Thanks for the shout out! Was hoping you'd mention my shortened neck mod too considering thats a small issue you pointing out. One thing if i can mention is that ive noticed a lot of thes allos are shipping out witg their arms upside down. The best way to see if yours is upside down is if the hands are not at an angle when neutral and if the indent near the bicep is pointing downwards. Making a sort of bulgy "elbow" Really like how in depth this was! The more accurate Allosaurus thing was pretty much how I felt about the figure when I looked it over. which is why I also made my own "accurate" Allosaurus custom Feel like using the Allos arms would make it possible to fix the massive giganotosaurus arms too!
I finally got mine a couple of days ago and I absolutely love this figure, it dethroned the pyroraptor to officially become my new #1 favourite Hammond Collection figure! Can't wait to hear your thoughts on this figure.
I just wanna say thank you Marco for all you do and if it’s possible if you can make replacements thighs for the HC T. rex :) that is if it becomes highly wanted
Would actually love if the figures had articulated necks the same way the tails new articulation works. I feel like the combination of reel-feel rubber skin and articulation could be insane if done right, and I'm actually honestly surprised that nobody's really tried to properly combine the two to the fullest extent yet. Like we have real-feel rubber figures, but all of their limbs and even tails/necks (or even jaws, looking at the old kenner dinosaurs) are all stiff/immobile, without any real articulation. On the opposite side you have the Hammond collection and similar figures with super, extreme articulation, but're still made of hard plastic. While which isn't bad by any means, also isn't the same as something like a real-feel figure. Would love to see both figures be combined more in some way, more than just the rubber tails. What if the same technique Mattel is using in the new tails could be applied to the necks or even body/spine of a figure? having a rubber body while maintaining that articulation. And unlike most real-feel figures with solid, stuff legs, what if they had actual articulated legs the same way the Hammond Collection figures do? The combination of both would be amazing to see in a figure, especially something like your already amazing Rubbersaurs.
Oh it would be wonderful! Just imagine!! I have a suspicion they wouldn't do that though because it would make the figures quite heavy. I think the weight of products affect many things, possibly including shipping prices for mattel. Maybe a combination of a nice articulated tail and the rubber body from the real feel figures would probably work alright. I would LOVE to add more articulation to my RubberSaurs! But I'm limited with the capabilities of 3D printing and moulding and casting. I think the only way to properly pull off HC grade articulation is through injection moulding, and that is extremely difficult if not impossible for me to test and use. BUT I like a challenge, and I have a few ideas up my sleeve. Who knows, maybe it can happen in the future. I really hope so aha
I'm so happy you like it. It was a huge undertaking editing this video lol. This comment alone makes up for all the effort and headaches editing it together 😅. Thanks
I hope its alright if I took screenshots just to look at later! Your efforts are so worth it as its documented for future reference. The Allosaurus will be my first Hammond Collection figure as the price is accessible. I didn't know where to get it in the UK so I ordered it on Amazon. Once again thank you. Subscribed
The fact that I just got the Allosaurus figure recently is great timing to watch this video. One thing I didn’t expect was how easy you can open the box and put it back together and that is amazing. One thing I did notice that I took note form your Giga video was the hinge axis for the top jaw and bottom jaw and the Allosaurus has a pretty massive overbite and it is very noticeable so I hope Mattel can improve on that next time. As much for proportions, I personally don’t mind them going a little bit over the limit with the arms, neck, tail and feet. Yes it’s a huge number of inaccuracies but I think they’ve executed it quite well here but again like you said, the figure is a mystery whether the source material was Dominion or Battle At Big Rock. About the glass eyes, I do have the same problem where a pupil can rarely or barely be seen but my most speculation is that the reason why this is the case with the glass eyes of the Allo is that they wanted to capture the blind eye effect without making the right eye have a unique cloudy effect so playability wise I guess can be more effective and there isn’t any repetition of a blind Allo or something. You know what I mean right? My Allo has a very small pupil but I can see it well enough but then again, it is very hard to see. It is quite weird that the feet claws are very long, flat and point but I think that’s due to Colin’s request of making the allosaurus malnourished because there could be some weight loss in the feet as well exposing more of the claws. 