Hlo dear ....I have one question ...after receiving should we buy tickets or wait for visa stamping...my classes will start on 4 sept....I submitted my passport on 8 of August and received my PPR on 5 August
Ideally, passport stamping takes somewhere between 15 to 20 days. But in some cases it might take more than that. If I were in your place, I would first track my visa stamping, if it was already on the verge of completion, I would definitely go for booking tickets. It has already been 10 days today, I suggest track your visa stamping and if possible, go for refundable tickets. Meanwhile start packing and collecting your documents. Good luck 🤞
PS. My classes are starting on 5 sept and I am travelling on 29 August. If you are booking your ticket now, try to book on or after 29 August to avoid any problem caused by passport delay. Either book refundable ticket or wait till you receive your passport.

Hello sister, my college is alpha college Toronto collaborated with st. Lawrance college and my program is also offers by st lawrance in alpha. But I m very confused about on which portal i will do my course registration. Because alpha college don't have it's student portal. Can u please explain me in detail how can I do my course registration😢
Dear best option is to email both colleges and ask them by giving your course details, student id and admission detail. Ask them on which portal do u need to register your courses. I have no information about those colleges. But if alpha college doesn’t have its portal, I think you will have to register your courses on main campus’s portal. But still once confirm from your college.

You can come….. but I suggest go at most 15 days before classes…. 45 days pehle jane ka koi benefit nhi…. Apka rent aur grocery aur travel pe bht jada spending ho jayegi…. Classes se pehle app work bhi start nhi kr skte….so not a good step.

It varies from college to college. In my case, my classes were in September beginning, and my registration opened in the July end.

Hii karan, when you apply for offer letter in the college, you will recieve your student id and student login portal within 2-3 days.

I would suggest you should go 15 days before classes…. Although that is not fixed…. You can go anytime after stamping before classes …. If your visa is stamped…… you can book tickets now…. Because they will be cheaper now…. But try to book refundable if possible in any case…..you know….

You have to select the date while booking the ticket, but if you buy a flexible ticket (that is expensive), then you can change your flight date. I would suggest booking a ticket two or three weeks before your classes start, if you’re going on a study permit. The sooner you buy your tickets, the cheaper it will be. Good luck.🤞

If registration is open, then you must register for your courses before due date. This is mandatory.

99.9% yes! They check all the documents, and stamp the visa on passport. I rarely cases, where they find fake documents, they send the passport back without stamping visa. But it is very rare, almost negligible.

@@Inder_2608 Yes I have a job offer. But since work permit has not come yet so how would they can provide a joining date. It is not specified anywhere or known to anywhere how long it takes to get the work permit visa after biometric. It is case specific. Actually the case is. I have something very urgent in November and I only want to go to Canada after November. Current Waiting for work permit visa. Which I expect to come by September. So my question is, if I get the visa in September, is it mandatory to travel as soon as the visa arrives or I can postpone to 2-3 monthS. Legally. I can give the reason to my employer but what if legally it is not possible???
@@abican7327 basically U can legally enter Canada anytime before your visa expiry. However my concern is what if the job offer has a starting date, which is usually mentioned on the job offer, in that case try to enter before the job starting date or the immigration officer might raise an issue at the border. In your case, as you mentioned, your job offer doesn’t specify a start date, I am a bit surprised.

Just find the email address of your college from your offer letter or online and write them that your passport is stamped. Mention your name and program and student id as well.

My college is Columbia college in vancouver
I emailed them and sent port of entry, visa and ppr (through my consultant ) and asked if i can get student portal id they said you will get your student portal id only after landing in canada on orientation (which is before the classes )

Did you ask your college or the consultant????? This is wierd. You must get your student portal once you are admitted. Make sure that you everything is authentic.
If you have received email from your college saying that what you mentioned above…… then keep that email safe… take a screenshot and show it to immigration officer if they ask about registration

Hi, your help is much needed. what if a college doesn't have a portal, no login and password provided and the there is no option for registering the courses as well, is it ok to travel with valid visa and LOA
Usually they do not ask to show registration….. but there is a possibility that they can ask about it at the airport. Why wouldn’t a college have its portal???? It is not possible

Most probably in November. But still keep an eye on all mails received from college. Your college will e mail you at your student id when registration would start.

Hii i open my student portal and click on request for enrollment letter but when its open then there is a written line that enrollment verfication is not available because you have no enrollment information on file can you tell me what it does meaning
Either it is not available yet or may be some information on your part is missing. It’s best if you mail your college that ‘I have not received enrolment letter yet. How can I get it?’ Write proper mail and mention your name, student id, program of study. Send this mail from your student id to admissions department of your college

First of all, congratulations! Are you talking about student portal? You can not create student portal. Student ID is given by the college which is used to login to student portal. If you have student id and password, you can login to your portal. No need to wait.
