    Why don’t you play both the packages?

      I play both, melffy is much more effective.

      I really like the follow-up that Toad offers, and you're giving up I:P>S:P if you're playing the Melffy cards. Also makes you run some more going 1st cards that aren't amazing to draw going 2nd. You can run them both if you really want to, but in your matches, ask yourself if the Melffy cards are doing well both going 1st and 2nd when you draw them. (Could they have been better used if they were... board breakers? Hand traps? Utility in the ED in the case of Melffy of the Forest and Arc Light?)

      @theorangegriffin7531 Well, my deck is different. My end board has iblee, and I use the melffy package to bounce monsters back to hand to keep the iblee lock. In my case, the melffy package is more effective.

    The Quarter Century Gigantic and Sprind are beautiful, nice pick up 🙏
    Melffys have served us well since the ronin ban but its time to retire them for now, handy to have for when we got into a format where arc lights banish effect comes up more though !

      Thank you! Should definitely consider giving in to maxing out your deck as well ;)

    I also think the right thing to do is to cut the Melffys, but unfortunately I don't have the S:P, do you think it's worth just using the Frog engine and doing the Unicorn's I:P?

    • @theorangegriffin7531
      @theorangegriffin7531  5 місяців тому

      Tbh, you could even consider running Melffys alongside the Frog stuff if you don't have S:P. Unicorn doesn't feel as good, and if you summon Melffy of the Forest at the end of your combo instead of I:P, it's almost just as good.

    Hey, I am new in the Spright business. Thanks for your videos. Finally I find a channel for Sprights. What is the next best target for I:P, if I can't afford a S:P?

    • @theorangegriffin7531
      @theorangegriffin7531  5 місяців тому

      Welcome! I'd say probably Unicorn for I:P. Hard to replace S:P otherwise though, because you'll find yourself wanting to remove some cards off the field on your turn after locking yourself with Gigantic/Starter, and obviously Unicorn can't be used in those scenarios. You can use Phoenix or Cerberus instead in those cases, but that's adding in like 3 ED monsters for the space of 1. You also -1 in hand for each of those monsters, and you don't get S:P's second effect to banish 2 off the field, which is very useful. Unicorn would still be the next best thing though.
      EDIT: I just left this comment under another comment, and I'll leave it here as well.

      @@theorangegriffin7531 thanks for your answer. I also think that the additional melffy package is a good idea to replace S:P, maybe just in the side deck for going first.

    Do you have a line that can do Djinn Buster instead of IP? I own SP and IP but I have friends who are new to spright that don't own sp and don't line unicorn as a replacement

    • @theorangegriffin7531

      You need to hard draw Beaver and either Blue/Starter or Swap+a water monster. Make Sprind first instead of Gigantic.
      Beaver summons Angler, link into Sprind, Sprind dumps Angler, Angler summons 2 Beavers. Beavers make Gigantic. Gigantic summons either Swap or Blue (whatever you don't have). Swap makes Toad, Blue and Jet make Djinn. You play into Nib really hard doing this, and you need to draw well, so I don't recommend it.

    Sick pick up with the QCRs. I got mine coming in the mail. Hopefully we won't be needing a 3rd Gigantic and second Sprind soon 😅
    This is an interesting discussion. I feel like both packages could work in a 60 card deck, but I'm not sure why you'd play Spright as a 60 card deck next format. It's probably best to just not play the Melffies.
    I'm curious how you feel about Runick Spright with the Swap Frog package.

    • @theorangegriffin7531
      @theorangegriffin7531  5 місяців тому +1

      Spright already has difficulties getting 2 2's to start with, especially with the non-engine cards that the deck runs. A 60 card deck sounds a bit like a nightmare.
      Runick Spright sounds fine, especially with 3 Anglers. The issue with the other engines, as always (Live Twin, Tri-Brigade) in my mind has always been that you don't have the space for non-engine, and so going 2nd is always a little more tough. Runick Spright at least answers some of those with the removal from the Runick cards.
      Enjoy your new shiny cards when they come!
