Kong toys are the best mines 8 month he rips every toy. Kong brand is amazing avoid ROPE toys they can digest the strings and it’s bad. Also best food I’ve done hours of research is Zignature. Abril Cabrera the brand Blue Buffalo puppy food is great but kinda expensive. but it’s worth it if you want your new pup to get the healthy nutritious food in their bodies and not chemical harmful food . also be aware that the pup doesn’t know you and their environment. so they might not eat due to being anxious or shy! but it’s normal and just needs some to get used to you and his new home :)

Hey Mike, she’s a cutie. My miniature Schnauzer Max just turned 1 in August. It’s funny because my wife wanted him but I didn’t, yet we are like 2 peas in a pod and he’s super close to me. They are the sweetest, loyal breed you’ll find. Once you get past that potty training stage it will be a breeze. Not too mention, she will eventually get her menstrual cycle so I’m sure that’ll be an adventure. I potty trained my dog with the Potty Apartment by Modern Puppies.its a cage, that has a separation. One side is their bedroom the other side is the bathroom. My dog still uses it if it’s raining outside and we can’t walk him. Best wishes.

I named all my schnauzers based on food; Blanche and her babies: Pepper, Truffle, Royce and Crumpy. These dogs are extremely affectionate, playful, smart, protective and brave. She won't stop biting even after 6 months because of teething so you may want to put away those shoes into safety. They're easy to teach but can get stubborn if you're not assertive. :)
Our schnauzer Meischa passed of Mitrol Valve disease last year. She was 13 years old. I miss her every day and will forever love schnauzers! I'm hooked for life they are the sweetest dogs and so loyal!

she's teething, before you know it, you will realize you did not adopt a puppy, but more of a new baby, they do not last long, spend as much time you can with her, read up on the things you can not feed her

mini schnauzers are the best. i had a girl for 11 years, she recently passed about a month ago. she's the best dog (and only dog) i've ever had. they really attach themselves to you and you definitely won't forget them. they have such funny personalities too. my dog, inga, was really sassy and funny. she was all the way until the end too.

I got my min schnauzer puppy 2 years ago. She’s so easy to train and so protective. Intelligent. My puppy had crazy eyes as a puppy for so long!! Always biting with the crazy eyes. But she’s mellowed out. I have to exercise her 3 times a day so she stays happy. She knows so many tricks

I so enjoyed watching your video on your new pup, she is gorgeous. I had a mini but unfortunately she developed cushions disease. Eventually I had to have her put down it broke my heart. That was 5 years ago. I would dearly love another mini, they are funny, very intelligent and so loyal and Ioving, problem it's my age I will be 91 next year. Enjoy your beautiful new friend. Schnauzers are a beautiful breed, they have the best temperament, are very smart and loyal and want to be friends with everyone. I miss my Levi so much (that was his name). Your little one is such a cutie and will bring you so much happiness. But be warned, they chew on everything when they're puppies. I remember coming home and mine had chewed through a new pair of flip flops lol. I'm looking forward to getting another little schnauzer very soon. Can't wait.
It doesn't get better than a Miniature Schnauzer. They're not for "first-time-doggy-owners"; they're tough! Miniature Schnauzer's are the only breed I've had my entire life. I'm on Schnauzer number 3 at the moment. The first 2 years are the hardest, but they're amazing. Good luck! Janine

Best breed of dog ever, these dogs have been in my family from my grandmother, mom and myself. My little puppy Kayla is 10 years old now and still going strong. Smart , LOYAL and that mustache lol. Take good care of her teeth, can be an issue with this breed and they are also prone to skin bumps my vet actually calls them schnauzer bumps. IMO best breed of dog to own, hypoallergenic and non shedding are also a plus.

Humans don't teach schnauzers how to "speak." They were born knowing how! Schnauzers teach humans how to "listen," and if you don't, she will let you know! She reminds me so much of our Piper, who is about to celebrate her 12th birthday. Read all you can about breed traits - they are trouble, they are loud, they do as they please, and they are smarter than you can imagine. They are THE very best dogs ever! Best wishes to you both!

She looks like my first schnauzer, I grew up only having this breed. Best dogs in my opinion. So smart, playful, sassy and full of personality. I've had 3 so far and my piece of advice to you if you don't already know is to be very aware they are prone to pancreatic problems. They cannot process human food especially fat. I suggest only the best dog you can afford and little to no human food if you want your little one to live a long and healthy life. I learned this the hard way and had to say goodbye to my loves to soon because of this. The one I have now is 12 and she is in great health and has great energy still. I only give my Molly girl Blue Buffalo dog food and freeze dried liver treats are really healthy choices and she loves them. I hope this helps because I know this puppy will steal your heart. Oh and just make sure she doesn't get bored or in solitary for long, they like to get into mischief ;) Congrats on you little love bug!

