+1 for recommending hair spray, preferably "firm hold". Once the solvent evaporates it helps stick the grip down. To get them off just slide an old spoke or a really thin bladed screwdriver under the grip spray some more in and give it a twist...
I needed to replace my deathgrips. I was gonna go for the ergons but no shops had them in stock to get a feel of them so decided on another pair of deathgrips. Glad I did now
Recently switched from ergon to deathgrips. Have to say I prefer the ergons. I'm finding hand fatigue with the deathgrips. The ergons need a lot of playing with the position to get them right for your hands. Deathgrips traction is excellent, definitely suited to short runs rather than longer rides
@@clmfilms8103 It is worth a try. I am currently using PNW loam grips which are also a good option but less pricey. I would also look at your cockpit setup and your fork setup as both can contribute to hand pump
Currently on pnw loam too. I don't suffer from arm and hand pump. I just found deathgrips compound too firm for my liking. Getting on well with the one grips
Very good review and very helpful for me right now. Just bought a bike that came with the Ergon and I don’t care for them. Looking for something new and will probably go with the deathgrips too. Video shared.
Something with the esi grips you got the chunky but people usually get the extra chunky which are thicker then theres the fattys that are even thicker and have a extra shock absorption system they also are kinda ribbed giving extra grip
Everyone over hypes death grips for sure my mates have gone through loads of them and I’ve had my odis for like 2 years of hard downhill and they’re still going great
Got the deity grips and find them comfy and durable plenty of crashes and no damage, was wondering the bike park you were at for the vid, looking for somewhere like this to practice my jumping and bike skills ?
you seem to have the mic too close as you have mic pop sound. it's unpleasant. you should check audio every time you record. but the audio quality is great, so try to tweak the mic position. might also want to experiment with the volume, and conference mode in windows audio settings.
how long did you test reach set of grips? I've had ESI grips in the past few years ago, but the issue was back then they only lasted me about a month/4wekks, as they got too soft, they got so soft that I felt the handlebar. I don't know if Muc Off bike cleaner is effecting them. So I gave up on them, Now I use Revgrips. the grip last much longer.
Cheers mate, sorry I can’t give away the location, it’s our own private setup and is insured by the local community so the landowners and council won’t allow us to promote it in anyway. 🤟
I'm stuck on this not in 2024 with new bike! Grips on it are amazing Acid disrupt very underestimated only thing is they are orange and hate orange so they gotta go! Damb expensive aswell would have switched for grey ones but not paying the price tag of 35 bucks

I would like the ergon grips please. Keep the content coming, it’s good watching, well put together and informative.
I just love how ESI are so soft on the hands and the grip excellent, but you drop the bike once, and they are blasted

Great comment
I'm having a lot of problems with hand pump/pain when riding my trail bike at the bikepark, should I switch to ergons from deathgrips?

I have ergon ge1 Evo and PNW handlebars....So far, it's been the best combo I've experienced with less fatigue.
Currently on pnw loam too. I don't suffer from arm and hand pump. I just found deathgrips compound too firm for my liking. Getting on well with the one grips
Done, would love the odis had some for nearly 3 years and still strong but a new pair wouldn’t go a miss!
Done. I'd love the Death Grips to match the red accents on my 2020 Vitus Nucleus. Great video. Thanks.
Thanks for the video. I realise it's an old one but for anyone that is interested the Ergons are £20 on Amazon.
Odi Elite Pro Seem pretty popular.
Awesome content. Really upped your game. Keep it up brother
Very convincing test Loved the real life test ! 👍

The Death Grips are my personal favourite but they do wear down pretty quickly .
Love the content is back all the best bud
Why do you think they wear down qwick kid
@@simonchaddock3694 so people by more lol..
Usage I guess or they designed not to last who knows
Done definitely would have them odi's
Im using DMR Deathgrips. Using it on downhill and wet trails. It fine to me
Something with the esi grips you got the chunky but people usually get the extra chunky which are thicker then theres the fattys that are even thicker and have a extra shock absorption system they also are kinda ribbed giving extra grip
Done would love those odi’s
Great review, really helpful
Red death grips please... Will match my flaremax 💪🏻
Everyone over hypes death grips for sure my mates have gone through loads of them and I’ve had my odis for like 2 years of hard downhill and they’re still going great
A coiple of questions for you: 1) what are your "usual" grips?
2) what do you mean by "more control"?
Should have tried the ergon ga3
I shared liked and subscribed my favourite is the ergons
Great vid , many thanks
Done i would love the dmr reds
I’ve just ordered the red camo ones £18
Good video....Instead of using wd40..try alcohol ((when the alcohol dries the grip doesn't slip)
Esi foam grips I ran death grips on all bikes until a friend told me to try esi grips I won’t go back now
I’ve got some new death grips on my 15 year old kona 😂 those trails look fun are they local?
great video , what spot are you riding at it looks really fun ?
Thanks it’s our own private bike park, just a cool little spot we’ve built ourselves.
I would love death grips for my new Ribble H2 725, I’m currently running pilgrips but they wear really quickly
ive lost only 2 grips to moisture and hairspray. ill never use it again. Krylon clear coat is my only trusted method. any spray paint will work.
Got the deity grips and find them comfy and durable plenty of crashes and no damage, was wondering the bike park you were at for the vid, looking for somewhere like this to practice my jumping and bike skills ?
Great comment, the bike park is our own private one so sorry I can’t give the location away 🤘
@@TheHeadAngle Ok cheers bud, fair play keep up the vids
Done would have them odi
Was lookin forward to buying them ergons but how do you attach them
Shoulda used the ESI Extra Chunky XL
done
I have a giant hardtail. I dont do any jumps. The oem grips have a bulge and felt ok but they slip.
Should i upgrade them or buy new ones.

Great video! I've been contemplating death grips for a while. What is the park where youve tested these gribs!? Looks mint.

@@TheHeadAngle No worries mate! I thought that may be the case 👍🏻 Just watched your last video and that park looks sick.
If you suffering with numb hands/fingers DMR death grips are defo not the one you want.
Which one would you recommend?? since I have the ergon ga2 fat and my hands still hurt
Death grips
