  • You probably love creative renewal with yarn. Maybe you remember the famous knitting lace from your childhood, but have you tried the smart knitting mill? A knitting mill is a tool that easily and quickly produces knitted knitting lace. The knitting lace is popular to use for decoration or for sewing together for table spanners, egg heaters, etc.

Hello dear, thank you for the amazing video. I tried mine but it was stretchy and the loops are not close to each other, do i have to change the yarn?

      Hi @@nohael-shishtawy2922
Sorry for the late reply. Yes try changing the yarn. It should be yarn for crochet hook no. 2.5 - 3.5. Thicker or heavier can damage the machine.
      I hope this helps. 😊
      Happy holidays

Hi, am using the same knitting mill, but i don't get the loop at all. Even the first loop is clumsy and nothing works. Am not sure where am making the mistake. Could you please help.

      Hi CherubimShiromi
Put in the yarn from the outside, through the lower guide and over the upper guide. Turn the needles so you have one needle where the yarn goes over the upper guide. Skip the first needle (no. 1) and go to the next needle left to that one (no. 2) (if you hold it like she does when she threads it). Make sure the latches are open! Thread needle no. 2 and skip no. 3. Thread no. 4 and put the yarn through the tube. Attach the clip and start turning the handle slowly. Then it should be starting to knit a tube for you. 😊
I hope this will help you get started. 🤞🤞
Remember the yarn should be lighweight. Heavier yarn could damage you machine.

@@cchobby hi, thank you so much for the response. I did try the way you mentioned. But what happens is once I complete one cycle the thread does not pass through the latch. It gets stuck every time. I tried using 4ply cotton yarn and 2ply baby weight yarn too. Sadly am not getting even a single stitch.

@@CherubimShiromi Hmm. Are the latches opening and closing as they should? Are you sure the yarn is getting under the latch when the needle is up? I just tried reloading my own knitting mill. Sometimes I have to push the yarn below the open latch, when the needle is at the top, just before it is grabbing the yarn and going donw again. Does it make sense? 😅🙈

@@cchobby ya exactly that's the problem. The latch is doesn't open properly where it needs to, the latch stays open where it shouldn't. Either it gets stuck or it misses a knot and messes up my tube.. I wonder when I would make a tricotin tube..

@CherubimShiromi It sounds like the mill might be damaged. Can you see if a needle or a latch is damaged? It may have been pinched or so, so it is not easy to open and close.
Maybe you could help it open and close the first few rounds with some tweezers. If it still does not work proberly after the help you are giving, and if you bought it at our webshop, then please contact customer service. Then they should be able to guide you through what to do with a damaged product and the return of that, and the following steps.
Please have order no. ready for that if you contact them. 😊
I hope it works out for you.
      Happy holidays. 🎄
