Hello i just put my led lights on i had to do the same thing take out the whole assembly. Thanks for letting me know about the extra bolt under the storage unit thanks again
I think it would have been a heck of a lot easier if you would have just pulled the whole headlight assembly out. Two screws on either side of the frunk lid would have released the frunk and three additional screws would have released the headlight assembly. That's what I did and the whole project took about 20 minutes,
I used the T2 series. I can say that for anyone with the European version of the Ryker (Europe, NZ, Aus) the left hand side is the most difficult with the placement of the wiring loom that includes the additional low beam light pods - it needs to be released and moved aside to complete the task easier. I didn't need to remove the headlights on either side but it is definitely a fiddly job and better suited to small hands and / or nimble fingers! And ensure you have a good mental picture of the correct orientation of the bulb in the housing before inserting it as you will pretty much be performing this task blind so to speak.
I love your channel. I think you should give us a 1, 2, or 3 bare feet up on difficulty of installation. Just my 2 cents. I am proud to see your subs moving up.
Hi, Joe from SF here. Good video. Got my new 900 today. So fun. Gonna install my new heads lights tomorrow. Is it common for the Ryker to smell like burning plastic? Cant tell if its because it's new, or just has alot of plastic fittings. Hope it's not overheating.
Hi Joe from SF!!! Congratulations on your new toy! You’re gonna have so much fun on it. Yes a brand new bike will have a burning smell as well as some smoke too! This is the breaking in. And might last up to the first 500 miles. It is totally normal! PS are you planning on driving it on Lombard Street? Lol
dont worry about the s word. just started to watch a video where they compare the 900 to the rally. 900 and every other word was either MF. or the n word..don’t know what that language have to do with the comparison
You started doing this just after riding? Seriously, and your husband didnt caution you that the bulbs would be hot? You should have done some research. I replaced my headlights with LEDS A FEW MONTHS AGO, A DIFFERENT ONE ON EACH SIDE. No one can tell the difference, and I know by watching the first minute of your Video that you did it the hardest way that you could. You should have watched all the online videos that you could find ti make it easy on your self. It took me about 10 minutes per side to swap them out. I got tired of those orange glows from the stock lights. In watching more, you should have placed the lamps in place then put the dust boots on and finished the install. It is not necessary to remove the head light at all ! If you had placed the bulb in the lamp assembly the finished the install you should have been able to do it in no more than 30 minutes. Oh and I paid between 6 and 10 bucks each on a chinese website I bought a bunch and still have about 12 H4 high "ultra high output" lamps. Sorry, I neglected to tell you that I like your video, it's well done and better than several others that I have watched. I have two other Spyders, 2008 GS and 2014 STS, but the Ryker is just a big toy for me i bought almost every upgrade for it except for the front bar. I swapped out a twin QC charger with Volt meter for the stock dual USB charger. I have swapped out the Lamps for LEDs and added bright white LED fog lamps in the front that has the capability of strobing with the flick of a switch. I'm also looking at adding LEDs in the back. Keep up the good work, beware and have fun!
@@giovannam925 well, Wish. but they work... I carry a few extras.. I used 2 different designs, just to see if there were any differences. But I'm taking a few extra of the one that I like to Daytona with me. They both are brighter than the halogen that were stock, AND orange...lol
Thankyou so much for this video! We tried to do like sling mods way and could not clear enough to get new light in… went your way and super easy!!
Great to hear! Ps don’t forget to shop on my website RykerRydes.com first! 😊
Today's the day I do the Led light change-out. Coming back to your video for instructions.
Mission Accomplished!!!!
GREAT JOB!!!
See, now that’s the review/how to, that I like to see. Honest. Plus I just love checking out what other people are doing to personalise their Rykers.

Thanks for the detailed and very helpful comment!! Cheers
The length heat sink/fan assembly on the Beamtech is actually slightly less than that of the T2.
Thanks. That's interesting, thanks for sharing and for watching/

Great suggestion! This install was 3 bare feet up, way up!! lol
How did you get that clip off the rim of the bulb

@@RykerRydes I'll totally hit Lombard street. & I love how the bike automatically slows down on steep hills. Perfect for the terrain I drive on.
@@Goats_ That's so cool! I wish Florida had hills! I love SF, so beautiful! Enjoy!
Jeez🤦🏾♂️. I'm gonna get mine done at the dealership lol
