I just got one of these President George FCC radios from Mike. It’s a fine quality radio with great ears! The finest quality and technology CB radio ever made. He does a beautiful job of setting the radio up like he would use it for himself. I don’t even want to run a radio not set up by Mike. The extra care he goes to with setup you can hear on the radio and from reports you get. Mike loves it so much it’s all second nature to him. Mike you’re a talented guy and have made the hobby more enjoyable for me. 73’s to everybody out there!
I've been binge watching reviews of this radio and found your channel. I think this is going to be my next CB (upgrading from the President McKinley). Subscribed.
@@ScottsRadios I've never heard of that problem before, and I have two of them. I bought one new in 2012; the other one was a $10 hamfest find a few years ago. What my friend hasn't been able to find is a good used Cobra 29 LX, the one with the display? He's bought two at hamfests and despite the sellers telling him that they "worked fine" both have no output on transmit, not even if he listens on a nearby receiver. Helpful hint: if a radio has no output but you can hear it on a nearby receiver the final is probably shot. These two seem to have a signal generation/PLL problem because it's not generating a low level 27 MHz signal.
I am getting ready to put up my cobra 2k and was thinking of running one of these as a base. Have an RM Italy 200p on the base so I know it will be fine in there. I would love to know how this radio would work in my truck with the RM Italy 503HD. Might buy 2 of them and replace my 959 in the truck too.
Some operators like to have different options besides just worrying about power as a deciding factor on which radio they want to use. All the radios you listed are good in my opinion. Just some are not interested in having the amateur radio or export bands included. Still like I mentioned in the video, some prefer using a CB for CB. The George FCC makes that really enjoyable versus other alternatives on the market for CB.

Thanks George, the feedback is definitely appreciated.
Recorded the audio separately from the video feed. You guys might notice UA-cam adds a slight delay from the audio/video feed lining up.
Thank you very much! I will jump online and look for the low pass filters tonight! 73's (This is Aaron btw)
I have the MFJ-704. I can’t tell if it does what it is supposed to I don’t have equipment to test it but I get no complaints.
Those are nice looking radios, especially like that it has several display color options.
You are going to love this radio.😃

Its a really nice one.
@@ScottsRadios I'll be ordering one from you next payday.
Love this radio
Me too 😁
A side effect of the new radios is that you can get a good deal on a Bearcat 980 at a hamfest. My friend got a nice one for $50 yesterday.
That's a pretty good deal, hopefully the screen doesn't fail on him.

Maybe I'll do a video showing how it works with the 503 HD.
I used AI to remove the background noise of the test equipment.
The robot overlords will take over 😮
What Reseller were you able to order the George II from? Can the George II be modified to operate on 10 meters without voiding the warranty?
Any President Dealer in Europe.

OK Scott and CB.PUNISHER.1900: Thank you for your replies.
5 watts max?
Not sure what you mean?
@@ScottsRadios I'm saying this radio is a low power radio not like a Washington or quad 5 what kinda power will it produce
AM 1-4
1 to 5-6 Pep AM
4 to 20-24 Pep AM
SSB 24-28 Pep
Less on SSB when lowering RF power.
FM 1-4
No Pep on FM.
@@ScottsRadios darn I am going to be running a 500 watt amp
Didn't you say something like a 503hd RM?
Those are definitely not a 500 w model. They actually prefer about 25 watt in PeP.
