Tantric(Esoteric/Metaphysics) tamil as per ancient tamils:
note: to know & experience this below things, one must stop eating meat food and begin to meditate daily for some time, be calm at all situations etc.
we say உயிர் எழுத்து (uyir ezhuththu) ie vowels.
we say மெய் எழுத்து ( mei ezhuththu) ie consonants.
uyir means consciousness(Aanmaa or Aatmaa) or Sentient. (The Knower)
mei means body or that which is insentient, a nonliving thing. (The Known)
hence the very make of language itself is to meditate, discriminate with the
intellect(Buddhi) about the exact nature of "IAMness" or Self that arises in the
body.
tamil tantric says self is not objective or insentient, non living thing but
is formless and pure awareness/subjective.
this has to be realized by following the moral principles. !
we say in tamil 'kadavul'. kada = transcend. vul = ullam, consciousness.
means "go inside yourself". it was once actually a serious instruction to a
disciple by his siddhar guru.
but these things are lost now.

note: animals can only pronounce ah, maah, ooh, eeh. humans can
pronounce consonants too.
now u can understand the significance of language in human's evolution of
consciousness which as an effect , expresses itself through the ability to
