I own the oculus quest aswell as the Rift S and have to say the quest is the most fun I’ve ever had on any gaming device ever. I hope they expand on this but after going wireless it’s hard to go back to tethered.

I also have Rift S and Quest 2 and almost always use Rift S at home. The same image quality, better perf. with PC, don't care about battery life.

So I picked mine up today because the minute I saw this I was very intrigued, I've used the psvr and the vive and this guy has been the most amazing vr experience ever. No having to step over wires and center yourself back in the room to make sure you're not going to step on wires, no computer and it runs so smooth. I am blown away at the experience, quality and ease of use that the quest offers. Have been shooting robots and swinging lightsabers all day and am LOVING it.
Does it have positional tracking?
@@The9cookies Positional tracking and 6dof controllers. Its basically a mobile Rift. The games take a hit in quality, but all the core gameplay is there. I've been playing it all day, its absolutely the coolest gadget I've used and this is coming from someone using VR since 2013.
Yeah, haven't really had any tracking issues out of yet yet. A few minor ones but no more than my Vive

@@hugw4567 There won't be screen door, this has the same resolution as the vive pro. Performance won't be an issue either because Oculus is making devs reach certain performance thresholds before their game is published on the store.

If Pavlov, Zero Caliber, Gorn, or Blade and Sorcery make their way onto this, I’ll for sure buy it. This looks promising though. My biggest concern for VR has been buying a PC capable of handling it. I move around too much at the moment so a laptop has always been more practical.
pavlov dev has said it is very possible, and he has a big announcement in june

@@xXSCAR117Xx I saw a thread on the steam forums asking about a quest version of pavlov and I can't remember exactly what the dev said but I remember it heavily implied a quest version is coming. I'd be hopeful.
Gorn is already on there, and Pavlov can be run on there via APK sideloading.

$400 for a vr headset that plays all the normal games but without the PC is probably the best deal I’ve ever seen
Except it runs like shit compared to a pc, the motion sensors still aren't that good, most games don't need a VR system to enjoy, the VR system still has to charge unlike a pc, and the oculus isn't anything new in the tech only a different style of the setup.
Well yes you get what you pay for, but for people who just want to have a vr headset as just something cool to play around with this would be better. It’s not perfect and definitely has flaws that will need to be worked out. but as far as VR headsets go i think this is a step in the right direction

Ok so for the people that don't know anything about this headset: it's a totally standalone headset, that means it doesn't need a pc or phone to power it, it's all in the headset itself. It has 6 degrees of freedom so you cannot only look around but also move in the virtual space, this is done by the four camera/sensors on the headset itself so it doesn't need any external sensors like previous headsets do. There are alot of good and popular games on it like beat Saber, vr chat and rec room and it costs 399 dollars....
And you can also watch porn on it lmao

i have tried out the oculus quest before at oc5 and the Hz didnt mean squat. It felt like playing the normal rift (I own a rift) but with the freedom of having no wires. I am very excited to get my quest and be able to try it everywhere and introduce it to many people.

The Oasis is an MMO on streaming, right now there ain't games that are only playable through streaming.

We need arm attachment that apply forces onto your movement, so you can receive and transmit for exemple in a sword fight.
The quest would really shine in online multiplayer games, since that processor is really weak for personal experiences (single player games), multiplayer mechanics are much more balanced and fixed

Reasons why people are disliking this video.
1: Oculus is owned by Facebook, which is known for its privacy problems, politics, and/or censorship.
2: Mobile graphics. (When they fail to realize that VR is all about experiences and not AAA graphics)
3: They don't like standalone VR and prefer PCVR because PC is all they care about.
Just accept what we have and deal with this awesome piece of tech!

Agree! Oculus was awesome till Facebook purchased them and told me I had to sign up for Facebook to view Oculus! Needless to say that didn't and won't ever happen! So all I can say is Go F yourself Facebook!
@@M_Ladd I dont have a face book acount and I can still use all oculus services. They just made the facebook sign in bigger and the oculus sigh in small to the point that you did notices it.
