    Enjoyed another video canned chicken. I have canned alot of different meat and vegetables. It is really good to come home and open jars of food, heat and enjoy. We really love the different types of foods that we have canned. God bless and, we enjoyed the video

    Sounds goood, especially if you want to make some chicken noodles soup (homemade is the best).

    Don't you need a one inch headspace?

    Great video. We cave started canning all of our freezer meats. Did you have any issue from not having any head space in the jar?

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays
      @TrueGritAppalachianWays  2 роки тому +1

      No, anytime I can meat I try to get those jars pretty darn full, the meat shrinks so much, especially pork, you wouldn’t have much if you didn’t squeeze it in. All my jars sealed beautifully and I still have some from this day and none have broken seal 🙂 thank you for watching and God Bless 🙏🙏

      It’s around 18 months as long as your jars are sealed correctly, thank you for watching!

    Im probably telling you something you already know but I know you raise the CornishX for meat and I have for 18 years but in the last several years I have discovered that canning bone in dark meat of ranger broilers or heritage chickens has superior flavor and texture than the canned Cornish X. Try it next time you cull roosters or old hens. You will notice a huge difference.
