LORD PALMERSTON!😂
Pitt The Elder!
Even as kids.... we knew these drunks at a bar having an argument about World War 2 Politics was hilarious 😂
De los mejores episodios, me trae tanta nostalgia que se me sale una lágrima
I would not be upset if this replaced “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the 7th inning stretch.
I prefer they replace "God Bless America" with this.
This is the only 20-something-minute piece of media that captured the magic of 19th century baseball, pre-war baseball, post-war baseball, and the modern era all in one sandwich.
This is my dad’s favorite Simpsons episode
Regularly in my head for 25 god damn years!
From Maine to San Diego......
A nostalgic and Sad song indeed
yep, it truly is. glad to know someone else out there gets the same feeling when they hear it
I don't follow baseball so when I'm hanging out with guys at work who LOVE it, I bring up This episode and BOOM ! You made a friend lol
Homer Simpson:
You're Darryl Strawberry!
Darryl Strawberry:
Yes.
Homer Simpson:
You play right field.
Darryl Strawberry:
Yes.
Homer Simpson:
I play right field too.
Darryl Strawberry:
So?
Homer Simpson:
Well, are you better than me?
Darryl Strawberry:
Well, I've never met you, but... yes.
The Simpsons are one of the only reasons why I have Disney Plus. I remember in the 90s, I had tapes on top of tapes with episodes that I recorded on the VCR. I turn into a kid again when I watch the Simpsons
This song has become so dear to me that I cry when I hear it. I was 17 when this season aired, so maybe that's got something to do with it. But whatever the reason, I just can't listen to this without getting all teary-eyed. Maybe it's male menopause, idk, it just gets me somehow
still up there. one of the best episodes ever
It's hard to believe this was as early as season 3. One of the best episodes of all time.
Well, Mr. Burns had done it
The Power Plant had won it
With Roger Clemens clucking all the while
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness made us smile
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on the barroom tile!
We're talkin' softball
From Maine to San Diego
Talkin' softball
Mattingly and Canseco
Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law
We're talkin' Homer...
Ozzie and the Straw!
Back when the Simpsons was incredible every episode
This episode is just a good time.
One play of this isn’t enough.
This was my favourite baseball episode ⚾️
*"instant nostalgia for a show you just watched"*
I was just washing the car and this song popped up in my head. Had to come back and relive some nostalgia. What a tune 😍
thank you Conan and others
This song came up in my itunes dj so I figured I check out the video.
This song, and everything involved with it, makes Homer At The Bat...the single greatest Simpson's episode ever created. I know about Frank Grimes. I don't care.
This episode is 11 years older than me and yet I still feel so cosy and warm from all the nostalgia when hearing this song. I am so glad that I watched the golden age of the simpsons when I was young.
You're like 19 years old what the fuck are you talking about "when you were still young".
Super Mega Baseball 4 has a bunch of retired major league players, and among them are Mike Scioscia, Steve Sax, and Ozzie Smith. Can't help but think of this episode and smile every time I see one of them, just like how I smiled at Scioscia's tragic illness all those years ago.
for 30 years i had no idea this was a parody
Am I the only one whereby when I listen to a theme like this or others from the simpsons golden era - i am immediately transported back to that time. I get all of the feels of watching this with my family as we'd do every week when new episodes were airing. I literally get a feeling inside me of rememberance and it's like that feeling is allowing me to experience the feeling of my childhood again. Anyone else?
I’m with you. In my mind I’m sitting in my living room with the front door open in the evening with my whole house fan pulling in cool air from the evening. My mom is cooking dinner in the kitchen, and I’m sitting on my old couch with my dad to the left of me and my brother to the right. Watching this on a projection tv. Things used to be simple.
