Hey Guys! Today's video is on my 3 Cash Envelope Wallets and how they are setup for my cash system. I use them for spending, fun saving, and sinking funds. Are you currently using cash envelopes? How do you use them?
I have been doing my best with cash envelopes. It is about consistency and during these times it's been trying. So I am getting back into them
I have a mix of daily spending and sinking funds. I just made 12 new envelopes today and put them in my mini happy planner. I know you love the disc system too so you could also throw them in a disc planner. But I also have the personal A6 and the same zippered envelopes. They just get a little bulky overtime.

Chic take on envelopes !
I keep it simple with post-it sticky notes and colored paper clips around cash categories in the side pocket of my wallet, ditto for sorting receipts from different cards in the inner pockets, and cash receipts in the last outside pocket. My spending is fairly minimal.

started my cash envelope system last may and so far so good. :) was able to save and clear up some debts. i can say it has really developed discipline in me when it comes to my finances.
Her trying to avoid calling those labels obnoxious "so I didn't have to write them in" like girl we know those bright colored labels are loud and obnoxious 🤣

I am Australian are rarely use cash anymore. Especially since Covid-19 hit, stores always prefer contactless payment than their staff handling cash. On a trip to the US a few years ago I was surprised when the cashier wanted to compare my signature to that on my card. We no longer sign our cards at all but use pin numbers for security.
I’m an Aussie too. I haven’t used cash since COVID started and wasn’t using it often before that. When I heard about these cash envelopes I thought it was quaint and old-fashioned.
Very similar in the UK - lots of places I go to say they are cashless now and only accept cards
It happens in some places in the US, as well. That is where the cv/envirotyrants want to go...so they can control how you spend...or whether you are allowed to spend.
Same situation in Italy where we have to use debit or credit cards. I found a rechargeable debit card that allows me to create envelops and every week they are filled from my bank. As I need the money I switch it from envelope to card and pay. It helps me to reach the goals.
Dang...what the heck is going on in Australia? Everything about the country has gone exponentially bonkers! (Present company excluded)!!

I love the idea of keeping a tracker in each of the individual envelopes! Right now I'm going to use this system strictly for my variable expenses, as I'm still new to this system and I don't want to overwhelm myself too much right off the bat.

I do this with variable expenses such as my dog. $232/month. The tracker is a sheet of bond paper folded lengthwise. It shows credits, debits and the balance.
So glad for this video. I have a similar 6 ring wallet and currently using the laminated cash envelopes I found on Etsy over a year ago. I hole punch my registers and keep them in front of the envelope

Love this idea. I had all of mine in a Dave Ramsey wallet and unfortunately, with everything going into one wallet, by the end of the year (some of the expenses I save for are yearly), it won't even close (lots of singles in there) and then the tracker (which is the actual envelope) portion of the paper envelope fills up as you document what you've put in there. I'm going to switch to the individual wallets like you're showing. Also, still have to set up my TUL planner, but I sometimes get confused with your videos even though I don't need some of the sections that you have. I need to focus on getting mine set up for my situation and lifestyle.

Hi hun question. I wanted to know. These days everyone gets pay on their banks card. Do you add up everything and then draw it out from your card.take it out then add it to your envelopes.

Hi, do you feel this system would be just as effective if I just use the trackers without the cash? I’ve never been consciously comfortable carrying a lot of cash around.
Most people don’t carry all of their envelopes - they transfer what they expect to use before they leave the house, which also helps to curb impulse purchases.

I think I know what you mean! I RARELY use cash because I'm currently trying to build credit, but cash envelopes have always intrigued me. I'm thinking of trying this but moving the actual cash out of the corresponding pocket (ex. food) into a "spent" pocket or something like that, so I can still visually see the money has moved. The only problem I can see is you HAVE to be disciplined to record every single time you spend and actually move that money out. But hey, nothing wrong with building better habits, right? :)
@@keikof9188 I’m willing to wager that if your family income is $60k/year, you can account for $50k spending. This is why I recommend the new cash stuffers begin with a "Where does my money?" spreadsheet.
