The 10 minute timer is great to bring focus. Get up, start countdown, get on with it. Stop timer. Look at what you’ve achieved. I’m sure your little boy will be well. Hardest job, being a parent.Well done. Thanks Remi
Dear Remi, your videos are an inspiration to me and every messy person. Stop shaming yourself! Be proud of the outreach service you are performing! Hugs!!
Remi I want to share something that helped me when we had health issues with our daughter. It can be so all consuming, and my sister used to remind me to "take baby steps"- to bring the big picture back closer and closer, smaller and smaller, to the moment I could manage. Sometimes that was the day ahead of me, sometimes it was the very minute I was in. It really helped and may be useful for you or someone else. I realize when I am overwhelmed I am thinking too far ahead, about too many possibilities, when actually I often need to only do what's right in front of me. Baby steps reminds me even now to pull in and in and in until life feels smaller and manageable... and then move forward from there. ❤❤❤ Best of luck with everything! I have three daughters and I once made a miniature book titled My Heart Goes Out in Three Directions. Once we have children our heart is no longer our own.
Thanks, Remi for posting some of your TicTok here because I don't "do" TicTok😊 Love your 10 minute tidy ups and I am implementing some of those myself ❤
Thanks for sharing that we are not all programmed to do it naturally. Might hit my bedroom with a 10-minute timer tomorrow. My prayers for your little ones' tests and your peace. God bless you x happy Easter x
Hysterical, screaming goat...Made me laugh out loud, brilliant! I'm sure Ike will be fine. My house used to be like yours, toys, laundry and pots everywhere and I too would find forks and spoon in the most odd places. Then the kids grew up and went off to University and I got a dog. The house is still messy... and yes, it's me!! This year I decided to be kinder to myself and NOT to apologise for the mess when friends came over. I do a bit of a clean and tidy each day depending on pain and energy levels and yeah I can see a difference. Thanks for all you do
I think you do a great job, when you have little ones all you can do is do what you can. I know when your house is clean it makes you feel better, but your little ones won’t be little long and they won’t remember if the house was tidy. Enjoy those babies now cause time flies. Great job. Thank you for sharing
I absolutely love this type of cleaning. My own mental health (and neurodivergence) has been Big Nope lately, so I've pared it down to a two-minute tidy for the time being. The _real_ value for me is that once you get that ball rolling, it just gathers momentum and wants to keep on for ages sometimes. And if it doesn't, then you've still achieved your tidy goal. Can't lose either way. ♥ You've got this!
I have a chronic illness with phases of extreme pain. I know the feeling when its just too much too "just pick up". Sometimes you are happy to just reach the bath or make yourself a coffee. What helped me was to declutter ruthlessly so there is no chance that the floor gets covered even if I have a very bad flare up. And I keep on decluttering so it stays that way and this way i wont exhaust myself clearning it all up once i feel better. Cleaning is so much easier as well with minimal stuff. For me, I have a rule: if its not managable, its too much stuff. I needed more than I few years to realize that this is whats best for me! I am happy that the clean up wont stress me out no more.
Praying for Ike and the rest of you. It is hard being a parent. When my daughter was a month old the doctors thought she had cystic fibrous. I didn't even know what that was. When he told me I was like you i just froze up. After that shock I cried and prayed. After 10 days of tests in a childrens hospital the test came back negative! I thank God to this day and shes 35. About your video, you have done so much in 10 minutes! I love your videos. Your ideas are marvelous! I don't know you personally but I would love to! I really like your humor and your heart for people. Thank you for what you do!
I so appreciate seeing another household of imperfection but with consistent effort. I’m a sahm, we homeschool, and we have other things that are major parts of our lives at home. It’s intense to try to keep up and make it a home. What a breath of fresh air to see someone else doing their best, by their own standards and not everyone else’s.
You're doing great! I watch a lot of Hoarders on TV. Doing this regularly is a massive help. I struggle myself to keep on top of things. Me and my son both have disabilities, and I have mental health issues as well. Little and often is the way. I do the organised mum method 👍
I’m 58 with severe adhd. I’ve only known for a few years. I kid you not.. Remi is a mini me! The stress and struggle is real and hard to handle some days.
