Usman Nurmagomedov (born April 17, 1998), is a Russian mixed martial artist currently competing in the Lightweight division of Bellator. He has previously competed in the UAE Warriors and Eagle Fighting Championship (then Gorilla Fighting Championship). He is the younger brother of UFC fighter Umar Nurmagomedov and a cousin of former UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.[1] As of April 11, 2022, he is #1 in the Bellator Lightweight Rankings.[2]

Yeah you can't compare to Khabib. He was the first one to move to America and UFC couldn't speak English and had not much of support infrastructure around him, he was already an elite fighter but with no name and in a totally new country. These younger generation of elite fighters coming through already have a name being from Dagestan and Khabib's team members and his family. As a Muslim myself I can tell you Muslim in general because of our cultures and religion we are very big on being around our community, Khabib must have had a hard time to be on his own at the start in America. But these new Dagestani fighters have big Muslim contingent all around them. Khabib paved the way for them.

I feel like Bellator is overtaking the UFC as the best of the best.. Pitbull knocked Chandler silly, so the UFC signs him. Since making the move to the UFC Chandler has carried a lot of hype, but honestly he hasn't shown a lot of hope. Is that really a step up in Competition? I would love to see a champion vs champion tournament to see if the UFC is really better than Bellator!
