Animaniacs (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 січ 2017
- A playthrough of Konami's 1994 platformer for the Super Nintendo, Animaniacs.
Shows the best ending - I collect all of the scripts over the course of the playthrough.
Animaniacs is a pretty excellent game. The graphics and sound are great and do a good job of capturing the show (gee, Konami really had a knack for this!), and the gameplay does a great job of standing out against the rest of the platforming cartoon-based games on the system, with the use of all three characters at a time and the (weird to get used to) "lane" system for vertical movement.
It's simple and pretty easy, but the personality this game exudes is fantastic. Tons of fun.

For some reason, I absolutely love how the ending theme sounds on the SNES. Just so beautiful!!
The Genesis version's credits screen uses the full version of the theme from the show's intro.
“Gee, Brain. Where will we hide our stolen script?”
“As individual pages on Universal, Fox, and Lucasarts sets, sometimes within props, sometimes in plain sight, sometimes in the pockets of extras and support staff”
Brain be like: Yep.
It's yet another Konami SNES classic, and you don't even need bologna in your slacks to enjoy it!
And really, even if the game is a massive collection of movie references, how many titles can brag that they feature a Falcor cameo?!
Do you plan on doing the Genesis version of the Game?
NintendoComplete I have the real game cartridge of this game
xwf1000v3 It's up now :)
NintendoComplete, This game is pretty damn good as expected since Konami made this game (It beats the Sh!+ out of the Sega Genesis version). If I were to rate every category of this game Console Wars style (Shout outs!)
Graphics: Super Nintendo wins
Presentation: Sega Genesis wins
Sound: Super Nintendo with out a doubt (The Aquatic stage music!...Holy Sh!+ This song is excellent! 10/10! 5 Stars!
Gameplay: SNES wins
And there you have my thoughts on this overlooked gem.
One of 28 SNES/SFC Konami games that I own in my collection.
Certainly wish we'd get more games like these again.
Yea
@@mattlexi14 what do you mean yea?
Another gem from Konami's finest era in the 1990s. The gameplay is a bit unconventional for the time but it's exactly what makes it stand out, on top of a fantastic presentation; I've always loved the trio's idle animations. After all these years, my favourite spot is still the Xenomorph with an aubergine for a head, even more because it appears there and there only.
I LOVED this game back in the day! It's so fantastic, just as the Genesis version.
I forgot how great the music was, too. Wonderful game and soundtrack, all around! MWAH! G'night, everybody!!
Konami from the 90s is like a good friend I miss.
I absolutely love this game and I'm in love with the cartoon!
Your right
Goo Goo Yoshi
*goodnight everybody*
People, people, I just played Animaniacs on a 1994 Sega game console. Who wants to watch my video?)))
Same with since 2014 my uncle download Animaniacs on my laptop since I want watch 90s cartoon during 2010s especially I start like retro stuff when I was 16 year old during 2010 of summer.
Almost got nailed at 34:55.
Good stuff evading that.
freespace2dotcom Thanks! That boss pattern could get pretty hairy at times!
NintendoComplete, when I first played this on an emulator, I went after every script and I didn't know how to get all the scripts from that boss, which led me to have 23 out of the 24 scripts... That is when is used this video as a guide and when I saw the final boss, I was livid...so f**k that boss if going for 100%.
Why he don't kill those guys??? It can be done with the dash :T
It one hit kill in this game genesis has multiple.
"Now we have our very own movie!"
*casually predicts Wakko's Wish six years before its release*
The absolute legend.
HE COMPLETE A GAME THATS SO HARD
Imagine if the cast recorded the lines in game, that would make it even better
i think they did that in the animaniacs game pack if you’re looking for voice overs
@midget-terminated-sausage Turtles in Time proves you wrong.
But there is no spoken dialogue in the game
@midget-terminated-sausage well.. yes but no... just like one audio clip would be good.. but thats all
@midget-terminated-sausage i Re-Read my comment and heres my new choice The snes and maybe the sega genesis Could (Now) [Could] be able to do the whole theme (Maybe) just maybe. Since RAM doesnt cost so much and since it could just be dumped into a ROM online it could be possible... just sayin... but if they wanted to make the game with the whole song in the 80s no.... finale comment.
Dot: I simply prefer the SNES version because it captures just how cute I am.
I agree with Dot.
Sega genesis version of animaniacs is better than snes version and I have animaniacs on sega genesis
@@jalaraswift5796 it had better animations but I think I prefer this one.
@@jalaraswift5796 Smaller character sprites, music that didn't sound as epic, washed out looking colors, and was more a puzzle game than action, no thanks. I own both SNES and Genesis versions, and they serve different needs, but no chance.
The one thing the Genesis version had that I liked, the Vic Viper cameo.
Hey I remember this game! Omg haven't seen it in ages. Tho this game is a classic and had fun playing I never beat it nor did I find all of the scripts lol. Good job tho and great video
Still looks and sounds just as good as I remember as a kid
You can just feel the love the developers had for this series.
They even made an accurate Ending Sequence with the clouds and stuff!
