doubts as well. I have been informed that most commercial spots in Villa Consuelo, Santo Domingo are being bought by Chinese investors. Those people are the gurus in making money and none owns condos or villas to rent in Airbnb! I’d rather rent for a short period than someday seeing the tourist industry collapsed because people are not longer safe in the island. Anyway you already invested and when buying in plans if you want to withdraw, you might lose a lot. So go ahead, try it and whenever you get a chance switch to commercial unit investments. 2 years contract + USD2,000.00 rent not bad at all! It scare when I see so many people investing into the same kind of thing
Thanks for your comment! We definitely all have reasons for the decisions we make. And like everything it is important to do your research. Looks like you’ve got a lot of that covered.
Congrats on the purchase!. Thats a great price for a 3 bed 3.5 bath.
You two are great! Luv the transparency. I'll be in touch soon
Congratulations guys! 👏

Take a insurance loan and have the income pay it back
