No need to panic. You probably have friends, right? Text them and ask if they want to hang out and go do something outside. Find a common hobby or build something together. Or just simply take a walk and talk about each other. Make sure to delete youtube from your phone from time to time and simply do nothing.
When I decided to quit social media two years ago, I did it because of the data collection at facebook. I decided to log back in a few months later after I quit and let me tell you- nobody even wrote a single message. Nobody noticed I was gone. A lot of friends became so irrelevant. I suddenly realized that what was happening on my social media had nothing to do with the things that happened in real life. I was upset, but also felt enlightened. All these people on social media putting on a facade that had nothing in common with their real life made me value my own life more. I didn't need to show anyone how great my day was or how cool of a car I have, because nobody cared anyway. I was simply happy with what I had and didn't feel the need to tell anyone about it. That's when social media no longer had relevance in my life.
Well, I would somehow disagree with you. Internet is a double edge weapon. In which you can either use it for your benefit (Business, classes, courses, information, etc.). On the other hand, it is completely addictive and abusing to your physical, mental and financial financial health (Porn, news, pessimism, cat videos etc.). I would suggest to set a schedule for you on the internet like 30-60 minutes a bi-weekly. Invest this time to expand your knowledge and cope with the racing world. Good luck mate
I'm bummed by the fact that you haven't received more traction for the quality stuff you out out. Great stuff, if that hasn't been said enough by others! May the algorithms bless thee!
Dude, super helpful ideas even today! Step 4, honestly it's never crossed my mind that just starting my day that way would really help set me up for success through the day! I struggle with ADHD, so anything I can do to help myself NOT get distracted is hugely helpful!✌️
I genuinely enjoy your videos, and your ideas are truly inspiring. Many people from around the world follow you, and to ensure that everyone can fully grasp the content, professional translation is crucial. Best wishes to you!
The extensions are useful but it's better to generate willpower by not engaging in the addicting parts of social media by yourself, it's really hard to do but it's worth it
eradicator extension added...facebook app uninstalled...forest app not compatible with my device so I found another app to block all my social media accounts for a specific amount of time THANKYOU FOR THIS AWESOME VIDEO
Recently discovered "kill news feed" chrome extension, which does exactly as it says. I like the idea of one you suggested better as it adds a quote for the day. Thanks for sharing!
I come to the idea of quiting social media at least for a year and want to see myself transforms to a better version of me. Thanks for making this video. Inspires me a lot 😊😊😊
I deactivated my facebook account for a month now and its one of the best decision I've ever done in my life. Great content, byt the way! :) Love from Philippines.
2:43 This is Schrödinger's comment...only not really. Great video, I love your humor you put in. It makes sure the viewer isn't just passively listening, excellent way to make sure you have people's full attention. I do it in conversation all the time. You wouldn't believe what flies over people's heads when they aren't actively listening!
i was addicted to facebook and instagram. i just got bored with that scrolling same memes. just have whatsapp and messenger for chating and interacting.
I’m tired of social media. I would like to delete all of my social media (today I’ve deleted Instagram);and enjoy more the real life. Take more advantage of my time! It’s frustrating because I delete my Instagram account and few hours later I open it again. And it’s a waste of time. Life was better when I was a child, enjoying in the streets playing football with my friends. Social media are for people who is narcissistic.
I know i spend too much time on twitter sometimes but i don't want to delete it bc of the people I met there, I really need to control myself.. Anyway thank you for the video!
What should I do ? I can't delete insta because it's where I get to know all about where my friends are, for example when some who are living abroad come into the country. It's just... deleting insta would be kind of isolating myself socially, because I have lived in different locations and my network is wide, and insta is the best to keep up with it. The downside is I'm wasting a lot of time trying to catch with everything. Maybe I should do so cleaning, essentially filtering by only keeping the people who matter to me, and unfollowing the others. That would a good way to have much much less storys and posts to check out! This probably sounds silly, I was writing this comment to ask a question and I already thought of the answer, I don't even know if I should post this comment
You could call them instead, that way you keep more contact with them rather than watching them from a corner 😃 Also, if you want to watch pictures of them, tell them to send them to you
Agh! it`s really hard to break a habit... But, yeah I`ll try your advice. And, can you also give an advice how to stop communicating using these app (ykw I mean) I can`t just delete them, I dont know. I hope you can give tips about it. Thanks
Thank you for this practical balanced information until I make friends in real time and possibly delete it permanently but its good to know thuat i dont have to quit cold turkey lol
Better Ideas thank you!! you've made my day 💞💞 and just so you know, thanks to your video, I have cut down almost half of my time on gadgets. Btw, I'll be sitting for a big exam this December. Wish me luck!
There are countless studies that have come out within the last few years on the reality of internet addiction (a quick Google Scholar search will land you a plethora of info-rich results). Since people tend to spend anywhere from 30-70% of their internet time on social media sites, it become quite easy to draw a line between addiction (or addictive like, impulsive behaviors) and social media itself. All statistics set aside, your millage may vary - it's a bigger problem for some people than others. Either way, thanks for your comment, and thanks for watching!
YOU CAN'T IMAGINE MY SOCIAL MEDIA ADDICTION WITH PINTEREST AND INSTA RIGHT NOW! I FEEL LIKE THIS IS STOPPING ME FROM EVERYTHING I WANT AND HAVE TO DO
