196.1 is a great day. We did 192 miles in a day going from Bonaire to Columbia and we were flying. Love the daily updates of conditions, distance, struggles. Good to see how crossings really happen. Keep it up.

Absolutely fabulous episode guys ‼️ 🎉 196.1km and 8 +/- km/h. These are some amazing numbers, OMG 😱 WOW.‼️ Yet the best part of your Pacific series is your attitudes.🙌🏻 There is hope for my bride. 😊 See you next time. ✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨

Another great video looks like you are working hard but it all looks good. I was wondering what speed wind is the best for you? Clearly you are using all your options and making it work. What a great adventures. Enjoy and be safe always

Thank you! The best wind speed depends on a few things- the big blue spinnaker we like to use in 10-15kn, but if we’re using a smaller headsail like our jib 15-20kn is ideal! Sea state has played a big role for us lately, it’s hard to keep light winds in our sails when we’re rolling around this much, so we’ve been hoping for closer to 20kn. ⛵️

Concerning having to use the main with the head sail why not just crank down on the topping lift should do the same thing.

Nice video! Our max 24 hr mileage crossing the Atlantic was 186. You guys have done much better. I too am frustrated about Lagoon's policy regarding having the mainsail up (even with three reefs) while flying a headsail. Have considered running backstays, there are Lagoons that have sailed the Atlantic with no mainsail up. Again, thanks for the video.

It wasn’t a policy when we bought the boat, Sabado crossed the Atlantic headsail only, but we are rule followers… considering adding running back stays during our next refit. Thanks for watching! Always love hearing from fellow goonies 😉
