- a basic profile on this wonderful fun and pretty species of shell dwelling nano cichlid with parameters, tank setup and feeding breeding. often confused with the very similar multifasciatus but the difference is in the stripes.

Pretty and characterful, always up to something too, very underrated as something easy to keep in hardwater areas.

Cheers tat man Dan, lets be honest, they're multis with slightly different striping lol. Took ,e a fair bit of hunting to figure put what i had as i bought them as "shelldwellers" turns out similis are a bit rarer to find and sell for a better price as a result!

Use crushed coral or aragonite sand for substrate and watch the ph rise.
