This is exactly how I manage my workload. I have one Goal and my "tasks" are objectives. I find that for my mental clarity, calling them objectives makes steps less daunting and overwhelming. The way my mind works, I will experience burnout quickly. TFS!

I love this idea! I might have to try it out myself. You're absolutely right: "objectives" seems more achievable because it's something we want/need, where as "tasks" can make things overwhelming and cause us to not be motivated to get them done.

I always hear “just break tasks down into bite sized chunks” but this video was the first time I actually UNDERSTAND what that actually MEANS! Thank you!!

Alaina, I love, love, love this video. You detail your process so clearly, it makes me believe my goals are within reach if I break them down into similar projects and tasks! Thank you for this much needed tutorial!

This is soooo helpful! I have a separate goal book that I use I’ve been wanting to incorporate it into my planner but wasn’t sure how to. Thanks!

This system makes so much sense. Thanks for sharing! I’d love to see how else you use your brain dump book and why you chose to have it as a separate book instead of a section in your planner. I look forward to your videos, always such helpful content in learning organizing/budgeting/planning systems. Great work!

This was SO helpful! I hear so much about goals and projects but I've never been clear about how to apply them to all the things I need to manage in my life. This video gave me lots of useful ideas. Seeing the way you sort your thoughts and break them down has made a huge difference to me. I'm so much calmer even my hubby has noticed!

As a writer, it is imperative that I break my goals down into actionable steps. For example, in September of this year I'd self-published my first fiction novella. I initially came up with the idea in December of 2019, so there were several phases involved in the release of my book. I had to come up with the story idea; then break that idea down into scenes and combine those scenes into chapters; then re-read the multiple drafts I'd written, and edit the drafts; send it to beta readers and ARC readers; learn how to submit a manuscript to Kindle's publishing program...etc., etc. Oh! And the marketing/promoting. That was an entire goal in and of itself!
Thank you for breaking down the Goals/Projects/Tasks element of the process - that was super helpful for me!

@@melanieannplans2666 I have recently discovered her. I also watch Sarra Cannon's channels. One is Heart Breathings, which is planner-specific, but she also talks a bit about her writing. Mostly she puts planner reviews, Plan-with-Me's, and flip-throughs on Heart Breathings.
