I can say that I have never met a soul mate of any kind in my 46 years of life. I have had friends and a closeness to a couple of people related/unrelated but no way have they ever been regarded as absolute soul mates. Now as to the lovers thing, it would be a waste of time being with someone in my view who isn't a soul mate. If there's no friendship there then the relationship will fizzle out. I don't ever want to be in another partnership that will turn out to be a complete waste of time and an absolute disaster either. I want a partnership to feel right, compatible and lifelong.