Remi thank you for the motivation I need to pack for a trip to get out of the house I’am using the 10 min for each task Thank you girl you are amazing so helpful ! 🙏🏻🙌🏻💕
You are the most organized unorganized person & I am absolutely here for it. Love it all! ❤ I wish we lived in the same country because when you talked about your mental health I really felt it. We are two of the same!
I love your voiceovers, it's a very satisfying video thank you. I really recommend looking into toy rotation so that you don't have to pack away so many toys everyday. It's really helped me!
Oh how I wish I had a cupboard like yours. I want to create a quiet, cozy place where I can pray and read my Bible. Love how your cupboard looks now. I have chronic pain and am pretty badly sore most days. But I just cannot have peace if my house isn't tidy. It will bug the cr*p out of me and I won't be able to rest like I need to. If my home is not neat and tidy the anxiety shoots through the roof. I have been invited to go visit my mom who lives on the other end of the country and one of the major things that is making me so hesitant to visit her is that I may come home to a messy/dirty house. I never used to be this bad. Maybe I am trying to control the cleanliness of my house to make up for the fact that I cannot control the pain. I like your content. I pretty much clean every day so for motivation I like to watch and rewatch your videos while I am having breakfast or while I'm on a quick break. I love how real you are.
I wish my mom had made me do chores. I think it would have helped me greatly in my adult life. I am a lot like you. My mother used to fuss with me to clean my room until she worked herself into a lather then she would just clean it up herself. That did not help me in the long run. Do not get me wrong, she did not clean very often. Our house was always messy - always. I guess that is why I am comfortable living in a disaster area. But, deep down, I want a presentable house. It has been a struggle n my entire adult life. I am 72 and still trying. In.my 50s, it was determined that I have ADD. So I have medicine that I take on days that I want to accomplish something. Otherwise, I am VERY easily distracted and do not get much accomplished. I really enjoy your channel. Do you ever watch the you tube channel Diane in Denmark. She is great. Take care.
I understand your health anxiety, being a special needs mom I have a lot of that myself.. I’ve had some really really down days, and I am going to try this 10 minute method for my house! My depression mess is real bad at this point, some days I just can’t get it done😢 thank you as always Remi! I adore you! ❤️ and will be praying for your sons blood test and your anxiety 🙏
You know, Remi, I just tried the 10 min clean of my living room and I’m surprised by how much you can get done in 10 minutes! I’m going to try this on my bathroom and bedroom now. Ten minutes just feels more manageable so thanks for this idea!
Remi you’re so not alone with the screaming goat inside , I have one two 🙈started after my 3rd baby ..... I’m sure many of us can understand how you feel , always nice to know we’re not alone . Sending a cuddly hug to Ike 🤗. Oh and his little hair cut looks super cute ☺️. Thanks again for talking and making those of us who struggle a whole lot better .💐💝💐
Yes having a house full over for the holiday. On Wednesday, I over did it & haven’t felt like doing a single thing since. (i always clean the kitchen) I will do my best today for a few hours. That’s all anyone can do. Be blessed. 💖🐰🐣🌱🌿
Looks great, Remi! I totally understand your worry about kids health and I am hoping that everything turns out to be just fine. Here is a little rule of thumb that I use when decluttering toys. Every time you pick up a toy think about the last time your child actually played with it and for how long they were entertained. Now compare to how often and how long it takes you to clean it up. If the entertainment time is lower than the cleanup time or even space it takes up, let it go. For me that was always sets of lots of tiny toys. Puzzles, pretend food and ridiculous quantities and the like. The truth was my kids didn’t play with them. They just dumped it out and spread it around. They don’t miss it. If you’re not ready to let it go, you can always pack it away and kind of quarantine it for a few months. Swap that out with something else and I’ll feel like new again.
I’ve used the timer method for years too. It really helps! I can identify with MH connection. Thank you for being real. You’re so wise. You’re a treasure. ❤🙏
I think these might be my favourite types of videos at the moment! As someone working split shifts most days with very little usable time at home, it’s definitely super useful and motivating!! Lovely home and lovely family, thank you Remi 🥰
Remi I love your videos and you feel like a long lost sister or something I never had. I only have one kid. She is 5 now. Up until last year she was not sleeping much and her first few years I exclusively breastfed her and would be up all night, sleep deprivation was real. It made me so much more anxious, paranoid, etc. no capacity to deal with those emotions because my battery was empty constantly. Your babies are still little as well, so I applaud you for doing this monumental task of making a UA-cam channel. You've helped a lot of people while helping yourself! ❤❤❤
I just love you! As a mom of 4 and constantly overwhelmed and often unable to stay on top of the mess, so much resonated with me ❤. Going to use this 10 minute rule and give myself some grace.
