Galtymore via Lough Corra - Hiking in the Galtys, Ireland

A good long walk up to the top of Galtymore, passing by Lough Corra on the way. Some parts of this route were challenging enough so a moderate level of fitness would be needed if you wanted to try it yourself.

Done this today without any planning I followed the posts up after the stile all the way up to lough Curra and didn’t see any route up from there went back but will definitely follow this next time

You can go up the grass gully at the bottom right hand corner of the lake

Yeah I did see a group of men make their way up their shortly after I started on the screa slope. I had no idea it was there

@@aronking5977 you’re lucky you didnt go to the galtymore style. I went there a couple of weeks ago and climbed straight up the north face of galtymore. The hardest thing i have ever done in my life. Its absolutely relentless
