I'm glad you ran into MidYear Mitch , He has a great channel , his knowledge of these C2's is amazing. I cannot believe he doesn't have 50 thousand subscribers .He's one smart guy .
I recently purchased a 63 Corvette and I have just finished getting it running and it will soon be on the road. The car only has 38 original miles and I drug it out of a garage that was about to collapse. I can't wait to get it out on the highway where it belongs.
You're very well informed on corvette history. I'm impressed. Honestly thought the vid was going to be a drag and I was going to skip through, but quite the opposite you gave so much good info with no bloat I really appreciate that. Loved the MidYearMitch Cameo.
Very informative vid. A few more tidbits....Laguna blue 64 roadster has a non-correct flat blade hurst shifter w/white ball. Also, early 64's had raised boss under the outer door handle like the 63 (I think this one does too), also this car has a double reservoir MC; should have a single res in 64's. B pillar roof louvers came out in 64 (fnct'l only on driver's side). Most of the big block oil pressure gauges go to 80 lbs. Small block only goes to 60lbs. Great Video! A+++++
Hey from the South Carolina Coast. Great vid. I have a 64 L76 327 / 365 4 speed close ratio Muncie all matching numbers all documented. Only painted once in the original Silver Blue with Blue interior. 40,120 original miles. Pretty much mint. I see the prices creeping up on the 64 L76s Paid 40K 10 years ago so I can't get hurt on this one. Also have a 2007 Z51 3LT Atomic Metallic Orange, original owner, 8k original miles. Love that car. Great channel just subbed.
I thought I knew a lot about C2 but boy you nailed it!!! My pick is the yellow 67 BB. I think the 67’s were the best year for the C2’s with all the blemishes gone, the back up light and center console E-brake... but any car from 65 to 67 are the years I like and in a coupe version over a roaster because they seem stronger and ride with less noise and rattles. Thank you for the Vid and the lessons... well done. I sure do miss Carlisle, there was something going on there every weekend.
It's crazy the prices they're asking for '63 Vettes ! My 1st Corvette was a '63 split window 340hp , I bought it in 1967 for $2425.00 , now they are asking $200,000 for them !! Really enjoyed your video, great job .
Bought a red 63 split window for $2,300 in 68 from my boss. Added factory side pipes. The cost was $250 installed at my chevy dealer in town. Sold it a yr later for $2,100 to the owner of the marina in town and he towed boats with it...who knew!
Great video. Learned lots about C2s. But one thing, there was no Stingray emblem on the Corvette in 1968. The Stingray emblem was returned in '69 as you mentioned as one word.
The vette's are classic and fast for the time's for sure. The car for the younger drivers. The later G6 and forward have improved tremendously. When you mention certain things about the car the camera needs to get closer and stop a couple second's to enable the viewers to see what you're explaining. We can freeze the frames and inspect for clarity and reading. You will have record of the journey for the future. Best without the dome lens for close up's also. The Callaway collection is amazing and historical. Keep on Rollin. Enjoy Labor day weekend.
10.5 seconds in the quarter???? GOOD GOD,when i was a young fella there was a movie called Billy Jack ,he rode a Triumph but there was a young smart alec kid who drove a fancy Corvette ,can anyone date that particular car and year ,late 60s maybe ,i think it was a gold colour just a beautiful car
Just an FYI abut the tachometer on the '63 Corvette: Both the 360HP (fuel injected) and the 340HP (carbureted) had 6500 RPM redline. They had the same high compression, solid lifter block, with the difference being fuel injection vs. carburetor.
Bought a 67 tri power from a fellow in 75, $2700. Fuel prices were up and he wanted to buy a Honda. Had to have the frame re-welded because it wouldn’t maintain front end alignment. Started burning oil, replaced the valve seals And drove it till 85 without a problem.
U mention that in 1968 the Corvette went from "Sting Ray" to "Stingray" , one word in 1968. I believe in 1968 the got rid of the Sting Ray/ Stingray all together and in 1969, it started up again.
I had a uncle who collected 60’s vettes in the 70’s. He would get them cheap and drive some in the winter. Back then, people were practically giving them away.
Nice but not enough time spent on the "Red headed step child" of the C2'S, the 1964. Also , I've called the reverse lights ,back up lights. And yes I am a proud C2 owner,a Daytona Blue 64 coupe.
The laguna blue 66. I have an early year convertible with the 450 hp 427 markings and side pipes. In much better shape. How can i find a real price on it?
Love American cars mustang Cameron Cuda but the corvettes are the best they look amazing they try to keep the price low enuf so a normal car crazy guy can get his hands on one the new vettes look better than a Lamborghini or any of those Italian money suckered one day a the track your Ferrari needs an alignment and a tune up get the vette