That “screaming goat” analogy is both the funniest and most accurate thing I’ve ever heard, I’m glad I’m not the only one 😂 Still can’t get over how incredible that cupboard looks too!! Your videos are honestly such a big help, thank you from a fellow chaotic human 🤍
Honey im so proud of you, you are an amazing person, and the guilt shouldn't be messing your heart, you are an amazing mom, no matter how much time it takes to do the tidy cleaning, today i've spent 4 hours cleaning my doughters room, i was absolutly tired and pain was terrible in my back but i feel so pleased when she got home and said that she love it, and that i was the better mom in the world... I trully believe its not the form, it's not the time, it's not the mess, it's the heart we put on everything that we do, so for that i thank you for the love of sharing your mind and heart, i hope you can feel better soon, we love ya❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤
Lovely Remi I loved seeing Ike ( Aike?...the two year old) snuggle up in his chair under the blankey you just folded...repeatedly lol. And filling the fruit bowl. I love doing that after I go shopping. Today I got a mango and two kiwi's...but will go to the organic veggie store for the first time this week and hopefully find some in season fruit that's not too expensive. Early Autumn here now in Aus. Tired of getting fruit from my normal supermarket that looks nice but is inedible like those peaches last week. I digress I love the 10 minute per room idea...might give it a go
Thank you Remi You are always on my mind I live on the other side of the world but it feels like I know you my whole life Thank you for sharing your life with us ♥️💐
Remi, TY for doing and saying what ya say. I suffer from mental health and chronic pain damage, it helps a lot. I don't have children, but I think ya doing great and I know you're worrying about your youngest rn but everything will be ok. ❤ Ya don't realize how many people ya are helping. Again TY love ❤
I hope you have a beautiful relaxed day also! Saying a prayer for your son's blood test. Love your videos, you tell it like it is. Love just listening to your voice.
I am sorry you are struggling Remi. I pray your little boy’s lab work doesn’t show anything wrong. I, too, worried about my children excessively. I remember one year we traveled to the beach. It was long before seatbelts were required. My son slept on the back ledge of the car. When we got to the beach he was bright red, very hot to touch. I thought he had Scarlet Fever! He had sun burn. So I understand what you mean. I was not only a mother but a nurse so I was really bad at jumping to the worst possible conclusion. Anyway I loved your video as usual.
Love that you bring the videos to YT, I don't use any other social medias. I've watched them all at this point and they're very relatable and helpful to get me moving with some motivation. I love how real you and your channel are. Ignore the haters, obviously they're speaking out of turn. You're doing a great job. 🎉
Thank you Remi ❤.. I was very organised and it came quite naturally to me but for me the cleaning and tidying was obsessive so, I had to find ways to keep it under control. Every time I got emotional or was going through a difficult time I would over clean and declutter. You remind me of my sister who was very similar to you. She really struggled to pick up as she went along. You have come along way. Well done! 🎉I remember watching your old videos. Take care
@@angelarothbauer8096 Same, I had to find a balance because I wasn't spending enough time with my family. Even now I have difficult days where I have to stop myself and have a word with myself because I can easily become obsessive to the point I am cleaning the same area multiple times a day.
I love your videos and normalizing motherhood. Beeing a mother IS hard sometimes and it may take all of your energy so who cares about if your floors are hoovered!
Thanks Remi, a counsellor suggested this too me years ago but forgotten all about it but she said 20 mins. I find 10 mins is so much better because if like me people struggle it's good to get started cleaning or if you're not feeling it 10 minutes isn't too long! Love you're posts, you've helped me get started. Thanks again ❤❤
Counsellor here! Yes, I often also chat with my clients about how making something "10 minutes better" might feel ❤ Go you, so pleased you found something from your therapy and adapted it into what works for you. X
Love the 10 minute timer. Sometimes I reset for another 10. One tip I've been focusing on in the kitchen is put things away as I prep/cook. That way it's not such a job to clean up in the end.