I miss the old Konami.
Genesis version's credits screen was less accurate than the SNES version, but it uses the official Genesis rendition of the full theme song.
This Animaniacs Super NES game follows the antics the characters from the #1 syndicated show on the Fox Network as part of Fox Kids.
Logic: Thaddeus sends the Warners to recover those scripts, but he forgets to tell Ralph to don't chase them back to the water tower
This show had a SNES game? WHY IT WASN'T ON THE SNES CLASSIC EDITION!
Due to lisenceing issue
Konami no longer owns the liscence to Animaniacs. This often happens with liscenced games of the past.
If Nintendo Switch had a port of this.
Obviously WB license
It's because this games is very underrated along with An American Tail Fievel Goes West SNES game
29:37 I always loved the E.T. reference in the Animaniacs video game 🎮
I wasn't able to beat this, this is why I watch your channel, you find shit I haven't beaten and will probably never see again and beat it. Love ya mate!
crossfiretarget I
crossfiretarget emulators.
Everytime I see that Konami intro thing I think of Contra 3. maybe cuz I played that game so much and didn't see any other game with that start up for a long long time.
Same. Even tho I do saw the Konami SNES logo for the first time when I was playing Contra 3: the alien wars.
Including whenever I played an SNES game that was owned by Konami, it looks like I'm playing a different game like Contra 3, I don't get the point tho lol
The same could be said for...
Super Castlevania IV
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
Sunset Riders
Castlevania: Dracula X
Ese sonido de KONAMI en la SNES era tan maravilloso como escuchar tambien el intro de NEOGEO, ahhh los viejos tiempos. Saludos
Definitely one of the better Animaniacs games, that's for sure. It was challenging, but getting all of those scripts was ultimately worth it in the end!
Also, in regards to Yakko's final line here, the Warners would eventually star in a movie of their own... albeit one that was a direct-to-video release. Ah well, a movie's a movie.
The Genesis version is the another good one where you steal the movie props at the end of every stage. No additional progression, just one ending in that one.
11:33 This is how you compose music for a water level.
This is Just Excellent music! It would be one of my top 20 16-Bit music, it's THAT good!
20:38 glitch with Dot & Wakko
I used to play this game for hours, but I don’t think I ever came anywhere close to beating it.
Fun Fact: the dance the warners do originate from "The Senses Song" from the tv show 6:50
The incredible nostalgia this brought me...
5:30 did anyone notice the Wolfen in the background
the part with the truck chasing you always scared me as a kid lol 7:30
This was my first ever game on my pc brings back alot of memories
I remember renting this from blockbuster..I loved this gem.
Now that this show's coming back; imagine there being an Animaniacs game for the Playstation, XBox or Nintendo Switch systems
Of course.
It'll be a remake of both Genesis and SNES games by Konami
@@sendhysaputra1464 😉👍
I do believe it might happen. 👍😄👍
@@albertmoreno8711 We're in season 2 now, nope, still hasn't happened.
29:38 Animaniacs meets the trademark E.T. scene
30:36 Really, I believed the background music was a theme from SNES Batman Returns. I'm not lying.
It reminds me of an old Sonic the Hedgehog's game ending at the start. Maybe Sonic 2.
The gameplay reminds me of some game. Maybe a Pokemon game?
Yakko's speeding Sprite was just like Sonic, Tails, Knuckle's versions.
The gameplay makes me think of The Lost Vikings
NintendoComplete and the running is Sonic.
6:52 Or 6:55 Wakko Be Dancing To The Beat or Music
(Alternative Title: Wakko Is AFK)
This reminds me of Sabrina episode "This is Your Nine Lives"
29:37 Way to reference your own company, you zany Warners.
33:57 Pinky and The Brain Boss Battle/Ending
SNES Animaniacs is a amazing video game
Genesis version too
5:55-6:03 Yakko, Wakko & Dot got kidnapped by Aliens
I ever when I was a kid I played this game and watching that show.
I can't believe the Animaniacs invented Zack Fair's Digital Mind Wave system.
....Okay, what ELSE am I supposed to think of when I see a constantly spinning slot wheel giving you powerups?
Silver coin gives you one while gold coin gives you five, similar to Capcom's Magical Quest games.
The Warners look so cute in pixel form!😊
I always wondered, did those letters (5:14 - 5:28) in the Sci-Fi Stage mean anything? Didn't know if that was a reference, a game hint, or was that just extra silliness.
I think it's a joking way to represent an X-wing and a Y-wing battling it out with a Tie Fighter (the H). From Star Wars. Notice how the bowling balls look an awful lot like the Death Star?
29:00 Ralph sure can run fast
You do have something to play this on
All of you.
Another time the Super Nintendo beat the Genesis.
You're sadly correct, since this does feel as zany as the Warners need to be, but I at least appreciate the Genesis game as well
This is another Konami title I've got in my SNES collection. I do like the game, but it's just the gettin' used to gettin' in the right lane was an issue for me, which is why I never could get through the Fantasy stage. I can get the other 3 but after that, I turn it and off reset and use a password to go to Editing Room stage with the 21 script pages that ya had to collect along the way and of course get the last 3 in the final confrontation with Pinky and the Brain. Nevertheless, I enjoy this game because it's Konami and it's got a great soundtrack.
