So far I really love it, the only downside so far is the loss in top speed and a little fuel economy. A twenty % reduction probably would be the best all around, that being said it will crawl like no other 2mph Up about anything until the tires start slipping. None, it’s been fantastic. Currently abound 1800 miles on it so far. Over two hundred of those miles was pulling a 1500lb teardrop camp trailer. Transmission and clutches did awesome, axles not so much.. lol
I have a 2023 2 seater I run 35s trail ridding and 32s hill climb racing in Tennessee and surrounding states I looking at doing a gear reduction do you think 30% would be to much or what would you recommend
I believe 30% is a little too much. 20% would probably be better for most. I do love how well the 30% rock crawls but you will sacrifice top speed 68-70 full shift out and running 8300 rpm’s. Thanks for commenting and supporting the channel..
I have heard of guys putting weld on the gear to shaft after you press it on, do you feel that the press fit is good enough for big tires and big rocks? i know a lot of satv stuff is cheap overseas junk, how you feel about putting them gears in your transmission? if they fail you will be completely dead in the water....
I have talked with a couple individuals putting the Sara. Gear reduction in that are going to tack weld them, just to be on the safe side. I was pretty confident in the press fit but time will tell. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel..
@@091200xr I'm wanting to do 20% in mine with 35s...this was a very good info and was not bashing satv or nothing just very curious as this looks like a good way to go..only other option is cryoheat and they use turner axles gears and they have to install them for you...definitely keep us posted and keep up the good content...
ive been waiting on a video been wanting to do this since they came out with it

Hello, the new single gear from the kit, does that get pressed into the "pinion drive shaft"?
You will have to press off the stock gear first the install the one from the kit.

This is the link to the can am crew, tearing down the transmission. I hope this helps..
Have you had any issues with the gear reduction since you installed?

What is the top speed with 30% reduction and 35s?
I’m currently on 33s, 35s are the future plan. 69-70 with 33s using the speedometer. I’m sure it would be a little higher if I used gps.
