I finally set up a small permanent altar space to The Morrigan in my new flat, during which, I was asking her what an appropriate first offering there might be (I have two black marble egg cups on there for small offerings), and what followed was the most intense and painful week or so of self-growth and confronting of traumas that was necessary if I was going to go forward on an earthy, practical level in my life; the main thing that keeps coming to me, when I ask what I can give her, is "give me where you've been", which is not ambiguous to me as a CPTSD survivor and someone who cronically and habitually eliminates on my past; it seems to me that the place she wants to take in my life and recovery is as victor over my traumas and past; I believe she wants my cooperation in closing the loop; I still offer things in my egg cups, but she wants my battles and victories; one image she's given me is that I'm a "dead" body she wants to pick clean so that I can be reborn -- it both hurts and heals

      oops, "eliminates" should be "ruminates"

I very much have the same feeling that what The Morrigan wants the most is that I win my personal battles and get over my self sabotage. She also wants me to sing "her battle songs".

I came to this video after months of seeing three ravens. I kept half jokingly asking “what does it mean!?” until I heard of The Morrigan. I keep getting cards of letting go of the past and breaking free from rumination and lost as to how to proceed. (Also have CPTSD.) Then I see this video and your comment and feel so relieved I’m not alone (or out of my mind!). Thank you for sharing it has helped give me some clarity on The Morrigan.

I truly felt when you said ,” get out of my head and vocally speak up for her” I am learning more about her. I am half Irish from my mothers side. For years I’ve been told she’s in my spiritual court. I can definitely see the signs clear as day. For once both sides of my ancestors want to work together and help me!

i didn't really know what to do but... i went out for a short hike to one of my favourite hilltops where i get to take a little winding path through some woods. there is a small water source there in a natural "grove" that i love. I decided before i went that i would leave some kind of offering there.
I was focusing on the Morrigan the whole day. I wanted to take ownership and control of my life, and stop wasting so much time. I wanted to become more disciplined.
I sat at the little grove spot for a while eating my lunch and thinking. I considered to myself that I should grow comfortable... with discomfort. accept that life requires hard work and facing head on.
A cold wind began to buffet me despite the trees, as though in answer to my thoughts. I determined then (and again later on the hilltop) to not shy away from the cold air but to accept it as a fact of life and not something to be avoided.
I found, half-buried in the grass, a flat stone about the length of my foot and width of my hand. It seemed perfect for what i had in mind. i hadn't really known what kind of offering to make but i had brought dark chocolate and milk with me, 2 things which i enjoy a lot. the dark chocolate is great for walks since it's so full of energy, not to mention mood boosters.
I decided to leave 1 square of the chocolate for her on the stone just in front of the water source, and circled it with a little of my milk. I then continued to the top of the hill where i sat, allowing the cold wind to chill my skin as I looked out over the valley and felt very peaceful.
A black bird flew past me as I was again thinking on the Morrigan. I knew she often takes the form of a crow but I didn't know how to tell between crows, ravens, and blackbirds, so i didn't know if it was her... but sure enough once i looked up crow images later that day i realised it had been a crow.
I've never seen birds up on that hill, much less crows.
lo and behold just 2 days later i get a message from my friend that this potential job opening is finally becoming a reality after more than a year. a really great opportunity - but a LOT of hard work and fears for me to face.
you must understand... i've stayed in this COMFORTABLE job i have now for far too long. i almost hoped this opportunity didn't work out. i was studying for it but... not anywhere near as hard as i could.
but it seems obvious. i HAVE to jump on it. my "new" life is there for the taking.
so now i want to make another offering to say thank yo!

I often wonder if the Morrígan was sending me signs from childhood to make a contract with her. Only recently have I had clear communications from her. (My life has been riddled with abuse, and struggle from a very young age.)
Upon hearing her call, and having clear signs from the crows, I’ve made it a daily practice to take a walk, first thing in the morning, to the river to make an offering. I usually use natural things that I find during my walk. Not always, but most times, her crows will greet me at the river.
I’ve constructed a deity altar with quite a large portion in her honor.
I have a harder time speaking up for myself, as a result of being hurt and silenced in my youth. I too feel the Morrígan calls on me to be more vocal, and bold. It’s a bit of a struggle because I’ve always been shy.
I’m learning a lot from your videos, and I’m truly grateful for the information.

