Great video. I have the same screen in dark smoke for hot weather use. For cold weather I use the ERmax clear touring screen.
Great video and info. Appreciate it. :)
My 2019 came with a V Stream screen when I bought it. On the ride home I immediately noticed how much that screen actually effected the handling. I could feel the buffeting, especially passing a tractor/trailer, transferring into the handlebars. The bigger annoyance was the airflow seemed to be right above ear level on my helmet and it resonated as if one of those electric massagers were held against my brain box. The previous owner gave me the OEM screen so I swapped it back on and prefer it directing air at chest level.
Loving the shorter screen, and I also removed the handguards... They push a lot of wind, and that puts unwanted input into the bars...
experienced same esp on japanese bikes. if one is 6ft or higher, it is easier to deal with wind at one's chest. 👍
and ye, it looks far better 😀
Good choice!
Good choice, agreed giant windscreens look very dorky & block to much air.
I need this. Definitely not using stock screen in summer. I do like deflectors on short screens though. Fine tuning.
Suggestion on deflector?
@@SquireSCA I've been using the Puig for a few years. Good assortment of positions
@@rider1900 Link to the one you are using?
HI, did you have a chance to check the screen at high speeds?? Thinking of changing my screen on my tracer 9 from the standard one, i do not have a problem with the standard one though, even at 180 km/h + it seems ok. There shall of course be more wind resistance than the smaller one.. This puig looks good but would it be a problem at high speed, since my average speed around here is 160km/h..
Feels good to me so far...
the best will be something in height between those two screens. I am not sure if exist. What is the height of the sport one vs the original one?
I am sure someone makes one. I hear good things about a company called MRA, out of Germany?
Midsize probably will be my choice.
Whoa! Check out that Ducati!
I'm curious of an update on this screen. I'm thinking about swapping out my touring screen for a sport since most of my riding is backroads.
I got rid of the bike after only 4 months. I went on a 350 mile trip, and it was very uncomfortable, my neck and shoulder was in a lot of pain.
@@SquireSCAnot because of the screen, right?
@@chris993cross No, something about the bar placement and the seat and the ergonomic triangle, I just couldn't get it to work for me.
What did you buy after tracer 9?
Is the screen same as 2018-19 as the link pulls up?
Yes, the screen for the 2018+ all work
@@SquireSCA thanks. Got one coming
A prison riot shield 🛡 lol
I think it looks a lot better when it was smoked.
Yeah, but I use my GoPro a lot when I ride, so I don't like shooting through smoked or dark lenses...
There's a motorcycle in Cyberpunk 2077 that looks just like yours.
Which bike?
@@SquireSCA tbe new one. The touring bike.
It’s funny listening to someone justify the failure of their new bike farkle.😂
It's not farkle, and the shorter screen was an improvement. Ultimately I sold the bike due to it just not being comfortable
@@SquireSCAcuz obviously you should’ve got the MT-09. The Tracer is a sport-tourer, hence the tall screen.
@@tg8150 MT09 is too small for me. Went to a ZX14R and a new MT-10, problems solved.
And I had the Tracer BECAUSE it was a Sport Tourer. The screen dumping all the wind directly into your face, is a common complaint with the new Tracers... The "fix" is either a shorter screen, as I did, or a massive screen that looks like a prison riot shield... I went smaller.
Whoa! Check out that Ducati!