I’m 65 years old and my mom taught me this when I was very young. When I actually wash the dishes as I cook,I have hardly anything to wash after dinner except two plates, forks, glasses and the pan I cooked in. If the meal requires more of my attention,my mom always said,at least put everything in the sink with hot, soapy water because your tired,”after dinner cook” will thank you. She was so right, moms always are!
Dear Remi❤ Your doing amazing. Anxiety was a HUGE part of my life, I understand! Bless you Anxiety is a nasty monster & im doing the same & listened to your video and tackled a room that took several days Now it's my fav❤ Love you Xx Willow-Sage Victoria b.c Canada 🇨🇦
I am so pleased with your wisdom (child-raising). I will pray for your little guy. It is always hard but keep trying to stay only positive. This will pay off in your life as a whole. I'll try the timer technique. I'm amazed at how much you got finished! And you blow me away with your love of scrubbing!
Gosh, I am so intrigued by and proud of what you are accomplishing. You are making videos that are so relatable and reassuring for so many people, plus look how your channel is growing!! 150k subscribers!
As a child, teen, and young adult, I was a “messy,” and of course, even at 65 y/o, I still have bouts of those tendencies. Having to much stuff is also a problem, and I have read a multitude of books on organizing, housecleaning, and clutter, but like dieting, I lose it, then gain it back! My friend of almost 30 years has seen me have multiple yard sales, get my house in order, only to be in the same place a few months or years later. Like you, I do enjoy a deep cleaning, but the room can be in chaos around me, while I’m focused on scrubbing baseboards, doors, and moldings, or taking down curtains to wash, iron, and scrub the windows! I stumbled on your video and was delighted to watch and hear your struggles with these similar issues, finding them encouraging and helpful. Your 10 minute timing method would definitely be helpful if I use it first before deep cleaning. I also plan on watching your decluttering video. Thank you for your honesty and the courage to share!
Sometimes I set a timer like you. A definite amount of minutes to every room. In some occasions I set a timer for 30 minutes, for instance, and start cleaning and tidying up one room but if I have to walk out from it and I see that something should be done in another room I do it. Remi, I love very much your videos. Keep on filming and be as genuine as always. Happy Sunday!
It IS amazing how much can get done in in just a few minutes. Often my boys & hubby would also join me in a 10 minute tidy. Four of us blitzing through the house. So much accomplished! When my boys were little I tried to treat the 10min tidy as a game. Took a little work in the setup and it's a silly little game, but the boys had fun with it. This is what I did... I had a collection of pictures of the rooms throughout the home in their "tidy" state. The boys would select a picture and in 10min they would do their best to restore the room to the condition shown in the picture. I also had bought little toy ducks that were "designated" to each room. I would hide the duck before the boys entered the room. I would ask- "Boys, where is MR Duck in the picture?" If they found the duck within the 10min. tidy and return it to the location shown in the picture they would earn points towards a special treat.
Things I have leaned from you:
1. Give myself grace
2. Ditch what doesn't work for me
3. Its okay to do what I can
4. Family time is what is most important.
You are truly a down to earth breath of fresh air. The only cleaning channel I watch.
Couldn't be said better. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Awesome advice!🙌🏻
I think I unconsciously do this, I always tell myself it’s not 100% perfect but it’s 100% better 🗣️
Yes!!! That’s the attitude to have! 😁
Absolutely!! Since I switched from "I have to do it perfectly" to simply "make it better" I've been finding it easier to keep my house in order!
Yes it’s ok to not have every single part of the room or house done. Instant pressure release 🎉
Well done remi another brilliant video done.you really are amazing. Its so lovely when your dear little boys join in to help ❤❤
I’ve used the timer method for years too. It really helps! I can identify with MH connection. Thank you for being real. You’re so wise. You’re a treasure. ❤🙏
I so appreciate your cleans and the voiceovers! I find a feeling of comfort hearing that it’s not just me.