Great Job ! As they say, information is not knowledge until it is shared, which you did ! As a former Carlisle head judge, you were spot on.
Best UA-cam I've seen on this years Carlisle show.
He does a great job
The best breakdown of the C2 I have seen on UA-cam...great job! 👏👍😎
My favorite generation Corvette ❤ I’m the proud owner of a restored 1967 L79 Coupe, which I bought in 2021.

Your in-depth knowledge is educational. Thanks
Another great day in class,,,

Yes he is!
i always love watching your videos. youre a wealth of knowledge
Great Video!! I was unable to make it to C@C this year. Thanks for producing such a detailed video!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My 63 Split has bent needles on the speedo and tach, a 63 only item as well. Nie work my friend, always look forward to your vids!!
I appreciate your content. It's always useful information for a variety of collectible cars .
I looked that car over closely. It is stunning. Great info. Good job on the video. Right now, 63 coupes are selling north of $200,000.
This video was so good that I didn't even need to look at your page, I just hit the subscribe button. Nice job 👍

Mid-Year Mitch is awesome. Great channel!!
Another great video keep em coming
Great job my friend. I knew most everything you talked about- but nice seeing it in real life.
Split window was gorgeous one!
Very nice video. Thank you for taking the time to make it. Teakwood steering wheels were a option in 1965 and 1966 .

Very nice Walkthrough and explanations loved it all, and Mid Year Mitch interview TY
Very Informative...

Very educational
I believe I saw you on Friday at Carlisle.
Great video , thank you
Love the new C8!!!
Who is this man...I think Dennis Collins would be impressed..I know I am, I've owned 5 Corvettes and really know very little...

Very informative, but there is no Stingray emblem on a 1968

63 ,64and 67 where always easy for me to id ,67 has 4 way flashers knob on the side of the steering coulum

Great info really enjoy your video.
Good explanations on the model yrs.
Great job with the video, That Red 62 was a pretty good deal, I'm sure he sold that at Carlisle
Stingray script was taken off for 68 and put back on in 69 then taken off some time in the 70's then put the stingray emblem back on for the C 7's
Nicely done. I follow Mitch on You Tube.
In 1968 the car was just a Corvette, the Stingray (all one word) came back in !969

these people do not want to sell. everyone is fishing for suckers. prices are ridiculous
63 steering wheel center spokes have the brushed stainless going from center out to the edge, 64-67 have the brushed marks going around the spokes.
I believe the Z06 1963 fuel tank was 36 gallons . 🖖🏻
Just an FYI abut the tachometer on the '63 Corvette: Both the 360HP (fuel injected) and the 340HP (carbureted) had 6500 RPM redline. They had the same high compression, solid lifter block, with the difference being fuel injection vs. carburetor.

The '63 hardtop and the '67 427 CID L88 are my favorite C2s, and the '66 with 396 CID isn't bad either.
I believe it was a 36 gal fuel tank

I had a uncle who collected 60’s vettes in the 70’s. He would get them cheap and drive some in the winter. Back then, people were practically giving them away.
They were "back lot" cars at that time.
What percentage cheaper is a 65’ corvette convertible compared to a coupe?
Nice but not enough time spent on the "Red headed step child" of the C2'S, the 1964. Also , I've called the reverse lights ,back up lights. And yes I am a proud C2 owner,a Daytona Blue 64 coupe.
And I thought I knew something about Corvettes!!!!
Those prices are nuts
that camaro was 6k all day
The laguna blue 66. I have an early year convertible with the 450 hp 427 markings and side pipes. In much better shape. How can i find a real price on it?
Was there ever an L-88 with three 2 barrels?
No. One Holley 4 barrel carb.
👍👍👍👍
GM should've let Calloway design the C8 Corvette.
Is that a roach hole iin the front of your shirt ?
Most likely
I skipped the E vette , I don't see how it will ever sell . I don't care how fast it is
I did too! They should have named it the E-GAY!
Not in this economy he’s not gonna get 200,000 he’s dreaming on that 63
Coming from a dia-hard Corvette enthusiast,I hope the E-Vette will be a sales flop.

Buying a plastic car is like buying from China