Lora. This is day 1 of trying to determine my future with the Morrigan. I have been watching a lot of your videos, and you finally answered my main question: would the Morrigan expect me to work with tools and structured rituals? After this video, I feel that answer is definitely in how I approach things. This has given me confidence to truly give this my all.

I've collected a fair amount of crow feathers for offerings and decorations to my staff which I carved from manzanita wood. And they've offered up the feathers themselves willingly, taking it out when they're malting or not and dropping them at the step of my RV or right at my feet if I'm out walking my dogs and I always say good morning to them and feed them berries and leftover meat that we don't finish. And the red tail Hawks that live in the oak right in front of us have a strange relationship with the crows where some days they can share the same tree and another they're wrestling in the sky. Ironically on those same days I usually have some internal problem solving to do so I find it amusing when I see them at odds. They never wound each other, they just lock claws and flap wings at each other and the crow usually flies off and comes back a bit later and the hawk doesn't care.

Question about leaving alcohol or even food. Do you leave a full wine glass of wine or shot of whiskey and if any food what type of portions? if so how often? Every morning I make tea for both of us, light a candle and read about the Lore. And at night i have whisky for her and turn on a battery tea light.

You've recently spent a lot of time with an American. We're contagious and it's probably why you're saying right so much. When I was staying with my sister it only took a few days before someone asked if she had an American in the house. She started by mimicking me to tease me because I kept calling everything cute. She then started saying it on her own 😆

i am a Brigid person myself (i am very new to this though, please don't drag me too hard lol), and although she has a very different energy than what transpires about the Morrigan, there does seem to be a similarity, conceptually, about the type of things she wants/likes me to do?? she likes offerings of song and dance but will also push me to Make Things, like cook, or do "crafts" (???), or, right now, i am actually trying to learn a musical instrument, lol... and these are things that are challenging to me because i struggle a LOT with executive dysfunction from ADHD and other stuff. she doesn't push me to do things that are clearly out of my reach, and she's rather gentle (although she will ruthlessly make fun of me, but in a good natured way, lol), and i feel like she even actually somewhat helps me with these things (in general, and when they're dedicated to her in particular) - but still she appreciates more when i do things that are challenging to me and i have to put in effort.
am i making sense? does that line up with your knowledge/experience or am i imagining things? lol

    • @minoena
      @minoena 4 роки тому

Erika Miozzi i work with both but brigid is my patron goddess. lol she’s always been pretty gentle with me. i get what you’re talking about though. i’m definitely a creative person type you know, but i’m often finding myself weighed down by other things and thus avoid doing anything. but having the encouragement of her is lovely! i used to write nothing but depressing poetry but now i write beautiful things. she has shown me time after time there is kindness in the world. (but personally i have issues having an opinion and speaking up etc and now i’m here lol.)
but at the end of the day, i’ll always be hers

    • @mst3kharris

I’m also Brigid-aligned, and I’ve always had the sense She wants to see what I can do with my skills and talents. However, I turned around recently, saw the Morrigan watching me, and just about fell over. She felt much more… intense.

I work with The Morrigan and Queen Maeve (Medb?) as well. Queen Maeve wanting you to drink is also part of my experience as well for the few times I have done work with her. My family comes from Connaught (used to before immigrating not sure if we still do or not though) so she has always seemed to be a presence I am to acknowledge. If I remember you mentioned The Morrigan also having a connection to Connaught as well (isn't her cave there and also the birth place of Queen Maeve?)
As far as alcoholic offerings especially for The Morrígan, I typically do Cassis lambic beer. It isn't easy to get in the U.S. and is a bit costly when i can find it (as it is still illegal to grow black currants in the states). I have to get it from another state even as the shops don't sell it in my state for some reason. I find The Morrigan appreciates it and the effort it takes. I also do bourbon/whiskey every so often as well.
Other than that everyday I always light a candle, try to meditate, and talk to Herself. I try to do more personal offerings when I can. I am working on integrating a daily devotional and figuring out what is feasible. Your videos have been invaluable to me.
I think I need to delve deeper into the lore and such.

Hi, i'm quite new to Mórrígan and i have been questioning if there are any tips for "closeted" witches? What can i do to stable a relationship with her?
Also, i'm not irish myself, i'm actually from México and i have this thought if it's right for me to reach for her since i have some situations were i think i felt her presence before, Does she rech out to non irish people?
I think i found my place in Celtic paganism and i would like some advices.