We recently got a mini schnauzer too! We named him, Pickle. :-) He is now 3.5 months old. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! By the way, it only took 2 weeks to house break our little guy. If you take her out about 1.5 to 2 hours every single time, she will pick up on the fact that outside is the only place to go. My little guy hardly ever used the puppy pad and rarely had an accident and I found out that he will sleep through the night without accidents as long as he sleeps in his kennel beside our bed.
I have a miniature schnauzer too. When he was young he keeps biting stuffs but after he grows up, he stops biting things and he is a really good boy. No shedding no biting and doesnt make much noises. He needs a lot of attention though

Clicked because I got a mini schnauzer this year too, he's about 6 months and he's so playful! His name is Mamba and he is a salt and pepper color, similar to your puppy! She's very cute, wait until you see more of her personality and the name will make sense to you. I like Mindy though. Good luck naming her, she's going to be so much fun!
For the first couple months I actually let my schnauzer bite me! I taught her bite inhibition- aka to bite gently because humans will ignore her if she bites too hard. If she bit too hard (caused any type of pain) I'd say "ow!" loudly, and ignore her. I'd give her the cold shoulder for 10 seconds. She learned very quickly. Then I taught her not to bite humans at all, which also didn't take much time. As others have suggested make sure to buy some chewing toys (mine likes her Kong tire in particular). She also loves chewing on dried rabbit feet; I buy them in bulk from Loyalty Dog Treats (not sure if you can get them outside of Canada though). As a puppy it took her days to get through one. Now they take her half an hour. I don't know if this is the way you're supposed to train dogs bite inhibition, but it worked really well for my dog. She is incredibly gentle, around babies, grabby children, other dogs, cats, even my friend's rabbit!
Bro she is adorable! A name you can name her is Airy (Air-ree) something to do with shoes. Plus it's short and sweet. Just make sure to keep those shoes put away for a while because she'll chew on them. Even while you're watching her lol. You can tell she made your world better already! Congrats bro!
My mini schnauzer samantha passed away at the age 16 last month in august. I had gotten her for my 8th birthday. I remember saying as a kid, "I'm going to have her until I'm in my 20s, I can't even imagine myself in my 20s!" She was a great pup.. when I was on the bad road of life when I was kicked out of the house, my mom would tell me that she would wait outside the doggy door waiting for me to some home.. every night until.about 3am when she would come back and lay down with my parents... that hit me so hard when I found out she did that when I came back from that dark path. RIP samantha.. Dogs are one of the most loyal animals out there..

Ours is named Bauser and he is almost seven months old. He's 49ers nation and did lots of chewing just like that! lol And I held his snout and gave him no attention when he tries to bite. He's a great dog for running. I've taken him as far as 5.5 miles in one workout.

she's teething, before you know it, you will realize you did not adopt a puppy, but more of a new baby, they do not last long, spend as much time you can with her, read up on the things you can not feed her

Awwwe I have an all white miniature schnauzer and he is sooo sassy! I’ve been going through a lot lately and he has been that little happy light in the dark.
mini schnauzers are the best. i had a girl for 11 years, she recently passed about a month ago. she's the best dog (and only dog) i've ever had. they really attach themselves to you and you definitely won't forget them. they have such funny personalities too. my dog, inga, was really sassy and funny. she was all the way until the end too.
She's just like my old dog Cookie. God I miss her, so this made me happy to see the new dog but I also started crying when I saw this new puppy. Thank you for showing her.
I got my min schnauzer puppy 2 years ago. She’s so easy to train and so protective. Intelligent. My puppy had crazy eyes as a puppy for so long!! Always biting with the crazy eyes. But she’s mellowed out. I have to exercise her 3 times a day so she stays happy. She knows so many tricks

I so enjoyed watching your video on your new pup, she is gorgeous. I had a mini but unfortunately she developed cushions disease. Eventually I had to have her put down it broke my heart. That was 5 years ago. I would dearly love another mini, they are funny, very intelligent and so loyal and Ioving, problem it's my age I will be 91 next year. Enjoy your beautiful new friend. I used to have a miniature schnauzer. He passed away 3 years ago at the age of 11, worst day of my life. I still miss him everyday. Schnauzers are a beautiful breed, they have the best temperament, are very smart and loyal and want to be friends with everyone. I miss my Levi so much (that was his name). Your little one is such a cutie and will bring you so much happiness. But be warned, they chew on everything when they're puppies. I remember coming home and mine had chewed through a new pair of flip flops lol. I'm looking forward to getting another little schnauzer very soon. Can't wait.
It doesn't get better than a Miniature Schnauzer. They're not for "first-time-doggy-owners"; they're tough! Miniature Schnauzer's are the only breed I've had my entire life. I'm on Schnauzer number 3 at the moment. The first 2 years are the hardest, but they're amazing. Good luck! Janine