I think these might be my favourite types of videos at the moment! As someone working split shifts most days with very little usable time at home, it’s definitely super useful and motivating!! Lovely home and lovely family, thank you Remi 🥰
Perfect way to start my Saturday! Thank you Remi
❤️❤️❤️
Remi I love your videos and you feel like a long lost sister or something I never had. I only have one kid. She is 5 now. Up until last year she was not sleeping much and her first few years I exclusively breastfed her and would be up all night, sleep deprivation was real. It made me so much more anxious, paranoid, etc. no capacity to deal with those emotions because my battery was empty constantly. Your babies are still little as well, so I applaud you for doing this monumental task of making a UA-cam channel. You've helped a lot of people while helping yourself! ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!! Ike is still breastfed at night time and I am still soooo tired every day, it doesn’t help with the anxiety for sure! ❤️
Your house is so cozy! Absolutely love the kitchen, something about the big window with the sink is so pleasant
I just love you! As a mom of 4 and constantly overwhelmed and often unable to stay on top of the mess, so much resonated with me ❤. Going to use this 10 minute rule and give myself some grace.
Amazing. Time to get that timer out! TY! 💋
You are doing a great job, don't ever think any different. You are inspiring so many people 💖 keep being you. That is all you need . X
I love your channel!!! You are very open, honest and helpful… I feel I can very much relate !!! I wish your videos were longer, I just love em’ ❤❤❤
Lovely Remi
I loved seeing Ike ( Aike?...the two year old) snuggle up in his chair under the blankey you just folded...repeatedly lol.
I digress
I love the 10 minute per room idea...might give it a go
I liked Ike & the blanket thing too! Typical 2 year old. So cute! 😂❤️
You’re the trooper, Remi. Thanks so much.
Thank you Remi
You are always on my mind
I live on the other side of the world but it feels like I know you my whole life
Thank you for sharing your life with us
♥️💐
your videos are such a breath of fresh air and i truly treasure them! I always save them for when I need to motivate to do my own cleaning!
I love your videos! 😊 I think you're doing amazing. It's more important to spend time with your kids than to always have a perfect house!
So good. 🥰💙 Thank you for sharing!! I'm going to try it tomorrow 😅
Just when I thought no videos for like months on end u posted can’t wait thank you so much for providing us all with this video lyl xox
That’s totally amazing what you accomplished in that timeframe! You’re such an inspiration ❤
Take care
Yes I over cleaned and wasted so much of my life
@@angelarothbauer8096 Same, I had to find a balance because I wasn't spending enough time with my family. Even now I have difficult days where I have to stop myself and have a word with myself because I can easily become obsessive to the point I am cleaning the same area multiple times a day.
U r one of the strongest people I know. U truly r a blessing to so many.
Thank you for sharing, you are always inspirational and lots of fun. I think your older son will be a big help to you with his chore chart. ❤
I am so going to try this 10 minute timer technique.
Thankyou for the inspo.
Take care lovely ❤
Dear Remi❤

I am so pleased with your wisdom (child-raising). I will pray for your little guy. It is always hard but keep trying to stay only positive. This will pay off in your life as a whole. I'll try the timer technique. I'm amazed at how much you got finished! And you blow me away with your love of scrubbing!
My house is always tidy but I HATE to scrub anymore so I don’t usually thoroughly scrub the shower unless I’m having overnight company.🤭😬
You are so adorable! I love watching your videos & listening to your wisdom! I hope the results of your son's blood tests come out just fine. 😊
Thanks for sharing Remi! ❤
Praying for your little one. You are a good momma and I really enjoy your videos. Love from Ohio! Happy Easter and God bless you all!
Gosh, I am so intrigued by and proud of what you are accomplishing. You are making videos that are so relatable and reassuring for so many people, plus look how your channel is growing!! 150k subscribers!
Wonderful job 👏 ❤. Happy Easter to all that celebrate.
Thank you ☺️❤️
As a child, teen, and young adult, I was a “messy,” and of course, even at 65 y/o, I still have bouts of those tendencies.
Just the inspiration I needed today! Thank you, Remi, for taking the time to share your TikToks over for us over here! I appreciate you!! 💕
I e started doing 10 minute timer it's brilliant never would have thought about it I think your great lass 😊
Thank you for sharing I feel better knowing I’m not alone. Will give this a try❤
Listening to you is like listening to myself. I so get it.
Good on you're you're boy for helping even you're little one trying too help. Bless them x
You are doing a great job. Thank you for motivating me. You are such a wonderful Mom
You are the sweetest ❤how I enjoy and love your honesty and your openness you inspire me
It IS amazing how much can get done in in just a few minutes.
Love this whole idea!🙌🏻
Thank you for sharing your tik toks on YT! I don’t have any social media. Your videos are always so lovely to watch. ❤