20:45 Marco! You’re not alone on this! My Allo has the same thing with one side not having a spray painted jaw even on the same side! 24:04 Yes Mattel, do NOT get any funny ideas. Don’t ruin your reputation now with these figures. One thing I love about Ethan’s explanation on his approach to a more accurate Allo is that his points and concepts actually physically show on the Allo whereas with Insider or some channel explaining how Universal made the Giganotosaurus animatronic for the Dominion movie, they say they looked at historical evidence and putting it onto the Giganotosaurus but in an execution looks like an edgy teenager designed the Giga.
What a lovely analysis video! It was awesome to see Ethan there as well! Very nice indeed. Marco have you heard the news though? The Spinosaurus has now been confirmed for the Hammond Collection!
20:45 Marco! You’re not alone on this! My Allo has the same thing with one side not having a spray painted jaw even on the same side! It seems that this decision could be the final model or it’s just a coincidence between the both of us
Hey! Thanks for your comments! I recently hot a second allosaurus figure and that one has paint on both sides of the jaw. So I honestly think it's just inconsistency in the factories, some have paint, some don't, same reason as some have a bigger gap on the shoulder paint and some don't.
Each release from this line gets better and better for me. I’m just waiting for the spinosaurus to get a Hammond collection figure then I’ll pull the trigger
Marco!!! PLEASE MAKE A JURASSIC WORLD Evolution ALLOSAURUS REPLACEMENT HEAD! It's such an underrated design!! And would actually convince me to buy Hammond allo
BRO I 100% agree I haven't bought hc allo either, but if he does this I'll buy the head and the hc allo, I real dislike the movie design. JWE is way better
Pues el Allosaurus de The Big Rock es mas grande que el de Dominion, es mas, tiene un tamaño muy parecido al T-Rex. El render con las nuevas proporciones de brazos cuello y cabeza esta brutal, un Allosaurio perfecto
Thanks for the review and Happy New Year, Marco. Also, welcome back. I gained a lot of inspiration from your sculpting tutorials and have in fact done some experimenting of my own to create posable characters with affordable and readily available materials that I am very excited to share with you. Stay tuned for some near future tutorials. I think that you will appreciate the ideas that I’ve come up with. 🦖🦕
Yep! It's interesting cause in CT they gave it pronated wrists while in BABR and Dominion they didn't. I like how the figure lets you pose it in both ways 👍
I'm not sure what you mean. It's supposed to be symmetrical, I got a second one the other day and that has the paint on both sides of the jaw, the way it's supposed to be.
That's interesting tbh, I didn't think it needed it as the current one is like a mix of it and babr. I'm not sure if I'll do that unless there's a lot of interest in it.
I always thought if you had a job at Mattel you can make us what we want and really deserve is better movie accurate versions of the JP movie dinosaurs
Both of them are blind on mine aha. Jokes aside this figure doesn't have blind eyes at all while the one in the film and show is supposed to have a blind right eye. I'm guessing they chose not to give it one probably to a similar reason as the HC Therizinosaurus. Who knows
You wanna talk whiny and nitpicky? All of your previous comments on his channel have been nothing but bitchin, moaning and complaining about his honest and truthful critiques. For "premium" figures that are sold at $35 USD per dino, the least the multi-billion dollar company could do is do the paint and proportions right. But nah, go ahead and keep licking Mattel's boot
Bruh marco is already a lot more lenient than most serious collectors. As a serious collector myself, a figure with big feet, long arms, and no eye ball compared to its movie counterpart is considered an automatic fail. If I bought a godzilla figure with these issues, then it would be considered a bad figure. Why would I let it slide for Mattel? I agree with Marco that this is acceptable for a Mattel figure. But let’s not act like it’s perfectly accurate JW allosaurus
Thanks for the shout out! Was hoping you'd mention my shortened neck mod too considering thats a small issue you pointing out.

