Is there enough information in the historical sources for a series or maybe at least a long form video on the life of Marcus Agrippa? I know there's not as much about him as there is on most emperors or even some praetorian prefects, plus the fact that he seemed to prefer staying in the background. Anyway, love the channel and really appreciate your dedication to the details.
I think one of the largest flaws of M. Tulius Cicero was that he supported Pompey Magnus in his early carrier during "campaign" against pirates. It's sometimes weird to me how Optimates didn't understand that militarism and republicanism (although Roman Republic was more of a parliamentary oligarchy) don't co-exist peacefully together. Mary Beard makes good point when she writes that rise of Pompey is actually rise of first imperator. A lot of blame for collapse of Roman Republic and old-fashioned Catonian values definetely belongs to aristocratic families and senators. Cicero was an excellent philosopher and rhetoretician, but he was also undoubteldy greedy. In his letters to Atticus you can read about his obsession with expensive trivialities and luxury. It's one of the reasons why more disciplined and straightminded folks such as Octavian rose to power. They enjoyed their prestige after they eliminated all of their opponents, not before.
I love how in depth this is.
Well done ! Very well done 👏👏👏👏👏
Hey bud, you uhhh… put the boogie fight in the playlist. Looking forward to watching this by the way!

I’m sure there is enough information on the guy. I’ll take a look into it.
Beautiful, thank you!!! Any chance you can do Sulla and Marius? It’s remarkably hard to find good documentaries on them!
Perhaps...we shall see!
