im doing the same job on my mustang and im curious what made you use epoxy vs the more common can of rust protection paint.. is that epoxy any better for keeping rust out compared to the latter?

Sorry for such a late reply buts yes epoxy primer is the ultimate rust protection, you’re correct it lasts long and is more durable but If you can’t do epoxy then any rust protection will work!

Funny af man. About to do this on my Rustang. Luckily, firewall is solid all the way up to the cowl. What goes between the floor pan and the carpet?

I’m jelly bro, nothing goes between it, I’m thinking about spraying some por-15 or some type of rubberize coating to help with noise and rust, then some dynamat

@@Saucypainter idk how I got the car for 8 grand man. It was originally a straight six, and previous owner swapped it with a 289 hipo, new rear end. Anyway… interesting. What about those holes in the floor pans?

That’s not a bad deal at all, sounds like all you need is the floor pans and you’re rolling! For the holes in the floor pan i believe you get a rubber plug kit when you get the pans from cj pony parts. You can also by the plug kit separately on their site