1:34 Zooms be like 2020
I Wished That The Animaniacs Reboot Was Made Right Now!(AKA Immediately)
Dot's sprite is so cute
29:37 Animaniacs phone home! lmao XD (ET joke lol)
Okey
they're like E.T. in that part
18:52 Uriah from Space Harrier's bonus stage and ending, anyone?
Would love to find this at a yard sale. Looks fun. I only.had super mario kart and donkey Kong kountry 2 and 3 lol
3:43 how were you supposed to write this password down? All their names? How annoying. I guess you could take a picture with a 35mm camera or a Polaroid or something lol...oooorrr just write the first letter of their names....
At least there is a password system. Better than none at all.
Its time for animanicas! And we're zany to the max!
I have bologna in my slacks!
I’m animany totally insane
Cockamamie
Amamaniac
That’s not a fact
0:29
The Music...
0:30 The intro of the theme
I like how they start dancing
Damn when I ever lose my favorite one wakko I would always fall down the water tower
Flashback !
Seems like the Japanese had a firmer grip on how to make great games from western properties than western companies did of material from their own country.
There's some slowdown at 6:04, 17:12, and 33:28. This game deserves an SA-1 or a FastROM hack.
@@Vinicius-hs2rf Vitor Vilela can reduce heavy slowdown by request for SNES games on stock hardware while overclocking the 68K at 10 MHz for some Genesis games to reduce some slowdown but it can cause graphical glitches. Not sure about Turbografx.
30:28-33:56 Mega Man-style boss rush
I have the animanics GB edition that I just got and it's seems you haven't done the GB version of this games.
The GB version is based off the Genesis version.
I wish they make this on the switch
again....golden age of cartoons AND for games lol.....god the age when u had to write down the password after every lvl u beat lol
é maravilhoso sem ficar aproveite
Yakkos Sprites Would Be Great For A Yakko In Sonic 1 Hack
Winckle Yakko of animaniacs!
I like how the pink dialogue text didn't go to Pinky
These Are like those fighting arcade games
cool
this shit slapped too hard.
Why is this one didn't get referenced in the reboot, but the Genesis version did?
❤ejwis
34:05 Super Mario World Bowser boss fight reference
Can you switch Warners Siblings to lead or do you play as Yakko , while Dot and Wakko follow you?
you can indeed swap the siblings. I liked playing as Dot. :3
How do I play this game in the year 2018?
Is it possible?
T James thanks!
I feel slightly uncofortable with yakko staring deeply in my soul
Yakko: Brothers, Pinky & Brain are bad, let's try to do clean and fix the movie
Wakko & Dot: OK, Yakko
Yakko: That's we gonna do this day
*Later*
Pinky & Brain: Ah NO!!!
Animaniacs: YEAH!!!!!!
Mister of the CEO: Thanks, now I wanna see my movie
*Animaniacs movie Intro*
Mister of the CEO: This movie is so annoyin'
Yakko: That's OUR movie :)
18:10 Battletoads hoverbike reference
Who else thinks of the yoshi's island rapheal the boss level when playing this game?
Omg super wii bros for ds plus
WOW A ANIMANIACS GAME OMG
There were two of them.
26:43 Jungle Hunt reference
i cant find it on my switch snes collection :(
You won't find it, it's a licensed game, and unless Warner Bros decides to re-release it, you never will find it on the Switch.
This game gave me PTS in 94
This game has one of the earliest boss rushes I've ever seen. If there was something before that I have not seen it before. Or know what year that they came out but since it's on the SNES I'm down there being older boss Rush then the one they have an Animaniacs SNES
Gradius II arcade, Gradius III arcade, Gradius III SNES all came before this game, all had boss rushes in them.
@@Bloodreign1 I see. I think I have heard about it recently
*This Exists*
Animaniacs Video Game Series.
Chapter 2: SNES Version.
Chapter 1: Genesis version
poor wakko keeps getting left away.
the idle at 5:58
I have this game for sega genesis I wonder is it the same?
+heerah34 Nope, totally different games
What does that character slot machine at the bottom mean?
You can earn more coins, or extra lives from it. The more coins you pick up, the more chances you get at the slot machine.
3:22 Kirby reference
I completed this game, but on a Sega console in 1 hour 2 minutes
29:34 that is a jpeg image not a sprite
The snes has one hit kill. Sega genesis has 4.
There's a reason for that, the Genesis version is more puzzle based, and 1 hit kills in it wouldn't make any sense. This one is pure old school platformer, the crew here is much like a Vic Viper, another Konami reference, without a shield, a 1 hit kill. There's enough platformers out there that do 1 hit kills, especially the games in the Rocket Knight series on their hardest settings (plus 1 life on hardest settings to go with the 1 hit kills).
I cant do short stack
