I always take my work black light with me. Before the suitcases get unpacked, the heads and beds get the once-over. If they pass I'll gladly stay, if not, depending on how bad it it, it's either a new room or another hotel if possible.
Thanks for the review. As a Hilton Diamond member...that place looks appalling at any price, but paying $300+ is flat out ridiculous.
Thanks for the honest review. Agree the breakfast is good. . Have stayed there twice. First time (5 or 6 years ago) was fine. Last time (last year) it was totally not worth it. Hotel is just plain drab and the lobby was as uninviting as any we've stayed in. We had to ask for a room change as the light from the nearby parking garage was glaring and the electric hum kept us awake. Too bad they let it go to pot as it use to be a very good property. Never again.

Yeah, felt the same way about the San Antonio Embassy Suites. Really outdated. Good review, but maybe talk about WiFi quality in other reviews?
Mark, I really like your honest reviews about this hotel and understand why you don’t take promotional offers from brands. I feel the same way about hotels the bathroom is key and yes seeing yellow down the wall and the peeling wall paper, looks like a water leak and mold to me.The beds are key for a good nights sleep and it looks like Hilton need to put some money in this property. When traveling with our family we try to stay at hotels that offer Suite rooms and sometimes they can be a hit or miss depending on the locations where we have traveled, most generally good.😀

I could make this work for maybe a long weekend.
Honestly I wouldn't care so much about not having a window.
But if I were at a conference or a longer stay I'd at least have to move rooms.
Looks to me like they should renovate those rooms for sure.
