I have been there as well as other lakes throughout Manitoba. We are so lucky to have such a beautiful province full of such marvels and enjoyed even shared with and by everyone. I truly believe that Manitoba is God's country and as we are only here for a short time and are just tenants here, we need to take care of our pristine nature.

Little limestone lake is gorgeous, plans to go there were stopped by Covid, once the pandemic is over my wife and I have plans to stop there and fish for a while on our way to visit her friends in Thompson.
visted this lake years ago while on a fishing trip up north, hiked in. never knew what it was called or why it was so clear and blue. it is really cool sight to see in person.
It’s actually apart of Moose lake Nations land. And yes we do own the lake. We do share it with the public. But that shouldn’t be misconstrued with us not having the the rights to the lake and the area around it.

Is there a campground or are you allowed to set up camp there? If so, is there a specific area for this or areas to stay out of? One time we were there we were just exploring and happened upon what looked like a ceremonial site of some sort. We weren’t sure what was going on, but we didn’t wanna disturb so we didn’t go any further.
went there in September i could not believe the amount of garbage that people threw in the bush off the road empty beer cans and food wrappers its sad its a wonderful area
@@theorangeswitchblade Yes and we don't need to wonder who is doing it. Dirty diapers, mattresses, beer cans, liquor bottles, etc. but I expect "visitors " will be blamed as always!!! Pity!
You have nothing to fear...the bears up there dont see humans very often and dont usally stick around ..if your a messy camper..leaveing food garbage ect outside your camp your taking your chances..otherwise no problem at all..its absoulutley breath taking!!🌝
I've been around black bear's all my life. For most part, there very timid and solitude animals. They might be curious to see who's in "their" area, but will keep their distance (maybe). Just be aware , that they are around. Pretty good chance you won't see one, unless you leave good smelling left overs (BBQ remnants) lying around. Should one show up, start making lots of noise, waive jacket around, and that should be enough to scare it off. Enjoy your time there.

My grandparents had a cabin at Little Limestone Lake until it was burnt down many years ago.
It’s kinda sad that Travel Manitoba believes there are lakes without names... every lake in the province is named... just not in English!

Yes, it is sad -- I have seen that too even other garbage, and I wonder who is really doing that??
It was full of garbage when I visited it back in 2010, very very sad to see.