I have miniature schnauzer and he just turned 3 its honestly the best thing ever ❤ , their personalities are so strong and they can be a little difficult and stubborn at times but they're super smart and will learn quickly such an amazing dog to have very playful good luck !!
I have had a miniature white schnauzer my whole life and it recently passed away from a seizure at 14 years. He was my best friend and brought so much joy and love to our family over the years. They are truly the best breed. :)
Best breed of dog ever, these dogs have been in my family from my grandmother, mom and myself. My little puppy Kayla is 10 years old now and still going strong. Smart , LOYAL and that mustache lol. Take good care of her teeth, can be an issue with this breed and they are also prone to skin bumps my vet actually calls them schnauzer bumps. IMO best breed of dog to own, hypoallergenic and non shedding are also a plus.

Humans don't teach schnauzers how to "speak." They were born knowing how! Schnauzers teach humans how to "listen," and if you don't, she will let you know! She reminds me so much of our Piper, who is about to celebrate her 12th birthday. Read all you can about breed traits - they are trouble, they are loud, they do as they please, and they are smarter than you can imagine. They are THE very best dogs ever! Best wishes to you both!

She looks like my first schnauzer, I grew up only having this breed. Best dogs in my opinion. So smart, playful, sassy and full of personality. I've had 3 so far and my piece of advice to you if you don't already know is to be very aware they are prone to pancreatic problems. They cannot process human food especially fat. I suggest only the best dog you can afford and little to no human food if you want your little one to live a long and healthy life. I learned this the hard way and had to say goodbye to my loves to soon because of this. The one I have now is 12 and she is in great health and has great energy still. I only give my Molly girl Blue Buffalo dog food and freeze dried liver treats are really healthy choices and she loves them. I hope this helps because I know this puppy will steal your heart. Oh and just make sure she doesn't get bored or in solitary for long, they like to get into mischief ;) Congrats on you little love bug!

We recently got a mini schnauzer too! We named him, Pickle. :-) He is now 3.5 months old. Congratulations on your beautiful baby girl! By the way, it only took 2 weeks to house break our little guy. If you take her out about 1.5 to 2 hours every single time, she will pick up on the fact that outside is the only place to go. My little guy hardly ever used the puppy pad and rarely had an accident and I found out that he will sleep through the night without accidents as long as he sleeps in his kennel beside our bed.

I have a miniature schnauzer too. When he was young he keeps biting stuffs but after he grows up, he stops biting things and he is a really good boy. No shedding no biting and doesnt make much noises. He needs a lot of attention though

For the first couple months I actually let my schnauzer bite me! I taught her bite inhibition- aka to bite gently because humans will ignore her if she bites too hard. If she bit too hard (caused any type of pain) I'd say "ow!" loudly, and ignore her. I'd give her the cold shoulder for 10 seconds. She learned very quickly.
Then I taught her not to bite humans at all, which also didn't take much time.
As others have suggested make sure to buy some chewing toys (mine likes her Kong tire in particular). She also loves chewing on dried rabbit feet; I buy them in bulk from Loyalty Dog Treats (not sure if you can get them outside of Canada though). As a puppy it took her days to get through one. Now they take her half an hour.
I don't know if this is the way you're supposed to train dogs bite inhibition, but it worked really well for my dog. She is incredibly gentle, around babies, grabby children, other dogs, cats, even my friend's rabbit!
I love my mini Schnauzer she has a huge personality, super protective and loves to cuddle 😍

My mini schnauzer samantha passed away at the age 16 last month in august. I had gotten her for my 8th birthday. I remember saying as a kid, "I'm going to have her until I'm in my 20s, I can't even imagine myself in my 20s!" She was a great pup.. when I was on the bad road of life when I was kicked out of the house, my mom would tell me that she would wait outside the doggy door waiting for me to some home.. every night until.about 3am when she would come back and lay down with my parents... that hit me so hard when I found out she did that when I came back from that dark path.

Ours is named Bauser and he is almost seven months old. He's 49ers nation and did lots of chewing just like that! lol And I held his snout and gave him no attention when he tries to bite. He's a great dog for running. I've taken him as far as 5.5 miles in one workout.
