It sounds quite realistic, but has a quality that is not quite believable. A technical problem with the sound is that in OO gauge, the distances are extremely short and there is no attenuation of the sound as the train goes away into the distance. Although the camera is only a foot or away from the model, a foot in OO gauge works out to 76 feet in 1:1 scale. It is apparent that the sound had to be recorded from a platform at a closer distance than 76 feet, so that's why it does not sound quite right. However, if you recorded a train from 76 feet away, the attenuation of the microphone compared the human ear would be much greater, and that wouldn't work either! Thanks for uploading.
