Thanks for making this video! Huge help. I ended up not even having to remove the vertical piece of plastic and the U shaped piece came out without moving the seat around. Super easy after watching this.
My Kia Sedona is a 2007. Very same process. So easy a girl can do it. It is also nice to see a video where the narrator knows the difference between a nut and bolt. I see so many vids where people call a bolt a screw, and nut a bolt, and a stud a screw, and all kinds of incorrect names. Good job. I'm doing mine for camping and all I want is one seat in the back for relaxation, computer work, etc. The large seat area makes a good trunk with a lid for great storage.
Thanks! Now that we have 4 kids I only take out the seat for a big load of Al thing special. And yeah, it’s generally good to know what you’re talking about!
Just took out the seat again to take all our baggage to the airport for an international trip. Comes out pretty quick and really frees up a LOT of space.
@@bikefzx2132 Well, I’ve since realized that the Greyhound bus service ships stuff for stupid cheap, and I’ll probably be doing that instead. UPS quoted $628, and Greyhound quoted $126 picked up from his house and delivered to my door.
Seems like a nice van for a stealthy vanlife conversion!.. wondering.. what's under that storage well in the back? a gas tank or spare wheel? enough clearance for two 8 inch vent holes? also, if you remove the center row of seats, is the floor completely flat between the very back of the driver seat and that storage well? How many inches from the back of the center console and inside of the rear door?
Gas tank is forward of the huge storage well. The seats fold into it for a flat cargo area. The mini spare is under the floor behind the passenger seat.
Already lots of space after stowing the seat, is the extra space worth the trouble of removing the seat? I'd love to know what was put in that space that required the seat to be removed.
We went tent camping and didn't need the seat. Plenty of room for all our gear - 2 adults 3 young kids - inside the vehicle. Now with 4 kids we have a roof box - still no trailer - still tenting. We also needed space for all our baggage recently on the way to the airport for a 5 week international trip. Took out the seat, filled up the car and the roof box and a hitch rack with 9 large suitcases and 6 carryons. It really does increase the space available.
@@declanmckee1185 LOL I'm guessing it was too late to help you with yours. After doing the middle seats a second time I didn't run into any problems getting them back in. Last time the lever to move the seat on the rails wouldn't line up for some reason and the seat wouldn't move after setting it down.

The trunk carpet in our van got spilled milk in it and moldy. Thank you for this video.
Nice! Might be driving to New Jersey from South Carolina to pick up an exhaust, and want to save as much on gas as possible.

Nicely done. Can the middle seats be removed as well?
@@matthewwinne sorry, never tried to do that. They are but I don’t know the process.
How does the reinstallation go?Once you put it back in, can you tell that it was ever removed?
Can you remove the second row?

You can put your weed in there.
;-)
Do you know how to remove all the second row seats?
It's not nearly as easy as the back seats and was a pain to put them back in. Here's the video I followed ua-cam.com/video/ZtoU_lDlK0Y/v-deo.html

Great video. 👍. Any idea how much the seat you removed weighs?
50+ pounds
Bike Fzx Thanks
I have a '15 Sedona. Have you tried to take out the other third row seat? Also, did you make a platform or lift door yet?
No platform or lift door yet. It worked well as it was. The other seat looks to be the same but I didn't take it out.
I'd like to know how to take out the right side.
FYI, you don't even need to remove the thin vertical strip.
I had to get at that screw and took cover plates off without instructions. Not a big deal, but thanks
