Tipperary’s highest point - Galtymore Guide

- Today’s hike is Co. Tipperary and Co. Limerick’s highest point , Galtymore . This is a moderate hike and a reasonable fitness level is necessary if you want to enjoy it . Hiking boots would be useful and some areas can be marshy when you go off path .. No navigation is needed however and you should familiarise yourself with the area before you go . You should be up and down in under 5 hours . The video will show you how to get there and what to expect 🙂👌

@@briandoolan7167 Brian, I actually did Galtybeg & Galtymore on Tuesday inspired by your video, it's been a while since I was in that neck of the woods. Thanks for pushing me😄 Coming from the north I took junction 19 off the M7 and then junction 11 off the M8. Very windy on the mountains, but fantastic views.

@@briandoolan7167 its longer than the cork side but 2-3 hrs I think..or course i tried cross country as a newbie.. good time..but my legs fell off

Completed this route in torrential rain with just about zero visibility yesterday, we were the only ones on the whole mountain, a great day regardless of conditions.
It’s a rough spot when the cloud is down .. And it can get very cold so well done!