This is such a great standard you are setting for analysis videos! I appreciate this was a fair amount of work to put together!
I appreciate it so much! Thanks 🥹💪🦖

The only thing I'm not convinced about are the glass eyes!!! XD The rest is PERFECT! :)
I hope that Mattel does upgrades for the earlier Hammond Collection figures
loved all the comparison images from the side. the figure, the fossil skeleton, and the film model. Thank you so much for all the information
I'm so happy you like it. It was a huge undertaking editing this video lol. This comment alone makes up for all the effort and headaches editing it together 😅. Thanks

Hey yes of course! For personal use and reference 👍 Take screenshots! 🦖
WE WILL BE WATCHING

I have!! Hopefully it's a JP3 Spinosaurus, and a good one at that!
Thanks btw 🥰🥰🥹🦖
15:28 wow❤
I’m watching and I love it 😊
Creo que ahora si estoy seguro de querer comprar esta figura . Excelent Review Marco.
3:30 they probably posed it via photoshop to fit the box
Yes probably
20:45 Marco! You’re not alone on this! My Allo has the same thing with one side not having a spray painted jaw even on the same side!

Great video I wish they sold this allo on Amazon

So you'll customize it to make it more similar to the short film, right?
I'm unsure yet. But probably yes aha
@MarcoMakesOfficial Well I hope you do it
Esse alossauro é incrível
Great collab !!!! Maybe someone will issue up some upgradable more accurate hands on Etsy….
Great video ❤
Grazie papi ❤️❤️❤️🦖
❤
24:27 heaven forbid you just leaked what they're gonna do to the HC Spinosaurus
Marco!!! PLEASE MAKE A JURASSIC WORLD Evolution ALLOSAURUS REPLACEMENT HEAD! It's such an underrated design!! And would actually convince me to buy Hammond allo
YES! I second this
BRO I 100% agree I haven't bought hc allo either, but if he does this I'll buy the head and the hc allo, I real dislike the movie design. JWE is way better

I personally believe that Allosaurus colour is the same as Alligator today or brownish gray colour when they’re alive millions years ago! 🤔
Are you ready?🎉🎉🎉🎉
Maybe im dumb but the neck on the JWE2 model and the HC are the exact same size. The neck looks long because the tail is a little short
The neck is definitely longer due to the shorter body size.
@MarcoMakesOfficial yeah I would say it's definitely a little long in proportion
They’re supposed to be the same animal in BaBR and CT.
Yep! It's interesting cause in CT they gave it pronated wrists while in BABR and Dominion they didn't. I like how the figure lets you pose it in both ways 👍
@ I thought it was a bizarre choice in CT.
Very odd. Maybe they reused the same rig as another theropod in the show and didn't notice the wrists.
20:50 it’s supposed to look like that
I'm not sure what you mean. It's supposed to be symmetrical, I got a second one the other day and that has the paint on both sides of the jaw, the way it's supposed to be.
Hope u do a JWE headpiece for him
That's interesting tbh, I didn't think it needed it as the current one is like a mix of it and babr. I'm not sure if I'll do that unless there's a lot of interest in it.
I always thought if you had a job at Mattel you can make us what we want and really deserve is better movie accurate versions of the JP movie dinosaurs
Noticed it
Marco the allosaurus of jurassic world dominion is a male an the battle and big rock is female
Is there some official confirmation for this?
This is why I can't watch this type of vids, cause my wallet is gonna kill me 😭🙏
Where Is the blind eye? On This figure.
Both of them are blind on mine aha. Jokes aside this figure doesn't have blind eyes at all while the one in the film and show is supposed to have a blind right eye. I'm guessing they chose not to give it one probably to a similar reason as the HC Therizinosaurus. Who knows
My guy now of these issues are bad, your just being extremely whiny and nitpicky :/
I didn't say they were bad, they're just observations. It's a good figure. You get to decide if those things are bad or good 😊
You wanna talk whiny and nitpicky? All of your previous comments on his channel have been nothing but bitchin, moaning and complaining about his honest and truthful critiques.
